Dining pkg question

i purchased the drink pkg for my husband and I and then customer service talked me into buying the three night dining pkg for $85. I bought two of those. What I didn't understand or maybe am hesitant about,is that she said I'd make my reservations for the specialty restaurants once onboard,instead of ahead of time. My fear is there will be no vacancy for a reservation if I wait that long. Anyone have any insite on this? Also at the specialty restaurants do I have the choice to sit alone with just my husband? I feel if I'm paying extra we should be able to sit by ourselves. Thanks.

You have no choice with the dining packages, reservations must be made onboard. If you are flexible, and you go to a specialty restaurant as soon as you board, you should have no trouble making reservations. Specialty restaurants seat you by yourselves by default.

Never had a issue getting table for 2, also tables are normally bigger and not as close to other tables like MDR, we had package last 2 cruises never had a issue with getting restaurant we wanted
