Fredric22 Posted July 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2004 This was a truly amazing trip onboard the Vogager. The food and service onboard werebamazing. The ship was in wonderful condition and is truly a an amazing sight to see. Some people mentioned the food was hit or miss... in that case, I must have had great aim because everything we had in the windjammer and in the dinning room was very good. The production shows could have been a bit better, but overall the entertainment was very strong. I will be happy to answer questions about the trip! jonsmom Posted July 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Were you on the 9 day or 5 day? If you were on the 9 day, which excursions did you do? jonsmom
Fredric22 Posted July 26, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted July 26, 2004 I was on the 9-Day. We did the Duns River Falls and Shopping Highlights in Ocho Rios which was very good and the Grand Cayman Snorkel in Georgetown which was also very nice. Both of these excursions took place very close to the ship, so they were very convenient.

jonsmom Posted July 26, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2004 We are not crusin til next June, but I am already planning Dunns River Falls and then Margaretiville. No shopping here. I would like to do Stingray City in Grand Caymen. Do you know anyone who did Tranquility Shores in Freeport? What did you do in Freeport? How was the weather? Terribly hot? Thanks! rfendt Posted July 26, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 26, 2004 How were the seas going down and coming back? Any seasickness or noted movement on the seas? Or was it nice and smooth Thanks! Debbie
berd0625 Posted July 26, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 26, 2004 What cabin were you in? We will be all the way foreward and am getting concerned it may be to far from midship. Any casino stories?
Fredric22 Posted July 26, 2004 Author #10 Share Posted July 26, 2004 The seas both ways were fine. There was very little movement especially in the Caribbean waters. We arrived at the pier at 11:45 and we were on the ship at 12:00! There check in process was amazing. The CD played the usual games: Horse Racing, Bingo, Belly Flop Contest, Quest, Love and Marriage Game Show, and some others I cant think of off the top of my head. Sorry, I dont know about that shore excursion. In Freeport, we went to Lacaya Beach and went in the water for about two hours and did some shopping around the area. We made it back to the ship for lunch. The weather was great. It may have showered a few times, but overall I really cant complain. We stayed in a superior balcony cabin (D1). It was a bit tight with 3 people in the room, but it was still comfortable. The bathroom is not quite as large as Carnival's, but the rest of the room is comparable to other cruises. marciemi Posted July 26, 2004 #11 Share Posted July 26, 2004 What time were you off the ship disembarking? Thanks!
Fredric22 Posted July 26, 2004 Author #12 Share Posted July 26, 2004 On a side note, the Casino was not very good for me. Some people managed to walk away winners, but I'm sure they were few and far between. Our luggage tags were called by 11:45 and we were off of the ship and in the car by 12:00 or just a bit after. It was a breeze. The buses were there waiting right when we stepped off of the gang way. They have a system that seems to work very well. Keep them coming!
