4 Cats restaurant/Barcelona

A couple of people mentioned this restaurant. Could someone tell me anything about, type of food, price range, location. Thanks for any info.

It's an easy walk from the Placa Catalunya.

We didn't love it. The food was OK, but not great. It was noisy and crowded.

It's been there for many years and was the bar that artists like Picasso and Miro used to hang out in back in the 30's and is popular for it's unchanged decor and nice vibes.

We found the food to be very good - we stuck w/ typical Catalonian dishes and the service pleasant. It was not crowded the night we were there. Prices are moderate.

It's located a few blocks of Las Ramblas and you would need your hotel concierge to give you a little map to find it.

We ate there in 1999 during a pre-cruise stay in Barcelona, and enjoyed it. Two years ago, during another pre-cruise stay, we ate there again - it was terrible and so was the service. This year, we're again staying pre-cruise in Barcelona and nothing, not even a free meal, would get me back there.

Sounds like maybe we should skip this restaurant. Any other suggestions for a good place or two. We will be there two nights. Thanks,
