Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I was wondering if anybody has heard if the Club Orange restaurants on these two ships are going to be refitted to be the same as the one on the Rotterdam. Having been in CO on both Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam the difference in decor and ambience is huge. The Rotterdam CO restaurant is lovely while the one on Nieuw Statendam really does feel like you are sitting in someones kitchen. I know the CO restaurants on Koninsdam and Nieuw Statendam were originally built to be the test kitchens.
  2. I would keep the Hawaiian cruise and add Club Orange for $15pp per night. I have recently just returned from 21 nights on the Rotterdam in Club Orange. The Club Orange restaurant was terrific. You can dine at dinner anytime between 5 and 9pm. The restaurant is also open for breakfast. My only problem is that in future it will steer me towards the Pinnacle Class ships as they are the only ones that have the separate Club Orange restaurant. I have sailed on Sky Princess, Discovery Princess’s sister ship. The ship is beautiful but everything is centred around the atrium. There are no nice spaces like the Crow’s Nest where you can relax and just watch the ocean. Also I found the food better on HAL.
  3. I am currently on Rotterdam in Club Orange. The restaurant has been superb so far in both service and food. The big problem for me is that it does tend to sway me now for future HAL cruises towards the Pinnacle Class ships with the separate restaurant.
  4. The complimentary hot canapés in the Sky Lounge before dinner.
  5. What baffles me is that the three HAL Pinnacle Class ships all have specifically designed outside single cabins. Admittedly they are not in the best position as they are right at the bow under the theatre. But they are in the original design of the ships so why would Cunard change it?
