  1. You could book a transfer with georgestaxi.com and have them drive you to Sounion and then to the airport. You can include lunch at a beach taverna. Four hours are plenty of time for all of that.
  2. Santorini: Akrotiri, Pyrgos, beaches, Fira Athens: Acropolis, Plaka, National Archaeological Museum, Acropolis museum. Forget about Sounion, it's too far. Katakolon: Olympia - a must.
  3. Let them know your flight number. They will be waiting for you.
  4. Look at the pinned thread above. Look at post #337 on page 14 for recommendations and awards from Italy's top food magazine. Wherever you pick, reserve asap.
  5. Yes, there are many taxi stands in Rome and thousands of taxis. Your hotel will point you to the closest line or call you one. Google maps will also show taxi stands. You can also flag them on the street. Most rides will cost you between 10 and 15 euros.
  6. @NCteacherlovescruising Do you still have a flight to Madrid, then a flight BCN-FCO, or are you flying directly to FCO? We were talking a while back about complicated flight itineraries. I forget what you decided to do. If directly to FCO, even changing flights in the US, I would agree on checking, especially when you are going to be six days in Rome after the flight. They will get the bags to you at the hotel. My only concern would be if we had tight connections or if we were moving to a different location or ship the next day. Going home we always check the suitcases. Having said all of that, we just flew to Florida. We checked two identical bags at the same time. One went on our flight, the other one went on the following flight, so we had to sit at the airport to wait for it. Go figure. (Other than that, we have never had any problems checking bags.) Make sure you put airtags in your bags whether you check them or not. The Clarins would probably be cheaper in Europe than here. Check the prices as suggested above in amazon.it.
  7. I think the OP is taking a ship's tour that ends in Fira and needs to take the cable car down. Chances are they tender to Athinios and only return from Fira. AFAIK - ship excursions provide the return ticket for the cable car.
  8. For sure they have it. Check out the pharmacies as you walk past them. Specific items may be available in different stores. Also look for a "profumeria" or perfume store. They also carry beauty supplies. I even think I saw a Sephora somewhere in Rome.
  9. Your tour guide will give you a ticket which should be included in the tour price. Then you stand in line. No numbers, no calls, just wait your turn in line. You know it's your turn to get on when you get to the car.
  10. Frankly, Barcelona is not the place for flamenco. Tapas, yes. However, if the OP is not going to Andalusia, a one hour show is enough to satisfy their curiosity. If possible, an earlier show would be best to leave the evening free for tapeo and dinner. (Tapeo = going out for tapas)
  11. The sardana is danced every Sunday at 11 am in front of the Cathedral.
  12. For a car service look at https://www.romecabs.com/ or https://sharedshuttle.it/. Book directly with them. They are both reliable, well-reviewed companies. Book ahead of time. Uber would not be as well used or less expensive. For hotels look at the thread at the top of this forum for many suggestions.
  13. @NCteacherlovescruising If you use any European products, shop for them there. Pharmacies usually stock high end beauty products. Throughout Europe, pharmacies are identified by a green cross sign, usually in neon. Don't forget to post about your adventures. Bon voyage!
  14. The show is one hour long. You are better off going for tapas and/or dinner after the show. As with any show, you will most likely get much better food elsewhere.
