  1. My point was instead of you being on the phone and frustrated with the service, let the TA deal with them. And many of them have their own private contact within the cruise line. I don't know if ours still does, but he did the last time we sailed on Princess and were getting contradictory information from their phone representatives.
  2. As I read that the music from Deliverance started running though my head.
  3. Although the main reason we go to museums on many of our ports is that DW is a (now retired) art teacher, another reason is that their bathroom are also free.
  4. And the "expert guests" are the one who probably least need to depend on the Princess call center for the proper information. Why don't people just use TAs and let them deal with Princess on the phone? What kind of "control" is it to deal with totally incompetent and often not understandable cruise line phone representatives?
  5. Maybe if there were an Indian restaurant, they would not only not question a Nehru jacket but positively welcome it.
  6. It's freestyle, if you want to wear wire instead of clothes, why not? I really enjoyed last summer I could wear at any time including dinner tie dye tee shirts. Only problem was it spoiled me. We went on a river cruise this past month, and I was disappointed that I had to have collared shirts to wear at dinners. Oh well, still enjoyed the river cruise.
  7. Are you ready to say you will not cruise again with a cruise line that does that to you? If so, will you follow through with the threat? 😉 I am once again being astute. 😊
  8. Maybe the slightly less expensive cruise had more non-commissionable items. The percentage that the TA rebated you might not really be different.
  9. See post #51 in this thread where you say you wonder how many actually follow through on their threats. So are you going to follow through or not? 😉
  10. How about Going to Mexico by the Steve Miller Band? The first lines of the song are: Pack my bags I'm ready to go And that is sung to a real catchy tune.
  11. Yes, there is really a lot to do within walking distance of the port in Halifax. We were going to visit several more places until we were so fascinated with the Canadian Immigration Museum that we spent several hours there. But there are several more places that one could try to see that might be interesting.
  12. Thanks, I'd argue for a 10 if we had not managed to get the first available flight back home. One thing RCCL actually did well was make the internet cafe free so people could e-mail family, travel agents, airlines, etc. I know my mother in law thought they were going to drop us off in the middle of a hurricane until we e-mailed her. And everyone was considerate and did not hog the computers.
