Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Yes love this for you! I'm livid about missing 2 of our ports. Technically we missed half of the cruise. And that's worth more than $50 back and a quick stop at Nassau. 😔 I'm dreading going back to cold weather and was really hoping to lay out on a lounger at gsc all day. Nassau has beaches but I'd have to pay and 1:30 all aboard doesn't give much time.
  2. Which it definitely does not. 1 because I was her age when I had to get a passport for an open jaw sailing. And 2... he's looking for another person to place blame on for his failures. First it was ncls fault, now it's her fault... Literally anybody but him who was the one who did the online check in and read (or was supposed to read) the guest service contract.
  3. Again though... you did have proper notice. You just chose to ignore it. The line should not be penalized for your failure to read or ask questions. You were getting a comp stateroom and that's why you are being charged to cancel.
  4. Exactly! Technically they had already booked the cruise. If ncl changes their online check in, then some people will complain that check in is requiring a passport when theirs simply hasn't arrived yet or are in the process of getting one. You can never satisfy everyone
  5. Strongly disagree here. If he is such a seasoned cruiser, it would have not been a big deal to pick up the phone or do a simple web search to have a confirmed answer weeks ago. This is something I figured out my second sailing at 22 years old. And then I did what needed to be done and spent what needed to be spent to make sure I could get me and 2 others on my sailing.
  6. It definitely isn't going to work for you. I took a repo cruise from Puerto Rico to NY and understood from the numerous guides on ncl website that a passport would be needed for a open cruise. I had 3 of us go to the ny office for our passports and paid extra for rush processing but they take hours and call you when it is complete to come pick it up. This situation sucks but it is something that is on you as the passenger to be aware of your contract. Your best bet is to be extremely nice and hope that they let you reschedule or choose a different sailing. Best of luck!
  7. Make sure you are using your stockholder benefit for your onboard credit. I've been on a few cruises since covid and ncl still takes the cake for me. However I am not a fan of the direction they are heading with the new ships like prima. I will stick to breakaway class ships.
  8. Same.. I waited on that long line to check my bottle and was told it's small enough that i can just keep it. Don't worry ncl. I'm not opening my precious tequila when I have unlimited drinks on board. 😆
  9. If yall don't like lines at bars and crowds... I recommend not booking prima. 😳😳
  10. Oh no... this isn't typical of most breakaway experiences. For your drink issues - can I recommend visiting dj and Christian at the sail and sustain bar. Also if you're at osheehans ask aj to make you one of his specials. 😉
  11. I agree with your sentiments. Especially on sea days I often sleep in and lounge around, sometimes missing the morning service. I look forward to the evening service which is usually after I shower and my room is a little messy getting back from a port day. So if im scheduled for morning service and miss it... then what? 🙃 I think we all understand what's happening and how they have to make up for lost revenue during covid but pick one or the other. As a business, it's a poor decision to increase dsc and decrease service. Keep dsc the same and say we are scaling back to 1 room service a day. They seem to be doing too much all at once.
  12. They could DEFINITELY cut back on the mailings. Heres the thing... if most of us are going to cruise, we are already browsing and planning. Vacations are not something that you can trick people into doing. If it's happening, it's happening. You don't need to mail me postcards.
