Providing a website does nothing.  There is not a choice on the drop down menu about politics.  Not on Princess or any other cruise lines website.

If it is too much for you to elaborate on your stance, that's up to you.  But I am certainly not wasting my time perusing a website looking for something that you consider political and that you're against.

This is my last time asking for you to just blurt out what you have against Princess.

Then stop using the company as a pawn of control. See how easy this is? You do you - I'll do me... And so it goes.

My priority is no deaths, especially mine. Others obviously think deaths are fine as long as they aren't inconvenienced a little.

Then it's easy-peasy. Stay in your house and don't allow anyone in! Expecting others to adhere to your view of protocol so that you can do as you wish is only about complete control and utterly self-centered. Leaving your domain is your choice - expecting others to jump through your hoops is insanely selfish.

Let's say that Carnival and other cruise lines stay with the no vaccine policy. In reality, the US population will still have a relatively high percentage of pax that have been vaccinated pretty soon. Most likely before cruising starts. LOL!

So, if they require testing for those not vaxed, then the reality would be that everyone has been mitigated to one degree or another.

So, is that such a bad thing?

    Nope.

Did not taking the vaccine effect your brain?  Look at all of the Euro cruises and repositioning cruises that you want.  The current policy on the Princess UK cruises is that you need to be vaccinated and you have to live in the UK.  This was also previously mentioned by another poster and confirmed by a third poster in this thread.

By the way, what exactly is the "political position" of Princess cruises?

    EDIT...Your post was 590, it was mentioned again on 593 & 597.

DOUBLE EDIT..I see that cruiseracer edited out their previous post after he/she realized they were wrong.   Guess I'll have to hold my breath to be educated about the political stance of Princess.

I'm happy to clear this up for you. ANY cruiseline company can implement ANY requirement they choose, regardless of race, location, planet... At that point; it becomes my choice to purchase or not. Is that clear enough for you?

For grins, I checked on the requirements for the Princess UK cruises that will start in the near future. Vaccines are required. Apparently no exemptions for any reason. I like the rationale for why they are requiring vaccines for passengers:

Are your Summer Seacation voyages only available to vaccinated guests?
Yes - Given the advanced progress of the UK vaccination programme, and strong expressed preference on the part of our guests for this limited series of UK cruises, these sailings on Regal and Sky Princess will be for UK resident Covid-19 vaccinated guests only.

For these cruises the definition of “vaccinated” is a minimum of seven days following the second dose of the currently approved Covid-19 vaccines being administered. Proof of vaccination and the dates given will be required (approved forms of evidence will be confirmed closer to time of departure) and this will be required to be shown at the terminal prior to boarding. Failure to provide this evidence will result in denial of boarding. There is no age restriction on this series of UK coastal cruises but all guests of all ages must meet the requirements of the Princess Covid-19 vaccination policy.

    1. Are there any guidelines for seeing the sights ashore?
For the time being, you will only be able to go ashore on shore excursions that are researched and organized by Princess Cruises. Port transfer and shore experience operators will be subject to new policies and procedures to reflect the latest approved guidance in line with our on-board protocols, and will comply with all local guidance relating to social distancing and face masks.

And I choose not to cruise on Princess UK cruises. See how easy that is?

Agenda or what someone believes. If it's your belief, I'm not sure agenda is the right word.

    God will protect me

Or my wife (who has major health issues) has not reacted well to vaccines in the past, we woildnt get it. I tried, my last words were maybe get a doctor to give you a 2nd opinion, and I refused to discuss it further.

My experience is you cant change anyones mind. Doesnt matter what you say. I dont think the word agenda is completely right or fair. People have their own reasons.

Always trust in God. Agenda may not be the correct word here, not sure. Will give it more thought. All the best to wifey... Same here - unrelated health issues to covid should not effect a desire or decision to cruise. It doesn't matter to me if others wear masks or astronaut suits, get vaccinated or impregnated - it is their complete decision.

I would agree to an extent.  But it is clear that Carnival Cruises is not going to mandate them.  Christine Duffy was out last week saying just that.  We'll see what happens with the others.  What all of the cruise lines do will in fact impact the others if things go sideways.  I firmly believe that CCL, RCL and MSC are waiting for the CDC to wiggle the mandate into the restart approvals.  Not the most courageous approach from my perspective, but it may be a wash in the end.

    Another well stated fact.

My wife and I are young (late 30s) and also very healthy. We agreed that we have no interest in getting vaccinated. It's not a political thing for us, nor are we "antivaxers". We are loyal to Carnival, and have two booked cruises coming up. No judgement for those who want to get vaccinated, but seriously hope that Carnival does not require them. If they do, they will be losing a lot of customers from Texas and Florida.

Here in Dallas, masks are only recommended when going out to restaurants and bars, they're rarely required. Life is essentially back to normal, and it's lovely.

    Well stated.
