  1. I have onboard credit and want to take a couple of tours which cost money. How do I book these using my credit?
  2. I am sailing from Miami to Barcelona on Regent. Can anyone tell me what hotels Regent uses in both cities? Also, I will be traveling solo, do they charge the double price for hotels—or is there a single charge? Thanks for your help with this. Mom C

  4. Thank you forbtaking the time to share these pictures. I sail in November and chose this cruise because of the new ship. Looks like there is much to love! I’ll drink to that!🥂🍸
  5. Just talked to my daughter. They are all OK but very shaken up since both a gun and a knife were brandished at them in order to get I phones, purses, etc. Considering how it turned out, they realize they were fortunate not to be physically hurt. Seabourn handled the bad situation very well, getting them to a safe place (a museum) as soon as the thieves left. From there they were escorted back to the ship where they were greeted by the captain and other officers and staff. The police took statements on board to document the robbery. Just a reminder that traveling anywhere in the world comes with certain dangers that are unavoidable. Thank God they were on an official ship excursion. They have done some private tours while on this cruise.
  6. I need help from anyone on the part of the world cruise in Africa. I just heard from my daughter that her tour group was robbed at gun and knife point somewhere in Africa today. Phones, passports, etc. stolen. I am traveling and her itinerary is in my suitcase somewhere between Amsterdam and the US. More information PLEASE??? Worried Mother!!
  7. Any idea what time new passengers start embarking? I really have no desire to arrive with 50 others and stand in line for everything. We might just take a cab.
  8. We are staying at the O hotel the night prior to boarding the ship in Miami. From you’re experience, what time do those from the hotel normally board! Thanks for your wisdom!
  9. I have been a cruise critic member for 20 years. I used to have no trouble searching for topics and questions dealing with them. Well, not anymore. I lost that ability a couple of years ago when something changed—but I don’t know what. Please help me! If I wanted to look up something like “dining options” that has been asked and answered in the past, how do I do that? Please tell me the steps to complete in order to do that. Thanks in advance. The people here, and their experience, is invaluable! Mom C
  10. Basir My words exactly! Trip of a lifetime!
  11. Having done Antarctica on Seabourn, I would NEVER settle for just sailing by Antarctica. Being on the ice is the closest thing to being on another planet. In other words, out of this world. Loved all the penguins and seals—and even a whole day of whales entertaining us, BUT the highlight was the daily time on the ice. I think every person who has gotten to get off the ship, has taken the rubber rafts by the ice bergs, around the icebergs, and finally stepping onto the ice, would agree. IMHO, it’s like a partial Panama Canal transit vs a complete one—only 100 times more impactful. Hope this helps.
  12. This is our first time to use the cruise line’s hotel package. We have always done it on our own, BUT my husband is 90 and needs my help so I will pay to have someone else take care of the details. We have reached that point in our cruising where the ship is our destination and we don’t even get off. If we were sailing in any other part of the world but the Caribbean where we have been to maybe 25 times, and if we were still able to snorkel and swim in the ocean, we would get off. Heck, I am happy to just eat and drink and play trivia, sleep late and get breakfast in bed.😄
  13. We are not usingOceania’s air, but are using their hotel package. I’m sure it includes transfers from the hotel to the ship, but will it provide transfers for us from the airport to the hotel?
  14. Just wondering how noisy, if any, the continental suites are which are right beneath the pool deck. On other ships, that is a location where you hear chairs and tables being moved. For those who have had a cabin on that deck, is it bothersome?? Thank you! Mom C
  15. Is anyone familiar with the hotels Azamara uses for their precruise passengers in Miami? If so, what are your thoughts about them? I like to stay where the cruise line puts their passengers because there is usually someone in the lobby with information, however, the cost is double what I can book myself. Transfers and breakfast factor into that decision though. Thanks for your input. Mom C
  16. We are booked in a CC suite in January. I noticed you have a great mid ship location. I am worried about noise from the pool deck above. I am very sensitive to the noise of tables and chairs being moved about —the scraping. What is your observation about noise from above? Also, when did you make your specialty dining reservations? Thanks! Mom C
  17. I’m confused! I thought tips were NOT included and I planned on using my OBC. Could someone who has recently sailed with Azamara give me a definitive answer on both?? Thanks!
  18. We are sailing on the AMAwaterways tulip cruise next April. We are trying to book our return flights out of Amsterdam the day of disembarkation. What time can we leave the ship? How long does it take to get to the airport? What time is it safe to book our return flight? Thanks for your help. Mom C
  19. This will be our second cruise on Azamara. The last time was prior to Covid. We are staying in a suite so our specialty restaurants are complimentary, BUT can we make reservations ahead of time? If so, how far out and on what site? I never used to book them for the first night, but sometimes it’s a good thing since that first night things can be chaotic. Also, do you know if the hotels in Miami recommended by (or used by Azamara) have a special rate for passengers? I see they recommend a couple but have not seen any pre-cruise package.
  20. I’m sure this has been asked and answered before, but I can’t figure out how to search any more. It used to be so easy with an opportunity on each cruise lines cruise critic site. Does anyone know the charge for internet for just one device, also multiple devises? We have $800 ship board credit, that has already been eaten up by gratuities and the upgrade to the premium beverage package. Now the internet charge. I am not used to the nickel and diming on cruise ships. Guess that’s why I pay up front on Seabourn and Regent, then get on and always have a $0 balance at the end of the cruise. I am not complaining, just stating a fact. Even with all the additional charges, the Marina transatlantic has the date and itinerary we wanted—and is still less expensive. However, the new post about the Regatta and the number of Covid outbreaks ( and the poor handling by Oceania), has me questioning our decision. We just got off cruises on Regent and it was handled thoroughly, safely, and with outstanding concern for those affected by the virus. Mom C
  21. Try as I might, I can’t find anything about what the drink package contains. I read there are two types of packages with an up-charge for the more upscale package. I am sure that is not what is in the package offered. What Alcohol? Wine at dinner? Drinks by the pool? Drinks ordered in your cabin? Thank you for enlightening me!
  22. We are taking a cruise in a month and have over a $1,000 OBC. Since we have visited the Caribbean islands several times, we won’t be going on any excursions. I am not a big spa person so I need suggestions on how you like to spend your OBC. Any tips? I’m thinking some decadent wine. I welcome your suggestions. Mom C
