Looks like she will be the captain for the entire QV World Voyage. This is a change from an earlier schedule of senior officers I saw. The schedule use to show Philpott.
Don
If I remember, she said she was joining around 26 Jan in South America :-)

what a pity - I had heard alot of positive things about her....
She is totally a wonderful lady. I was lucky to be invited to dine with her and had a great evening and got a hug at the end :-) her q&a session was funny and the cocktail party was great too!!

Hello. Who is your Captain and Entertainment/cruise Director?. We will be on QV 11Dec, would be nice to know if they on the same voyage... Thanks for the updates... Enjoy the rest of your voyage....
Captain Inga is great but this is her last one til January and then she's off in May to Captain QE and Jo (female) is the entertainment director and I believe she's on til jan 2nd and she's off to QE to at sometime. Think this is Jamie's last cruise too before Xmas. I was on QV last week. Had a brill time, and was totally spoilt by what seemed like everyone!!

Back from my first cruise ever!!! It was the best ever holiday. I met so many interesting and fun people. Was on Cunards Queen Victoria 5-17 Nov 13
-
The reason I asked is because we have returned from a cruise on the Queen Victoria visiting Spain and Portugal.
And one of the ports of call was Lisbon.
Had a really Great time here :), plenty to do
but only day to fit it all in.
Wondering thru the shopping area we came across this Street Artist.
You didn't happen to see him while you were there
I didn't see that one but there was another one all in white with a dog. I should have got a picture :-/

Hi Moonraker. Thanks for that update. Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a "U fund"? Regards, -S.
I'm not sure what was meant by U fund, possibly urgent? Sorry

Today received my e tickets for QV on 21 December. My check in time is 15.30! They have got to be joking!
Check you're eticket again as mine originally said that then changed to 13.30 :) you get given a lettered card on arrival and you then check in when the letter is called. It's not too bad in the q, but if you're not good on your legs then it could be a long wait to get through security.

I am so glad you had a wonderful cruise!
It was absolutely fab :-) donations welcome to enable further cruising lol

What places did you visit Moonraker 7 ?, and what was the weather like ?
Visited Madeira, La Palma, Tenerife, lanzagrotty and Lisbon :-) temps were in low 20's in all ports. :-)

How wonderful to hear positive comments. Oh Dear! It sounds like you are suffering from my ailment - Cunarditis.
I think I am lol!!!

Captain Inga said on QV that Cunard had donated 100K (Probably $) There was a U fund set up on last Wednesday and IIRC just after the first day it was launched there was about $400 from passengers in there. Didn't get to hear a final total on SUnday though. One of the Grills Stewards families (Wife and 5 children) that I talked to had lost their home but were all safe, and as I understand it none of the QV crew had lost anyone and everyone had been able to contact loved ones, which was such good news.

Thanks for sharing your positive experience on a Cunard ship. What a great attitude you have. :)
Thank you Whitemarsh...I was a bit apprehensive in the morning and felt physically sick, but as soon as I got to Southampton, the Cunard experience started as soon as I got out of my taxi at the terminal. The baggage porters, a cheery smile, the check in people with lots of smiles and laughter and advice. And then onto the boat...I was in heaven!!!!
THE BEST Ever holiday :D

Glad you had a great time. We are going on QV next month, our 1st. Cunard although we have sailed oooodles of times with other companies....
You will love it. It's up to you to make it a good one ;-) I only met a few stuffy people that had a bit of look down at me, but a big smile and a hello usually did the trick. :D

Well I had an absolute blast. The cruise was amazing :D Really didn't want to get off. Met some absolutely amazing people, both guests and staff. Had my birthday aboard, bit of a downer when my birthday cake (present from my brother) was due to come out as a Code Alpha happened on the table behind. The tablecloths went up around the table so I was moved over so the waiters could sing Happy Birthday. However the lady stayed in the medical centre overnight but was back a couple of days later. So that was good news.
I was lucky enough to dine with the Captain Inga and what an absolutely lovely lady she is and a fab sense of humour :) I also was very lucky to be invited onto the F&B Managers table too during the cruise. I felt like a Princess. My stateroom steward Ricardo was fab too. So many memories. I am going to have to save p really hard as I now have the cruising bug!!!!
Thank you to everyone that I met and had a natter with, you all made my holiday. Also to those that I spent lots of time with...friends for life :)

Just got back off QV today and there was a guest talent show in the Queens Room at about 2.15 - 3.15 yesterday. About 6 acts all together. Sign up and practice was in the Chart Room from 10.15am. Not sure about Karaoke though. Enjoy your cruise. It was my first time and I had a blast.
