We are on the last med and transatlantic cruise. Even tho we've gotten some info it will be nice to hear from the cruisers. The yes and no about everything. I'm sure the first people on the inaugural cruise will flood us with remarks ASAP.

Here is the link to the app:

Thanks for the link. Downloaded now.

This is good to hear about shore bee. We like doing places on our own but like easy transportation option. I did see that they provided round trip transfer from the port of Naples to Pompeii. I think that's what I will schedule.

I've got a front facing cabin on the Vista for 23 days. I hope I'm going to love it. Hoping for mostly smooth sailing.

We got a great price using 1800flyeurope(dot) com. I hope I can say that. One way to Athens from Detroit.

I Made reservations for my daughter and hubby who are on the Conquest this week. She emailed me the next morning and said it was the best thing they had ever done on a cruise. Makes me happy.

On our cruise to Europe I took stock in all I heard from travelers with more experience that I had. My daughter told me about a wrist wallet she used for walking. I found them on line and felt better about carrying things in that. It looks like a cuff that I'd tuck in my sleeves. Someone would have to wrestle me to the ground to get it off. 😄

Ready to book it. Doing the Vista b2b in October. We booked the Vista the first minute our pvp could get the information in. Would love to see it do a different route tho.

While in that port 2013 we used the carnival shuttle to town. Then we did take the little train up to Notre Dame Delagarde. We were able to stay at the bascillica as long as we liked. We are not much I to using public transportation (local bus) in ports. The shuttle bus parked where the train started.

We will be stopping in Bermuda for 1 1/2 days when the Vista comes to New York in November. One place we've never been to. So much to see. I'm watching the posts for ideas.

I've written about the Vista on my travel blog! I hope to add to it daily for the next two weeks to give information about all the ports and also about the ship!
I'd love it if you'd follow :)
I will be watching for your comments while cruising on the Vista. Hubby and I are on the last med and the transatlantic cruise. It's crazy to think we booked a cruise the moment it could be booked on a ship that hadn't even begun to be built. Can't wait for you to begin. Just give us everything you've got. Good sailing to you.

Do you have a check in time to board the ship. With the new designated boarding times my understanding is you will not be allowed to enter the terminal to wait. If the weather is bad I don't think that would change the boarding time restrictions. Just a thought. I think Miami is one of the ports that have time slots. I'm sure someone will chime in on that. Have fun.

The laundry areas also have an iron and ironing board

There are several jewelry stores in the port building itself. I would expect it to be more exspensive. But, doesn't hurt to look

What about a driver? We have a private driver taking us to Rome for a day. The site suggests a tip. It will just be hubby and I with the driver. Thanks for input.

We were on a ship for Easter no service, but we had our own little prayer and remembrance on our balcony. We didn't feel we had to be with a group. What would the difference be if you had the CD do one or you and spouse did it. We did it at sunrise.

When taking all that little stuff I like to use plastic shoe boxes to pack it in. I have one for toothbrushes, deodorant ... Daily health
and beauty items. After we use it it's stored away. For what I call the junk drawer items, tape, scissors, magnets... I use another plastic shoebox. I pack clothes in the packing cubes so when we get there unpacking is a breeze.

We too stayed at the Santa Chiara. It was so close to walk to? We took the bus from the airport. When we arrived in Venice the hotel was across the parking lot. It is situated near a stop. This was the view out of our window. There is a grocery store down the walkway near the vapoertto stop where we purchased cheese and bread for a small lunch out. The hotel had a substantial breakfast buffet.

We did b2b on the Sunshine from Venice to Barcelona. Barcelona to New Orleans 2013. Doing Vista October from Athens to Barcelona, Barcelona to New York 2016. I like only flying one way.
-
We are doing the med cruise prior to the transatlantic with 10 packed days of tours. The transatlantic sea days get you into the relax mode. We did the Sunshine cruise like this and find we are addicted.

Used the door organizer once. Then I started using a plastic shoe container, $ 1.00'from the dollar store. Packed the items I need in it. Like small stuff, nail polish toothpaste, comb brush, etc. one for me one for hubby. Then when we unpack put it on the shelf under the sink.perfect. Use it then close it up and put back below the sink. I'm a bathroom neatnik. Nothing on counters.

Another choice is the deli station

They also show kid movies in the cabin on a station they provide
