Choice of cabin cleaning and turn down service. Morning, night or both. It's still in trial stage but my cruise 3 weeks ago on the Splendor our cabin steward asked. No chocolates on the pillow.

We did our first b2b in 2013 flying to Venice and ending in New Orleans on the Sunshine. I'm not a fan of long flights but managed it knowing we'd be doing it one way. 28 days on the ship. We will be doing it again with the Vista. 23 days on the ship this time. It does take lots of saving and planning but that's the fun of it.

Have done 111 days on carnival. Never ever saw a fight nor anyone falling over drunk. I know it happens but just saying...

Only at 111 days. Just came back from a cruise on the Splendor, now 367 days away from 10 day med and transatlantic on the Vista next October. I can see diamond in the distance. [emoji41]

On our 1st cruise in 2000 we had the vision of the love boat. Changes of clothes all day long. Took 4 suitcases for 7 days.

We went into Miami a day early. Was getting ready to go to dinner and told hubby to take out a pair of casual slacks. After searching 4 suitcases and sweating the whole time looking for theses slacks. No slacks. I told my husband how could it be, I had all the clothes to pack hanging on a rack on the front of the bedroom door. Then he asked, " you did get those clothes hanging behind the door didn't you"? NOPE, never knew they were there. Good thing we were in the day before the cruise so we could shop. Other than that all these years later we pack lighter.

Splendor, last week the journals and pen

A little FYI. Your family member didn't need to run down to guest services. I don't think people notice the house phones that are put in hallways. You can call rooms or guest services...

We're leaving on Sunday. I just can't believe people get their shorts in a bunch over card colors. I know in my life I've got a few things more important than that. [emoji4]

Yes we are leaving on the Splendor Sunday from New York. Hoping for a clear night. Heard maybe chance of rain so we really are hoping to be out in the waters darkness to see this. Have to check my camera settings to try and get this picture

Ask for a comforter they usually make the beds up with. Put under the sheets. Egg crate mattresses are hard to come by on the ship.

Doing Splendor out of New York next week. Really had never considered this port. Flew last year for a cruise but this time we are going to drive 9.5 hrs. This may be our new port of choice. We loved the Sunshine so this might be a better choice than flying to Miami for cruises. Definitely not winter tho.

Well it isn't for everyone, so there is YTD. That makes more room for those of us who enjoy the little bit of entertainment. Id be more worried about the people coughing and not hand washing all over the ship instead of a few crumbs.

I agree. Just take the elevators that put you coming into the eating area. You'll avoid the aft pool area which is wet and the lido pool area if you use back or middle elevators. Enjoy

We've done the carnival excursion, St. John's trunk bay snorkel trip twice. Bought the excursion for two other family's when they finally booked a cruise and I will do it again. Great beach, water. Nice little park.

There's usually a phone extension to make a reservation too.

We bring a can of cashews for a little salt other than the sea breeze. If your snacks are factory packaged pack away.

Our kids just gifted us with a 7 day cruise on the splendor for our 50th Anniversary. We will be doing a New England/ Canada trip. We cruised the Splendor last October to San Juan and didn't notice any difference from any of their other ships. Happy people all over. The one thing I did love was that they could close the roof over the pool if weather was iffy. Enjoy, you'll be cruising.

One thing I've learned after losing a camera. On all my cameras, mini iPad I take a picture of my name and phone # so it's recorded if someone turns on the camera. Luckily my list camera was found and faith in human nature confirmed. Hope you recover it.

I've used the command strips. They come off easy, no residue

What a great review. We just this afternoon received a 50th Anniversary gift from our daughter our son in law and the kids. A 7 day to Canada/ New England end of Sept. It was such a surprise as we are counting down 430 days to the Carnival Vista. Your review has given me a lot of info.

we were looking at about 440 days to the Vista Cruise. Today our daughter and son-in-law and kids surprised us with a 7 day cruise to Canada for our 50 th wedding anniversary. What a surprise. Now we are looking at 50 days. September 27th. OH HAPPY DAY

Located near the elevators, art gallery. Above on deck 3 shore excursion desk. No noticeable noise.

The room has large sofa and seemed to have a lot of floor space due to the shape of the ships body.

I would recommend this room.
