We are a family of 7, myself, DH, our 15 month wittle baby girl,😊, my brother, his wife, and our mom and dad. We have only cruised on Royal Caribbean before and are excited to experience another cruise line.

Sailing out of FLL on the Ruby bound for Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Roatan, and Princess Cays. Woo hoo!!! 😃

Excited to read more about your journey Shogun! We are on the Ruby in just under one month. After reading comments I am really nervous about the ATD! Does anyone have any suggestions as to when we should go? We will have our 15 month old and there is no way she could wait that long. Do you think before 6 there would be a better chance of getting in right away? When we get to the ship what do you think the likelihood of switching to the early dinner in the MDR would be?

I was wanting to see some of the sights, butterfly garden with my then 2 year old, and buchart gardens, they close at 10. Wish more time could be spent there during the day. Obviously I know there is nightlife in the city, my two year old won't really be able to appreciate that we won't either as we will be going where she goes.

Looking at an Alaska cruise in June. Itinerary says Victoria 7pm to midnight. Wouldn't most things be closed the majority of the time there?

Plan is to eat lunch in the dining room.

We are doing anytime dining. Should we make our reservations once we board? Could we do this while eating lunch in the MDR? Can we make the same reservation time for the entire week on that first day? Getting so excited, only 32 days to go!

My mom saw somewhere that our rooms, Riviera deck, don't board until 1:30. Is this true? I was really wanting to board early enough to be able to go to the MDR for lunch, not the buffet. Thoughts?

Yes weedpindle, it is good to just go with the flow and enjoy your vacation, as we do, but sometimes when one is trying to coordinate times with multiple parties who are on the cruise and who are staying on the island it is necessary to know what time to go by.

I think we have decided on a beach day, 7 mile beach. Which place on 7MB would you suggest? I read Royal Palms wasn't super kid friendly, so not excited about that. What about Sea Grape/Calico Jack's? We would like an area that isn't too crowded and the wee one has room to play on the sand.

It will be our first time in GC, would you suggest the turtle farm or 7 mile beach? Our party is 6 adults and a 15 month old. The baby does love animals so she may be interested in the turtle farm...? however she wouldn't know if she was missing anything if we just did a beach day. Any advice is much appreciated!

I think I have seen on this board before that princess will provide a crib or pack n play? Has anyone done this before? I was intending on bringing my daughter's portable crib, but would love if I didn't have to. If you have done this before were the cribs in good condition? Clean? Did you bring your own sheet?
