Kinkacruiser - how do you save cruises you are hoping to go on in my princess?
-
Thank you Pam and gunner! :-)
-
When does princess typically start to discount their prices? I know we can't talk TAs here but everywhere I have looked everyone still has the prices that are listed on the princess site.
-
We are getting ready to book our 2014 Christmas cruise out of Houston. When doing a ghost booking on princess it is showing that an interior that has a 4 person occupancy, beds can only be set up as the twin configuration? Even if it is mom, dad, and two small kids? Can the main beds not be set up as a queen?
Thank you!

Keep seeing people refer to it... What does it include? Do they offer it on every cruise? Does it cost $?
Thank you!
Alyssa :-)

Haven't cruised Princess before. With RCCL only $250 is due to hold your cruise and the rest is due I think 3 months before...? Anyways what is the payment schedule for Princess?
-
I can't seem to find princess recommended hotels or the ones with a shuttle to the port in or around San Pedro. Thank you for the help!
-
Yes, daunting and a learning curve! :-) we have done 7 cruises before, but with a little one in tow we are expecting a whole new ball game! Again, thank you so much!
-
Runnerrod thank you for posting the pic! You have been extremely helpful!!!
-
Thank you sknight for finding those rooms! I will call princess! :-)
-
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for all of the information and tips! Anything else you can think of would be much appreciated as well! Would love to see the photos you were talking about if it isn't too much trouble.
Thank you!

We will be taking our then 16 month old on a cruise next Christmas, Emerald out of Houston. Any answers to the following are much appreciated. We already know she will be too young to participate in the youth program, we are ok with that! :-)
1. Since we will be bringing her portable crib (yes I know we could get one from princess, ours folds to carry on size to take to the beach too) do we have to stay in a cabin that has a 3rd bed? We would like to stay in a balcony on the caribe level (bigger balcony), but when I go to book and state 3 people it doesn't give the deck 10 option to book, thinking this is because none of those cabins have Pullman/Murphy beds?
2. What is the price for a 3rd person in a cabin? Is it the same no matter what type of cabin or is it a percentage of the price for the first/second passenger price in a particular class?
3. Any been there done that helpful hints and tips of taking a toddler would be appreciated as well.
Thank you! :-)

I am also concerned about fog in and out of this port during the holiday season... Should I book a holiday cruise out of FLL instead?
-
All of the cruises we are looking at are 7 days around xmas, both the ruby and emerald have 7-day itineraries. My concern is the delays in and out of the Houston port.
-
Ok then I guess my main concern would be if we should worry about ships being delayed in/out of Houston. Thoughts?
-
Seeing that the ship(s) going out of Houston are being delayed by fog... Definitely don't want to worry about this going on our vacation, a big group, and most of us don't have a lot of flexibility in our work schedules. We wanted a Christmas cruise and unfortunately the ruby itinerary we like is the one that goes to the caymans... Princess probably wouldn't change the itinerary for us, right? :-)
-
Looking on the princess site it looks like the ruby was last refurbished December 2011... Is it scheduled for a refurbishing or is it still in pretty good shape?
Trying to decide on a cruise for next December between the emerald out of Houston or the ruby out of Fort Lauderdale. Thoughts please! :-)

Thank you Pam, alway so helpful! :-)

Are the even numbered rooms always on the port side?
-
FreQuentKruser thank you so much for your comparison of princess and RCI. My family and I have been on 7 RCI cruises over the last 7 years and have noticed the decline in the "little things" as well, one of the reasons we are wanting to try Princess. Thank you, thank you! :-)
-
Thank you all! Are the caribe balconies typically more expensive since they are bigger?
-
I have the same question.
-
Wow SATXDIVER!!! Thank you, helps a lot. :-)
-
When I say family all of us (10) are age 25+ except a 7 year old, 20 month, and 15 month old. The minis will be with their parents the whole time, I know princess doesn't offer much to kids under 3.
Sale prices?
