Playing Silversea games.  Just like Silversea did when they added excursions.  Nothing more than D to D.  Blacklane if you do not want the home transfers gets you the $250pp less on the fare.  They already created last year the separate cruise fare (without air and transfers) - without the fine print for air credit

Just show some pity to  @Mike Moore and his team who to have to implement this change. 🙂

No pity required for me @PaulMCO as I’m actually no longer with the company.

Mike, thank you so much for your help relating to excursions on Grand Cayman , January 2024, Grandeur, on my first ever cruise. The descriptions were rewritten and I was able to book the correct excursion. We thoroughly enjoyed our swim with the stingrays, thank you for making it happen.

I wish you well in the future.

Glad to hear that, and thank you for the well wishes!

Add me to this mess! I have been rejected 12 times thus far and the last rejection, today, asked for the financial document which WAS APPROVED on an earlier rejectione mail!! Go figure.

I am booked on the 12 Jan 2024 cruise, Cape Town to Rio.

I realize that Brazil is giving a "slap" geopolitically to us and Japan and UK, but Regent's response has been non-extistent--only an apology to my TA. My TA is angry and his Scottsdale clients will be probably wholly informed of Regent's lackluster interventions (uh, non-interventions).

Why would Regent worry? They will have all of our final deposits unconditionally, with no opportunity for a refund--some travel insurance may cover, but most don't.

    Disgusted in Tucson...

Quick update for everyone following this closely - we were just notified from the Brazilian government that they have postponed the date the eVisa goes into effect to April 10th, so for any of you on a sailing between now and then, you can rest easy as the eVisa is no longer necessary!

  5. Greetings all - wanted to share the below for guests in the US, Canada and Australia that are experiencing issues with the process for applying for an e-Visa with Brazil. The first file below outlines what an acceptable photo looks like, and the second file may be uploaded to the application website in lieu of sending the banking documents.

Further, if you have begun the application process and have been issued an application number, please provide Regent with that application number by sending it along with your full name and reservation number to RSSCOps@rssc.com as soon as possible.

I'm afraid that is the extent of my knowledge on the subject, so if you have any further questions or need assistance, please reach out to our call center in your country. Thank you all, and Happy New Year!

Mike.. I still can’t see it. I’ve logged out of my account.

This is for a cruise January 2025. Am I too early to see the PDF. The excursions become available for this cruise on 4th Jan 2024.

I  will be cruising on Regent on 4th Jan 2024 so  I thought I’d get prepared with my choices to be able to do my excursion booking as soon as it opens.

The link will appear as soon as shore excursions are built for those specific days in port. That generally happens about 365 days prior to the cruise, but from time-to-time it can be a little later.

Onboard Grandeur now....downloaded the app...tells me to "connect to ship's wifi" (which I already AM) and can get nowhere from there.....guess I will gave to visit internet guy this morning.   🙄

Yes - please do that. This cruise is the first one where the app could be tested at full-scale, so appreciate your patience as whatever bugs are ironed out.

  8. Hi Eno-Bob - thank you for reaching out. The functionality vaires on a couple of different factors, but you are correct in most of your assumptions. There are two different "back-to-back" cruises as far as our reservations systems is concerned. Those that are published (such as the Grand Asia Exploration) and those that are created by individual guests, combining two (or more) regular voyages into a custom, longer sailing - such as you have done.

For the latter, unfortunately the message that the reservatins system relays to the website is that there simply is no availability on the latter cruises' tours, which the website interprets as them being sold out. Each cruise has its own block of inventory for the tours, so I can assure you that it is not that the latter cruise's tours are all sold out, they simply aren't available yet to anyone on anything other than the Grand Asia Exploration.

I certainly agree that the message is confusing and not accurate, and as we look to redesign this portion of the website next year, we'll do our best to come up with a way to isolate this scenario and provide a custom message.

  9. For the sake of clarity and to pull the curtain back a little - the boarding times available to choose from are setup based on a certain number of guests arriving during each block of time, to keep the boarding time as short as possible. If the time block fills up, it becomes unavailable in Online Check-in.

If you arrive at the ship during a time outside of your boarding time, we will of course welcome you on (so long as it isn't too late) - there is just an increased risk that if too many guests do the same, everyone arriving at that time may start their cruise waiting in a bit longer line. But there is an actual reason why we do what we do. 🙂
