  1. I would have been interested in 23/11/17 14 nights Ovation Singapore to Sydney, but the itinerary is terrible. No Asian ports at all, just straight to Fremantle, Adelaide, Hobart, Sydney. Would anyone be interested in that? I love sea days, but ..

I was looking at that itinerary too, and Im having doubts booking that cruise. The price isn't that appealing either.

I guess i have to go for the radiance or the Dec 7 Ovation then:(

  2. I spent over an hour on hold waiting to get the price adjustment. The price is still 20 - 25% more than I thought we'd have to pay. Let's hope a good sale comes up in the next 21 months! :D

Free gratuities sure would have been nice on a cruise this long.

I just checked the Explorer 22 April cruise and there is indeed Free Grats. I wondered as well because Ovation 23rd Nov is also re-positioning cruise and it had free Grats.

  3. Ovation of the Seas is using Radiance of the Seas bookings at OPT in Sydney for the extra cruises in Jan/Feb17.

Radiance cannot dock at the other terminal in Sydney because she will not fit under the bridge.

Royal claim on Facebook that Radiance will use OPT.

Royal has been getting abused on social media about not being honest what is happening.

This might sound weird but any chance Radiance could do a tender while anchored in the Harbour? I don't know how that works, and to be honest the chance is very remote for it to happen and very tedious i suppose

  4. Apparently Cruise Critic has better information than RCL or Cruise Cal.

    Heres the link: http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=6958

    New Ports and New Itineraries.

If anyone is looking for the Repositioning on the Ovation From Singapore to Sydney which I'm, here is the itinerary. It is a 14 Night cruise from Singapore leavign 23rd November.

    Singapore> Perth>Adelaide>Hobart> Sydney.

Bookings open Thursday! For C& A Members??> don't count on it.

  5. I think there is a market for Disney in Asia, because its one of the unique kind of experiences which is different than being in a park. I for one will be paying to get onboard a DCL ship if it arrives in Asia. The atmosphere, experience. on board is just different from all the rest of the cruise lines.

Maybe it could alternate between Australia and Asia, and who knows one of their new ships could be going to Asia too. If there is a strong market in Asia, and cruise lines are building new ships for Asia, there is no reason why Disney wouldn't want to jump on the bandwagon as well.

  6. If any port calendar watchers out there have a chance to dig around, I'm watching for a 2018 relo from Oz to Hong Kong, similar to what Legend's doing in spring 2017. If you see anything, I'd appreciate your posting. THANKS!

The Voyager and the Ovation are usually the ones that reposition during that time. However, you have to do a b2b cruise as they do a turnover in Singapore before moving on to China.

Other than that, with the loss of the legend going back to the Americas, i can hardly see any ships that will go straight from OZ to Hong Kong without skipping Singapore. Unfortunate really, the legend leaving so soon.

  7. Yes its possible to win. When i go to the casino, I play with an open mind, and acceptable to loosing all that i have budgeted for the games.

On the first afternoon, I played the machines, playing only 25p per game, and i won over USD 400. On that same night, I played the same game again winning another USD 100 with only 25p.

And like what the other poster said, I never really entered the Casino after that, except to watch people play.

On our recent cruise, someone actually won the USD 20K jackpot (the one that you had to match the numbers too) The lady obviously shocked was help out her husband who told her to calm down.

Do you think they increase the chances on the first night of the cruise so people will keep coming back knowing they could win some money?

  8. Does anybody know where Mariner is going after 27th March? I am mostly interested if she is doing one round trip from Singapore on 27th or is that the date for the repo?

Kai Tak cruise terminal in Hong Kong has her on the 10 of April and is a transit so therefore, either she is going for a week long dry dock first or she is going straight for Shanghai. And doing a cruise from there. But the best bet is that she is going for a dry dock first.

  9. We have just returned from a fantastic South Pacific cruise on Voyager of the Seas. Here are the all important pictures of our Panoramic Oceanview Cabin #1852 as promised.

Highly recommend these cabins if you can snare one. While there is some noticeable movement when there is a bit of a swell, nothing too untoward and we found the gentle rocking quite relaxing. The close proximity to the adults only pool, spa and gym was also a great advantage.

These cabins also have plenty of storage and room to move about. On a side note, the muster station for these cabins is the Star Lounge on deck 5, so you don't even have to stand outside when doing the muster drill.:D

Thank You! Thank You! Thank you! Glad that you enjoyed your cruise!

I've been waiting for the pictures for this room for quite a long while now so I appreciate your review of the cabin. I was worried about the obstruction of the antenna in front and luckily it isn't too much of an obstruction to bother.

  10. Just a round about way of doing things ,here's how it looks to me online OBC on the fight and free grats on the left 97818a333b0ca5cddb7b61b482f769f4.jpg

Do you tick the box or Do you not tick the box? Because if i tick the box, the price changes at the final amount and its higher than if I leave the box alone. I'm confused.. Sry if this question has already been asked

  11. Sorry if this has been asked - I know Ovation is supposed to home port in China / Australia

It seems like the RCCL website only has through late 2016 - has anybody seen / heard anything about summer 2017??

According to RCL, the itinerary for Australia will released later in April, probably a week or two from now. But we know how RCL is with itineraries, never really getting them out on time. However I'm believing that this April they will finally released it.

I can´t see nothing compared to Felicia on the Quantum, see here

The brown structure is the rock climbing wall. The animal must be to the right of it but prior to the first structure on the top level of the Seaplex.

    steamboats

Yeah you are right..My bad... thought that thing looked like an animal that has 2 hands. Ooops. Maybe they will put it on the last day before she is due to leave for her first port. Keeping the animal a surprise i belive

  13. Anyone having trouble booking the 2018 cruises that Cunard has to offer? On their website, it seems that the 2018 cruises are all sold out. It can't really be that popular right that is currently sold out 2 years ahead.

  14. One of the Oasis will head for China, the other will go to Europe.

One of the Quantum class ship will go to Europe, the other probably the Caribbean, but then you have Allure, Harmony and the Quantum. And if Oasis does not head to China....So if the sales are good for the Caribbean, then by all means RCL will be happy to put them there.

The Oasis Itineraries are quite common and there are not many ports she will and can go in the carribean. If the itineraries you see this year, they are probably going to repeat it next year.

Quantum Class hopefully, you could see more of the Southern Caribbean from FLL and not from New York.

  15. Trying to understand "upstairs". Is the Music Hall two decks high?

Yup, on the Anthem, the music hall is 2 decks high. Check the video out below.

I read through the deck plan on RCL webisite from 15-Dec-2016 to 23-Jan-2017 and noticed the music hall is on deck 3 and 4. Deck 4 is beside the golden Room/ Diamond lounge. So there is a chance there is still there until 2017, but i really hope it stays permanently. But they may use the 2nd floor as the added casino and leave the music hall only on deck 3. However, this present a problem for those who want to listen to music and right above their heads, there is a casino going on.
