  1. What anyone thinks or what their opinion is has no bearing on what people can or cannot wear. All that matters is what the published policy is. End of story.
  2. Or maybe I should have said corned beef. An appropriate day for it.
  3. Looks like pastrami to me
  4. Yes, all talk of shuttle to St Augustine has disappeared. The asst CD might have jumped the gun or been mistaken about that announcement. I hear a lot of grumbling. My eggs Benedict were great the day I had them in the GDR, but maybe I don’t know any better. Actually all of my food has been excellent.
  5. We were told that there would be a free shuttle to St Augustine. Don’t know details.
  6. We’ll we’ve made Nassau so far, everything else has been a sea day. Fortunately I like transatlantics and sea days, so I’m ok. I’m just here for the food and drinks. To Ken, yes it’s so slow with the internet, pictures are difficult. Much easier on the phone with 5G.
  7. You hold your card up to the WiFi symbol on the slot machine, it pulls up your account and you select the money symbol. From there you follow the prompts. They actually have some new current slots in now. Today we are at Great Stirrup Cay, which was a substitute port for missing Bermuda. Captain came on PA a little bit ago and announced that the shore tender manager says it’s too dangerous to tender. So we won’t be doing this today. Captain is awaiting instructions from the home office to decide what happens next. I’m sure Oceania is not making any new first time converts.
  8. One new thing I see is that the boutique is now selling pre loved high end purses, LV, etc. They looked brand new.
  9. For you roulette wheel guys. The $25 is only for the slots.
  10. Dinner in La Reserve last night was great. La Bourgeoisie, which might be the largest amount of food of any of the four dinners we’ve had in La Reserve. I didn’t take pictures or notes as I don’t do that, all the wine was French and good in my limited estimation. We enjoyed the company of two lovely couples. The dinner was excellent. There were 3 tables of 6. I’m certainly glad I packed a Sport coat as all the men there were wearing them. I apologize for missing the meet and greet as we got tied up doing some other stuff after trivia. I did mean to make it.
  11. Here is what is being offered. Made in Jacksonville. Candy factory, chocolate factory and shopping. $159 amelia island historical tour $189 St Augustine Historical tour $189 st Augustine on your own $129 I also understand that there will be a free shuttle to St Augustine. I don’t know details on that. Not sure why any would pay $129 to take the on your own tour when they’re offering a free shuttle. Maybe it’s guaranteed and exclusive and the free shuttle is first come first served. I have no idea where we will dock.
  12. I haven’t been there this trip. We go to La Reserve tonight. Got to see an updated PH today, they are beautiful. Lots of subtle changes around the ship. To catch them you would need to be familiar with what it was like before. One new thing is they offer $25 free play to everyone in the casino now.
  13. We had dinner last night in Toscano, I had lasagna app and Osso bocco for a main. Enjoyed the company of a nice table of 6. The food was just as superb as it’s been in the past. Great service all around. No issues here. It was also the captain’s party and drinks were flowing pre dinner. Breakfast this morning was pecan pancake and fruit. Once again excellent food and service. I’ll let you know if there’s any bobbles. On the new updates of the state room, the wood trim wainscoting is a wonderful touch visually for us. Much better than plain walls. I probably won’t post any more pictures until we get back to a port with cell phone service. We have two sea days then Great stirrup cay. After that I think Jacksonville. Some people are upset about the itinerary change, and possibly justifiably so, but I’m not in charge, the Captain and Miami are. I personally am just happy to be on a cruise, but I have been to Bermuda multiple times. I can understand those that booked this for Bermuda being unhappy. More later, trivia calls.
  14. The second Celebrity ship was the Beyond. Not that it really matters. They shoved off a little after 3. We’re leaving at 4.
  15. In your situation I would tip at least 6, or more if you feel like it. We only dropped off 1 checked bag so gave him a couple of bucks. They pick it up from the sidewalk and set it on the rack. Not like they’re loading it in and out of a van like a shuttle driver does.
  16. Yes I was going to point this out in the small print of one of the pictures I posted on the live thread I’m doing. It says not valid with Olife promo, or something to that effect.
  17. Here are the chairs in the Terrace.
  18. Just a quick correction, there are more ships in port now, and the Celebrity ship is Reflection, although I think there might be another Celebrity ship here although I can’t see the name. There is also a MSC ship. Lots of ships for Nassau. 6 I think. Back on the serenity of our ship.
  19. Service at breakfast was great. Food was as it always is, excellent. But we’ve only eaten twice in the Terrace and breakfast in the GDR. I’ll let you know if I notice anything slipping or off. Our room steward is doing an excellent job so far. Captain’s party is tonight.
  20. Here’s some shots around the port area and the pickle ball area and golf thing.
  21. Here’s some random deck shots. Not many people out this morning. I don’t think there’s a lot of people onboard period, I’ll try to find out numbers later.
  22. We are in port with 3 other ships. Carnival Elation, Norwegian Encore and Celebrity Silhouette. Might be packed out on the streets. We’re heading out a little later.
