  1. Oh dear ... sad to say we part company yet again. I'm a Charmin Ultra kind of gal and recently found they now make these rolls not only in double rolls, but "Giant" and finally "Mega" rolls which they even admit will not fit on a standard holder and give you a special attachment to accommodate the size.

Heather, here's one we totally agree one. Charmin Ultra for me too:D

I like the idea of taking with then having more room in the luggage to bringthings you have bought on the cruise home. Some how I doubt DH will go for this idea though:eek: Not unless it gets us a BIG Ship Board Credit.:)

  2. No, that's on Carnival - but they do shape the end into a different flower every night.....

At the Hampton Inns everything from TP to tissues to towels are all accordion pleated:)

I must be really weird growing up ( this came from my Dad) TP paper was to pull out from the bottom and Paper Towels were to roll out from the top. I personally think TP papers tears off easier if pulled off from the bottom.:o

Now you know that pointed thing with the paper on the HAL ships is often a joke with the comedians or in the Debarkation Talk about being able to find the TP paper in the dark:D

It is amazing the topics this board starts talking about but it has made for a humorus thread

    Thanks ekerr :)

  3. This thread was fun, I have to admit this thread did cross my mind a few times last week on the Ryndam:D I could just see everyone bringing on board their chain saws and Blenders. Gee, I actually thoguht I saw some of you fishing off the aft;)

  4. Hey, count me into the 1,000 club too!!! I hit 1000 yesterday or this morning some time. :)

Congrats Ziggy and Heather, I am in fine company!!!:D

Hey, Congratulations to you too localady.

Now you just need to work your way to 2000th

  5. I could try to round up the Cedar Rapids Accordion Aces which was an orchestra of about 24 accordions. They played a mean Tchaikovsky's No. 5 in E minor but then those who can't stand the stuffy classical music they also played songs from the Sound of Music and a few polkas and waltzs. The group has not been together since the very early 1970's but I am sure I could get them together espeicially for free cow meat. ( Yes, I cannot deny it, I was in this orchestra:p ) They were famous, they performed at the World's Fair in Osaka Japan in 1970.

  6. stillfrantic, back on page two orcrone asked ryansmemom to bring the cow in her mattress so we should have fresh beef, then later on I believe revneal gave the suggestion to slaughter the cow in one of the pools that we would drain. but then again since so many want to attend this wonderful cruise you better bring along an extra cow. We might need 3 or 4 more. Someone has already agreed to bring the chain saw for slaughter.

  7. Seriously, Have a Great trip and cruise. How wonderful to be traveling to Harwich. I am sure you will have a wonderful time. We too are looking forward to your review since we will be boarding the Westerdam in March.

    Bon Voyage;)

  8. oh look what hubby just bought me for our going away cruise!

Betchya my new tub will work for the mini spa !!!!

Or if ya need you can do your laundry in it, saves from dirting the pool.

Ya Know if we can't get KK's Distillary up and going we could go around and raid everyones mini bar and use the Tub to make a good batch of Trash Can Punch. Vicar have you been a practicing your Bagpipes?

  9. Can you believe this thread has now hit page 6!!!

I have actually had lots of fun with this even though I am at work. I think it is too "darn" hot to buy a car. Although I am the resident TA and have helped a few employees book a vacation this weekend.

  10. Roadwork, Actually I thought it would help our cardio if we brought my old "Hand Crank Style" It really gives you a work out when the Ice Cream starts to harden. But then again why not bring both we could make 2 flavors at one time. How about some Strawberry Boones Farm flavored Ice Cream?

  11. Did someone say CAKE??? Well. the best thing with cake is HomeMade Ice Cream. I will just have to bring my Ice Cream Maker and several 20 lb bags of Rock Salt. I am sure if we are going to Alaska that we can get a bunch of Ice from Hubbard Glacier. Since we have the Cow for fresh Cream and the chicken for fresh eggs, oh yes I forgot sugar, well that is a job for us women folk we can go to the Lido with our blue plastic Wal Mart bags (I will bring extra) and get all the little packets of sugar. It might take awhile to open up say 3500 little sugar packets but what the heck we have nothing better to do on Sea Days. Oh, one more thing does anyone else have room to bring a keg of Vanilla Extract?

  12. I just noticed at the bottom of the front page of this thread is the thread that KK referred to about someone asking about taking a Blender. That thread only had 3 replies this will shortly hit over 100. I would say the RCL Board is not having near as much fun.

  13. As far as I know there are no fireplaces on the Maasdam. So to be on the safe side I'll take my pizza oven. I'll also bring the dough and sauce, but I'll take the cheese from the buffet. I don't want to have to pack too much.
Orcrone, can I suggest a Toaster Oven, that way you can just make lots of small pizzas that would help those of us on diets. You are inviting all of us to stow away in your cabin aren't you:confused:

I think we need to see how many we can get in one cabin, with the blender, pizza oven, George Forman and his grill, fireplace wood, and a few bagpipes and an accordion. We should add the Partridge in a Pear Tree:eek:

  14. If you like I could bring my accordion along. I play a mean Beer Barrel Polka. Then I will see if I can bring a Keg of good German Beer, you know for the Keggers on the Promenade Deck;)
