  1. We were in Vietnam last year on Celebrity and they arranged the visas for both ports. I think is cost us under $10
  2. We did an X cruise from Singapore ending in Shanghai last Jan/Feb and we just let X take care of the visa. We got the 144 hour visa, we stayed in Shanghai for two nights. However X really didn't know what they were doing with the visas because we would get different paperwork in our cabin and had to keep going to guest relations and requesting the proper visa. I think at the end of our cruise we had the paperwork for every visa they offered.
  3. We boarded our ship in Singapore on Sunday with an overnight and never had a problem. They took all our information and then we proceeded through immigration.
  4. We are flying there on Tuesday for our cruise and are just going to use a taxi. I have read that if you use a taxi from 11pm-6am from the airport there is also a surcharge.
  5. Will be following along as well. We are on the Connie for SE Asia in January with some of the same ports. We are going to be spending 5 days in Singapore before we leave. Our first time to SE Asia but not our first cruise. We are spending a month in Thailand after the cruise and then another 3 weeks in Cambodia, Bali and ending in Hawaii before coming home.
  6. Yes please share the name of the company. We are heading there after our cruise.
  7. We are on the January 20, 2019 on the Connie. Our port before Shanghai is Hong Kong, still good right?
  8. Ok so if I am reading this right we should be ok with the 144 hour visa, arriving in Shanghai after our celebrity cruise then leaving 2 days later travelling to Thailand?
  9. If we are only staying in Shanghai for a couple of days after our cruise would we need to get a visa or would the 144 hour one work. Going in January 2019 and just trying to figure this out. Thanks for any help
  10. I think we had the same captain, and I agree that the outgoing ones makes for a better cruise.
  11. This was our exact thoughts back in January so we booked our next cruise in Asia......
  12. We always get the drink package and hubby doesn't even drink alcohol, but it pays for itself with the specialty coffee and water and pop. Then if we are going on a 7 day cruise we do the OBC and if we are doing a 14 day cruise we do the grats.
