Thanks for this…in the end for our our six night cruise we are doing Murano twice (including the night of our anniversary), Tuscan Grill twice, Le Petit Chef once, and Luminae once. I plan on having lunch at Sushi on 5 at least a couple times. I noticed at some point that the Le Petit Chef menu changes half way through the cruise and the second menu seems better to us - lobster instead of short rib, mainly. I am getting hungry just thinking about these meals!!!

Thanks for the tips! We are in a Royal Suite, so Luminae is an option. We’ve done a couple NCL cruises in the Haven and we’ve found the Haven restaurant to be the best option on the ship, but it sounds from all of the responses that Murano wins for the special occasion on Celebrity. And maybe we’ll book Murano more than once, it’s free!

I appreciate all the responses I got to my question of whether lobster is still being served in Murano on the Equinox (answer seems to be “probably”). As a follow-up, having never sailed Celebrity before, where should we have dinner the night of our 25th wedding anniversary? People seem to generally agree that Luminae is the best restaurant on the ship, but our actual anniversary is night three and the Luminae menu, if the app is accurate, is not very exciting that night. Plus the table side prep of certain dishes just seems to make Murano maybe more of a “special” night out. We’re torn, so we’d like the perspectives of seasoned X passengers. Thanks in advance!!!

You can do that? I do see a generic Murano menu on my app - and it does show the lobster! - but how do you look at specific cruises?

My wife and I are going on our first Celebrity cruise on the Equinox, having cruised 15 or so times on NCL and Princess. We are in the Retreat so we plan to eat most meals in Luminae but we were looking at having dinner in Murano for the tableside lobster. Today I received the pre-cruise email from the Retreat Concierge and the menu for Murano has the lobster removed - you can actually see the blank space where the lobster was listed. Can any recent cruisers confirm this? We'll ask the concierge when we call later this week but I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience. Murano Menu.pdf

That's a good point, and I also think whether you are with a TA or not might somehow play into the upgrade algorithm. But in any case we're booked into a Royal Suite so there's very little Moving Up we can really do. 😀

Yeah, I think this is my feeling as well after reading all the comments - I don't want to rock the boat when I'm already happy with what I've got. And TBH an extra $300 OBC might just end up being a challenge to spend on top of all the other OBC, particularly if the Apple store is as poorly stocked as it sounds (my wife would probably disagree having seen the handbag selection in YouTube videos...). First time Celebrity/veteran NCL and Princess cruiser here...I booked a cruise for Oct 2023 on the Equinox via the Celebrity website, as no one could match the price I got using the ALLABOARD100 promo code last week. I am considering moving the booking to a large well-known TA for its platinum card benefits (hint hint!) that include an additional $300 OBC. Is there any reason I should not do this? Will this potentially mess something up, or would I be foolish not to transfer the reservation? The Celebrity website currently shows that I have $1,300 in OBC for this cruise, which I am pretty sure is $600 too high, but I'd hate to lose that by transferring the booking. Any insight appreciated!

It appears that maybe the code is only allowed to be used once on each cruise or maybe each cabin category? I was able to book an Equinox RS using the code this morning, then went right back in to check something and the promo code no longer worked. I tried the cruise the week after mine and it worked again.

This is awesome, thanks for posting this promo code! I was on the fence whether to book with Celebrity for the first time (we've been on many Princess and NCL cruises) but this promo code gave us $100 extra OBC and more importantly lowered the fare over $500. Combined with the $350 we'll save double dipping the AMEX promo, the all-in fare we got for a Royal Suite with $1,000 OBC is totally reasonable and I went ahead and booked this morning. I'm comparing this with the Haven on NCL and since so much is already included on X we'll be saving a bundle. Thanks again!!!
