Hi
We are thinking about upgrading our cabin but rccl want $700 just now to do that as they still have cabins for sale - so the wee man On the phone said to wait until on the ship and go to guest relations
Has anyone done this before and if so how much did it cost to upgrade in the ship?
Thank you

Ahh ok didn't mean to start a debate - will do what we think is best -
I think it's a uk thing - tip when you receive good service

I have read about the gratuities - do they give you a bill at the end of the cruise?
We opted out as we were told we could tip as when we wanted to people who had served us well
Is this not the case?

we are off the 31st of may this year for 14 nights from southampton and it cost us £1100 each - thought this was a bargain

Thank you for your replies
One last question for just now - in the main dining room is the menu very posh? My partner is a huge fusspot and doesn't really like a lot to eat but we have put ourselves forward for the my family dining and would live to use it some nights - is there variety to the menu?
Thanks

Thank you how much extra for the kids party at night - sounds like something they would love so with the drinks package can you get drinks and pretty much take them anywhere on the boat?

Hi there
We are away in 20 days on independence of the seas for 14 nights
The kids (6&8) will no doubt love it but at 10pm when the club is finished can they go to the bar area and sit with us or is it bed time all around?
Thanks

Also does anyone have experience of the kids clubs? The kids are 7 and 8 and are super excited about the family time dining already but what about through the day is there activities, as well as the pool?
Thanks

hi
we are cruising in 21days on the independence of the seas and have a couple of questions
the premium drinks package - does that include spirit and mixer drinks? it only says cocktails as does the ultimate package? My other half likes his rum and cola!
also i assume the indoor areas have air conditioning? is it chilly at night? we are off round Europe so will be hot out and about but but wondering the ship will be cold inside?
sorry if these are silly questions but been playing on my mind :):)
thank you

I think for girls, they would be fine on non-formal nights. To keep packing to a minimum, we have always had our DS change into an outfit for dinner, and then changed afterward so the outfits for dinner were worn more than once. I know in Europe, they tend to eat later than in the US with kids, so I don't know if your girls would be going to the kids' program after dinner. Our DS did, which is why we always had him change.
hi
they will be in the kids club - they are very excited about it all:D

hi
We are off in 3 weeks for a 2 week med cruise on independence of the sea's
now we have a 6 & 8 year old girls traveling and was wondering if they can wear their smart play-suits in the Main dining room? they are ones that are designed for night time wear and cost me a small fortune but if they are not allowed then i wont take them - want to follow the rules - they do also have some dresses too.
just really curious so we dont pack the wrong things.
thank you
