Sometimes, they offer the next cruise, which would be a b2b, at a reduced rate.  Now that ships are running full, it doesn’t happen as often.  However, it did happen to us just last month, because the next cruise was not fully booked.  The guests OB, jumped on that and filled up the ship.

I checked prices on the future ones, that I was interested in, and none were a good deal.  IMO.  Just check with them early on. YMMV

Staying on board after the South Pacific and heading south, right?....we were very very tempted but...

  2. depends on how quickly they clear the ship from the previous cruise,...but boarding can be around 11...with handicapped, Suite Pax and Elite boarding first.

B2B pax will be ahead of those mentioned above, and sometimes dealing with them can slow things down.

Thanks for ALL your replies. So if we don't do The Sanctuary, and The Retreat is adults only as well, about how many people can be in that area, or I guess how many lounge chairs do they have?

lots of photos if you do a  google search....then you can count the number of lounge chairs, if that's important

On the Sapphire: service was almost non-existent. We were offered morning tea/coffee/water and some pastries. In the afternoon...nada. When we got hungry, we left. It's not like they were busy, we were almost the only people up there.

On the Discovery: the service was better. We were again almost the only people in there. Can't remember a lot of specifics, but we finally decided it's just not for us.

I agree with you there....we were recently on the Sapphire for the 32 day South Pacific sailing. Talk about lack of service!...and we are not very demanding people.  It was horrible...shamefully horrible. We cancelled all of our bookings after 2 visits. You would never know that it should have been the same experience as we have had on the Sky, Regal and Enchanted.

    You're not serious, are you.

absolutely....they had those wickers sofas and chairs lined up on the deck overlooking the pool/muts area....and they sold out early in the day. We will be on board during the same time and expect to see the same...

Not to give the Princess monetization department any ideas, but they could be making the MUTS loungers pre-paid reserved seating for Super Bowl Sunday or other big sporting events shown on MUTS.  $25 per lounger from 4:00 pm until the games over times however many loungers there are, could be bigly profitable!💲😉💲

they already do that...on the Enchanted for last Super Bowl, the rented out reserved sofas and loungers on the upper deck with special food and drink service. Seems to me  it was either $100 or $150PP

Since most of the world doesn't care about the Super Bowl, it might have been nice to know where you will be sailing, rather than have us look it up. If it's a US cruise, then probably. We cruised Japan and were able to watch Sumo live. So yes, regionally popular sports are shown.

Sky Princess is sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, doing 7 dayers in the Caribbean. We have family members leaving the ship this morning....
