Taking our grandkids over Thanksgiving for first cruise for them...ages 6 & 11. How do you go about registering them before the cruise for camp?
Thank you!
When you complete the online registration for the kids is when you register them for Camp Carnival; just click ‘Youth Program Registration’.

The kids definitely don't have to attend the orientation but on the Ecstasy they had a little game for the kids to find different prizes hidden around the orientation room (may be cute for the 2 and 4 year olds). This is also where you pick up all the appropriate age grouped camp schedules and the phones are still available as far as I know for the 2 and maybe the 4 year old on a first come, first served basis. I believe it's only about an hour or less. You'll find what time it starts in your Fun Times on embarkation day. You can definitely search for example schedules.

What is the name of the promotion everyone is saving so much money on???
It's called "Early Saver Event". http://www.carnival.com/cruise-deals/early-saver.aspx?icid=CC_esevent0105_hmpg_t2_2779

I also have a passport, but my kids (8 and 3) do not (yet) and I used their birth certificates with no problem during our Thanksgiving cruise.

Just to confirm for those above that mentioned screenshots -- is a screenshot from the Fare Viewer page enough? Or do you need to do something better than that (i.e. start a booking and screenshot the total before checking out)?
- John...
I've always screenshot the mock booking page that displays the new total with taxes.

Yeah, that is why I asked....I had already tried that and it comes back with a "not found".
Yeah, for some reason, all of the other fleets work except for Magic.
-
This should help you out; click on 'Staterooms with Portholes': https://www.goccl.com/~/media/Files/Irman/bookccl/the_fleet/Ecstasy/Ecstasy.ashx
I don't see R210, but if you mean R21, then that appears to be on the list.

Even though these are from April 2014, I'm not sure if anything really changed although I just went on a Thanksgiving cruise and can't seem to remember any alcohol pricing at all: http://www.zydecocruiser.net/Carnival-Bar-Menu/CarnivalCruiseBarMenu.htm

Nice Christmas present!

Also, you may want to check with DH/TA because it sounds like the 35-hour sale is one where Carnival assigns you a room (guarantee room), and I don't believe those can be changed but may be able to get an upgrade? But I can definitely be wrong about that last statement.

Sorry,... What's "X" ?
Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
I believe that's a Celebrity cruise.

Here's the form: http://www.carnival.com/request-forms/lowest-price-guarantee.aspx
Take a screenshot of the price and if you are denied, give your PVP a call or call the 1-800 #. I believe if you used a TA, they will have to submit it for you but I'm sure someone will verify that statement if incorrect.

We also had connecting rooms on the Ecstasy last month. We had to get our room steward to get someone to unlock the doors for us initially, so it stays unlocked the entire time. Since our kids were in the next room we left it open in some capacity at all times and like someone else stated, it swayed here and there depending on our voyage, but no problem at all for us.

Can you get smoothies ? If so are they under one of the programs?
Check out the only smoothies they provide on page 6, which sounds like nothing your wife may enjoy at all in place of food:

In the meantime, fill out the form: http://www.carnival.com/request-forms/price-protection-claim.aspx
And also take a screenshot of the mock booking just in case it's rejected; you'll have proof.

I always put them on before going to the port. I pack a small stapler to attach them after getting off the airplane. This way it won't tear off during the loading/unloading of an aircraft and it won't confuse the baggage handlers that have to handle baggage going to other airplanes for people who aren't flying direct.
Thanks for the stapler idea! I'll be packing my mini one for next week!

I booked es and picked my room, when I call they say Im not eligible for the 35 hr savings. Does this sound right?
Yes, that sounds about right unless you want to give up your room and ES and let Carnival pick your room (GTY), then you could get the 35 hr sale and no more price drops, I believe since you will no longer be ES.

4 more days!!!

UPDATE TO MY LAST UPDATE: I have another booking so I decided to try and apply my gift cards and to my surprise I was able to apply them. I went back to my other booking and tried again with no luck. At this point I have to decide if the 10% is worth all of this :) Cheers and Good Luck
Well glad that they did finally work at least on another cruise! I always believe any amount of money is worth it...but that's just me...lol!
-
UPDATE: Spoke with Carnival again today. They said because the vacation was booked through a TA and the cards are promotional they can only be used onboard!!!!!!!!!! Not a happy camper! (cruiser)
I was able to use my 2 $500 gift cards to pay off our cruise for next week with no problems, but I did use a PVP. But seems like folks on here have used TAs to redeem theirs with no problems...something they have to do special or something.
That sounds about right since it says this for the eGift card terms & conditions: TRAVEL AGENTS, AGENCIES OR ANY OTHER TRAVEL INTERMEDIARY SERVICE CANNOT BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS DIGITAL GIFT CARD.
-
I believe it can take up to 2 days but I usually get my rejections within minutes and I just call my PVP and he gets it approved immediately if valid request. I agree with calling within a couple of hours if haven't heard anything and also take a screenshot of your booking results.

Does anyone know if there is a "cruise by" date for this sale?
I don't see the option for the Liberty in June.
Just wondering if it's only good on cruises through a certain month.
TIA:D:D

Yes, they must have reverted back to the old booking version because I did see it this morning also. I guess they must have gotten complaints or something.
