We'll be on that same Thanksgiving cruise and would love to hear any feedback also!
-
Our past guest obc is showing up the same way online. Misc charges - fees and credits has the amount that we saved or was dropped, $146.20, and then has obc of $40, but we received updated booking confirmation emails today (since we called in yesterday) stating the entire $186.40 as obc.

I have to agree with the tight rooms. This trip we just opted for interior connecting rooms for us and the kids (3 and 8). Believe me...that door will be open all the time. It just was cheaper to go that route and my PVP recommended it for our Thanksgiving cruise, otherwise I wouldn't have even thought about it. So we'll see how it works out.

I emailed my PVP yesterday morning as soon as I saw the original post, and I have yet to hear from her. Any other time I have emailed her to ask a question I hear back pretty promptly.
Anyhow, I went ahead and filled out the claim form online and it said something about I would hear about it in up to 48 hours. Did anyone else experience this?
I certainly wouldn't wait 48 hours (even though it may be earlier) because the sale ends tomorrow. Just call your PVP. Maybe your email just got lost aong everyone elses that she/he may be getting bombarded with...who knows.

Thank you all and OP for this thread because I immediately contacted my PVP this morning and we have a $146.20 credit plus $40 obc for each of our 2 rooms...so $372.40 in OBC (the other room are the kid's room)! He also automatically took care of the other past guest in our party/family too! I'm so happy! Thanks again!

I was so impressed with the Dept. of State as I mailed my renewal app on October 1st and DH's October 2nd and I got mine back on October 16 and his October 17th...only 2 weeks...perfect and with no expedited services. We also took pics at CVS using $2 off coupon on their website.

35 long days!

That's great news! Lesson...exhaust all avenues and hopefully something will come through to your liking...lol!

I surely wish you luck and hope you get them FedEx'ed ASAP and they arrive before you leave! I see Mary responded to your post on the Carnival forum, so hopefully EVERYONE is on it!

Hi -
I was wondering is there a benefit of purchasing these gift cards ?
I'm not too familiar with them.
Do you get a bonus or something ?
(ie - pay $100 to get a $120 card)
unless I'm missing something what is the purpose - other than to give as gifts
Thanks - and good luck with your refund - I hope someone with the authority comes to their senses in time for your trip.
Thanks
Just to quickly answer your question quickly...some people can get a 10% discount purchasing eGift cards like Verizon Wireless using points. They have a smart rewards program where you accumulate points. So for a $50 card, it'll be 500 points and will only cost you $45 ($5 savings). For a $100 card, it'll be 1,000 points and will only cost you $90 ($10 savings). For a $500 card, it'll be 5,000 points and will only cost you $450 ($50 savings).
It's definitely worth it as I purchased 2 $500 ones and used it to pay off our cruise...I'll take saving $100 any day...lol! I'll be purchasing a couple more to add to our sign and sail card too.

Although we are flying in, the hotel we are staying at offers a cruise package with parking and shuttle service:
Holiday Inn Express, Ft. Lauderdale Cruise-Airport
1500 SE 17th Street Causeway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33316 United States

I believe you will have to wait to set up account until you get on ship. This is what it actually states on the eGift card: To redeem towards activities/shore excursions or onboard gifts, drinks and fun, print and bring this e-card to the Guest Services Desk on board your cruise ship so it can be credited towards your Sail & Sign account.
-
Totally correct...the eGift card states the exact same thing: To redeem towards activities/shore excursions or onboard gifts, drinks and fun, print and bring this e-card to the Guest Services Desk on board your cruise ship so it can be credited towards your Sail & Sign account.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how do I view my cruises booked on my iPhone? I view the "full site" at carnival.com, but don't see an option to sign in. I couldn't seem to find a Carnival app either? Thx for any help.
If using cell, you were right to go to the full site, then click on Manage at the top of the screen and then My Booking and you should get the login screen.

Is anyone else having issues logging into Carnival's website?
I just tried logging into the site this morning and was able to do so with no issues.

We're sailing for this Thanksgiving and staying one night at Holiday Inn Express, FORT LAUDERDALE AIRPORT SOUTH, 205 N. Federal Hwy., Dania Beach FL 33004, but I'm so sorry because I don't really know the area, but the price was right, it provides a free shuttle from/to airport, and it provided breakfast, which was important to us because my kids wake up hungry at all times. Also because that was one of the hotels listed on ridesas.com shuttle site, which we will be using to take us to and from the Port of Miami.

How does the print out work at the kiosk? I haven't seen one yet... is there a bar code that gets scanned from the print out? Thank you
I just bought an eGift card yesterday and it has a Virtual Gift Card ID and PIN.

You will definitely have to use your gut instinct on this one and a good way that I got around it was to cruise with other family members if possible. I guess your family definitely has to be fun cruisers which mine are. When my son was 1.5 I brought him and we had a good time. I brought my ergobaby to carry him when on ports...it works wonders especially when he fell asleep. And when I wanted to go out with my sisters at night, that was perfect time for grandparents time. He chilled with me outside at the pools, we took many walks, etc. I also agree with taking all meds you may need along with thermometer just in case and some favorite (and/or new) toys. Either way...enjoy!

Verizon Wireless Smart Rewards Carnival eGift Cards come in increments of $50, $100, and $500 with the 10% discount at purchase and it states the following:
Get ready for a good time on Carnival Cruise Lines! Carnival eGift Cards can be used for almost anything: towards the purchase of a Carnival cruise,activities/shore excursions, and redeemed onboard toward the Sail & Sign account for gifts, drinks, and fun.
-
According to the fine print, the gift certificates that are $500 must be mailed in. I'm not 100% sure, but I decided to get the eCards instead so I could manually enter them myself or carry them onboard to guest services. There is also a $100 gift certificate that is the same. So, be sure you are selecting the one you want :).
Sorry posted response wrong the first time...No, but thank you! But these are the eGift Cards that I'm referring to.

Thank you so very much OP! I'll be getting some today as my balance is due next week. I LOVE saving money! And they are in increments of $50, $100 and $500, so I'll definitely be starting with the $500 ones.
