  1. I use to be able online to checkout cruises I was interested in as well as what flights and pricing were being offered.  I can’t find that anymore.

in addition I have booked a cruise for April 2024 and altho we are less than 333 days away, still can’t check flights.

    anyone know what is happening?

    thanks

  2. As someone who has done a multitude of transatlantic crossibg - favorite cruise - the last few they ran a trivia at noon for all sea days that the scores for each team were kept on file.  The top 3 teams on the final sea day got gifts.  But it surely was fun and we met quite a few other passengers because of it.

also we have done some that ran like an Olympics on sea days - virtual games or ring toss or shuffleboard, ping pong.  Also fun and made friends.  Have to write that a friend of ours competed in ping pong against a blind individual and our friend lost.  That has become a laugh with our friend for years.

if you don’t see things being offered, go to cruise director and make suggestions.

    hope this helps

  3. I find it ironic that Princess wants to push for more cruises being purchased on board.  Over the years my experience with future cruise people and getting quotes were always soooo much higher than my travel agent. I would get a quote onboard and then email my agent for a quote. Ended up never purchasing onboard.

It is almost like Princess is trying hard to lose its loyalty base with all the  changes that have been made in perks.  If we get "sales people" onboard getting aggressive with sales, that could also turn a lot of us off.

I keep telling friends that cruising is going back to the 40's and 50's when it was a true luxury vacation and the average person could not afford it.  The prices have skyrocketed, and the next generation of vacationers won't be able to cruise.  Please don't jump all over me, it is my opinion.  Thanks

  4. We were there in 2019, but we usually do Europe in the fall on  a transatlantic cruise. Wait time was about ten to 15 minutes.  My dh had an Irish friend drive us all over.  After the Blarney Stone we walked out of the area and were taken to a local pub for lunch.  It was fabulous to say the least.

  5. As someone who normally travelled a party of ten people, pre covid and pre medallion, we would show up at MDR the first night and request table for ten.  We would get it but we knew they normally use them as sharing tables.  By the second night that first table and waiter were ours the rest of the cruise.

only real negative is that our party of ten spent at least 3 hours having a meal.  Our friends ended up hating to miss the show so that they ate at a different time. We were then down to six which is more manageable.

Does this really surprise you? I don't plan on using either of those features if I get the Plus package in the future. I don't remember people saying "I wish they would create these outrageous desserts" or "I wish they would now charge for fitness classes". They probably did charge for a few previously. Just not something people seemed thrilled about - I think most would have preferred the $50 Plus package with out these 2 features.

I have the plus package from before the increase in price.  It does not include the premium desserts or fitness classes???.

  7. We have reserved an owners suite for our Alaskan cruise.  We are elite but we are treating ourselves for our 50 th anniversary.

the balcony wraps around and has lounge chairs as well as table with 4 chairs.  We can have friends join us for dinner (off the dining room menu)   This is something I like.  On the Ruby the owners suite is aft and we are on the aloha deck.

I don’t think you can go too wrong whatever you decide

  8. We have reserved a regular suite.  I realize we can have the MDR food brought to our cabin.  So my question is, we are traveling with another couple.  Can they join us in our cabin?  Will the ship send 4 dinners to our cabin?

    thanks for any responses.

  9. We have spent birthdays, anniversaries etc. with our cruising buddies at the Crown Grill and loved it.  But - many many years ago we ate at Sabatini and really loved that.  When we returned a year later to Sabatini we hated it.  But, our last cruise pre pandemic, we went back to Sabatinis and loved it so much with newer menu and room ambiance that I think we will celebrate there on our cruise.

the point I am trying to make is - both restaurants are special for a special occasion.  Enjoy.

one last thing tho, we found the crown grill to get very busy and therefore the servers are very busy.  Sabatini’s doesn’t seem to get as crowded.

    happy anniversary

  10. My friends and I for so many years have gone to the vines before going to dinner.  We order a bottle of wine and have the sushi or tapas.  When we noticed about five or six years ago many non drinkers sitting in the vines at a high useage time we spoke to the staff.  We suggested they put out signs saying “seating for cruisers enjoying wine from 4 to 7 pm”

we were told they couldn’t that.  My reply was this is where princess could make money but chooses not to.  Makes no sense.  All of us stopped going that year to the vines.

I'm not sure how to copy a thread so I pasted this info from another thread that worked for me. Instead of faxing, just send an email. I received an email back saying it would take up to 21 days and it took 2 days to show on my account.

I just send this via email:  ('sbpcl@princesscruises.com' with my stock proof attached)

I am requesting the shareholder’s Benefit.  I have purchased the required 100 shares of CCL and offer up the following supporting information as noted on the Shareholder Benefit webpage.

100 shares purchased (see attached brokerage report)

    Name:

    Booking Number:

    Ship:

    Sail Date:

    Name

    Address

    Phone

MUCH easier than trying to use that dumb form!  People who design these forms rarely go through the motions of actually filling them out!  Field lengths are never long enough unless you write microscopically!

Thanks so much.  I got my benefit in less than 24 hours.

  12. When we cruise we usually are a group to six or eight people, but we are individual bookings.  When we go to the crown grill, I gather the couples names and cabin numbers.  I call up and make the reservation for a table of six or eight.  I have never had a problem and we are all elite, so quite a few sailings  under  our feet.

You should really have no problem.

  13. Ok, here is latest.  I spoke to princess person who made the original reservation.  She sent a full confirmation of my original reservation.  So fingers crossed.

I told her I did not want to learn I couldn’t have this cabin and have princess downgrade me and offer refunds or obc .  She swears that can’t happen.  I told her that a huge percentage of loyal princess passengers have faith in princess right now.

    thanks to all for responding

Let me guess:  someone sold you D101 or D102.

Due to a quirk of how these suites were added (by essentially opening the partition wall between an owners suite and the adjacent mini suite) they sell them as two linked bookings - D101 gets D105, I think and D102 gets D106.  The backend does not seem to enforce this rule very well, but because of the extremely limited number of Family Suites on these ships, they must have someone manually manage the inventory periodically.

While the locations of D101 and D102 are extremely desirable, the layout is a little awkward and when they catch up with this, it’s going to be a fortune to add the other minisuite.  I hope there are other OSs available for your sailing.

    Nope not D101 102
