  1. I may be having issues with my gallbladder but I am not able to get an ultrasound until this Friday.... In the event I need to have it removed and if my dr clears me for the cruise will I be okay to cruise mid April.... Not sure if there is a policy by Royal Caribbean or anything. Like that....

I would hate to miss this cruise, my family has been looking forward to this for the past 18 months!

  2. I have always had the early seating on cruises so I dont know any different. But at home I am not eating dinner at 8pm so why would I on a cruise? by 8 I would be thinking what I am going to have for snack before bed :)

But anyway, we will be on grandeur in april so seating is at 5:30, which will be perfect since we have two children who will tolerate dinner at that time vs the later seating.

  3. It's normal for the SetSail to list someone as "cash", even though they are on your account. I'd check with Guest Services once you are onboard and confirm the charging arranegements.

Luggage tags are normally available to download at 7 weeks before the cruise.

    Ok great thanks!

  4. I just printed off our set sail passes.....

I have my two daughters on my set sail pass and then hubby has his own (we are all in the same room)

for onboard expense account it has the card we are paying with but on hubbys it has cash....even though during online check in I have that I am paying for onboard expenses.... is this correct?

also when and how do I get our luggage tags, we booked through a travel agent if that matters at all..

    thanks

  5. We are in the same boat for our upcoming 10 day here in April....I think we have decided on just one package because Hubby can definitely drink 5-7 drinks throughout the day even if we are at port....Me on the other hand I will probably have that many on sea days but not port days....its hard to tell because we hardly ever drink, unless we are on vacation....but paying $1000 for alcohol is crazy...and its not like I NEED to drink to have a good time....

  6. We are traveling as a group of 11 in April.... we are all assigned to eat at the same table in the main dinning room for dinner but who is there every night depends on the individual/small families that are part of our group...if my family of 4 wants to do the buffet one night instead of dinning room, then so be it no one gets upset....

We are all going in with the mind set that there is no pressure to do anything and everything as the large group....its a lot less stressful that way...and then when we do met up whenever that may be throughout the cruise we will have more fun talking about everyone's day/experiences.

  7. We are doing a western in April...75 days can fly by!!

We will have our 3 year old and 5 year old with us....

We are going to go to Paradise Beach in Cozumel....

Falmouth we are just going to Margaritaville at the port for a little bit....

Grand Cayman we are going to the turtle farm I think...

we also have Labadee as one of our ports so that will be a beach day for us

  8. We are not canceling our cruise in April because of it and will have our kiddos with us who are 3 and 5. We will be in Haiti which has been identified as one of the areas with confirmed cases.....it will be a beach day for us and we will use the splash play area through adventure ocean for the kiddos as well as their lunch....I am hoping the mosquitos aren't out and about during the day on the beach, (here in PA they come out around dusk which by then we will be at dinner on the ship)....

  9. Read up on the virus. 80% of people will not even know they had the virus. The rest may develop slight flu symptoms. Of course there could be other exceptions. The real scare is if you are pregnant. That is the group that needs to be truly over cautious.

I did read up on it, thanks...and I would hope that if one of us were bit it would go without notice...I am not planning on getting pregnant again so I don't have to worry about that...but there some (I think only a handful) who have become paralyzed from the bites...I am not worrying about it too much but it is something on my mind.

  10. We have been to Labadee many times and have never seen a mosquito.

I have been too but that was way back in 2002....my parents are there almost every year now and haven't had any issues with them...I just know Haiti is on the map now for the virus, and now that I am a mom my "worries" have increased just a tad, LOL

  11. Let me know if you see any masquitos...im getting a little nervous with all the news coverage the SIKA virus is getting considering we are in our 30's with two young children....

At labadee we just plan for it to be a beach day and take the kiddos to the little splash park they have through adventure ocean.

  12. Thanks :) it works great for me! PLUS it helps with my obsession to gather things long before a cruise which helps me with the excitement :D.

The Belkin is also available at Home Depot, that is where I bought mine. Probably cheaper to buy it in the US (I'm in Canada).

I'm kind of obsessive with organizing and tidying. I am hooked on the KonMari method (books by Marie Kondo).

I just bought the Belkin on amazon for like $9, very reasonable I think....then I couldn't help myself but I bought some luggage tags and some beach towel clips so I can lounge all day by the pool without fussing with my towel :)

Im going to look for the shoe organizer at the dollar stores here in our area!

  13. I own the Belkin that is in the link in one of the posts. It is plugged in in my kitchen right now, it has surge protection. Two USB's in the end, 3 outlets and you can push a button on the side where the plug is and turn it to whatever way suits you best. The only thing that limits plugging in 3 items is whether or not the plugs are large. Right now I have my computer and a phone plugged in, a normal small plug would still fit in the middle, but not a larger one. It always goes in my carryon, I haven't had an issue taking it on the ship, but I have heard of people having problems taking on a power bar. Hope this helps.

I bought my organizer years ago at Wal Mart but I don't think that they carry them now, mine is clear, it hangs on the little knobs on the inside of the bathroom door. Our dollar store has organizers for $2 and they are really really light fabric, made for shoes, but it works really well. If the plastic one wears out I will start taking the fabric one with us. Right now I keep the fabric one on the back of the spare bedroom door and when I'm gathering things for a cruise I use the pockets to gather my evening bags, shoes and accessories. Then when I am ready to pack I just pull the stuff out of the pockets and pack with the outfits.

    Dee

    that's a great idea!

  14. I think you can get cheap over the door organizers (made for shoes) at dollar stores or target type stores.

I bought this; http://smile.amazon.com/Belkin-3-Outlet-Charger-Protector-Charging/dp/B0015DYMVO/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1454088496&sr=8-10&keywords=usb+power+strip for our cruise and it worked really well. 3 power spots and two usb spots. :D

Thanks the outlet charger you posted was exactly the one I had seen on here before and forgot what it was called...I probably confused some by saying outlet adapter...
