  1. Having a chill sea day. Our routine is that I get up and shower first so I can hang out on deck while the wife gets ready. We are on deck 8 so I can just walk down the hall and be on deck. There’s some nice seating just out the door.
  2. It sounds like some people got left in Costa Maya yesterday. They called a few names and we left 45 minutes late. We were watching the gangway and security waited there until they closed up and we left. Last night we had dinner in Le Bistro. I had the beef tartare (ok seemed like it might have sat out a bit). Mushroom soup (amazing), the beer tenderloin (what’s up with the quarter sized fois gra. Sorry about the spelling. Autocorrect.). For dessert I tried the meringue thing. It wasn’t bad. Very light. Since we were right across from Headliners we could see people lining up 90 minutes early for the late show. We walked in 30 minutes prior and got decent seats about midway down. After that we walked outside a little and crashed out for the night.
  3. I’ll grab a picture when I get back to the room sometime today.
  4. I might have. I’m going to post the dailies in bulk on Monday so they’re all in one place. Burn the Floor isn’t our thing but people say it’s good. They didn’t show it until last night due to new dancers coming onboard.
  5. Yes. You get 10 percent off the base fare. You will also get a military package in your room and an invitation for a veterans gathering.
  6. Can you explain this a little more. Was it an online form, email, phone call into premium air? I haven’t seen where you can customize the BOGO flights for a fee anywhere. At least in my experience.
  7. On the Breakaway right now. There is no chefs table.
  8. 3 ships in Costa Maya today. The Wonder of the Seas, Pearl, and us. We had a reservation at Jamie’s Blue Reef. First time that we have been there. Getting a taxi was a bit confusing. There’s some right outside the port area but I think they are for tours. You have to walk down and outside the security gate. There was a man that helped get us a taxi to take us to Blue Reef. So far it’s nice. The area is small but they have nice comfy chairs and the service is fantastic so far. Also they have coke light in bottles.
  9. Last nights dinner was Cagneys. I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail. They are much larger than when they advertised tiger shrimp. Also did the Onion Soup which was ok and the NY Strip. We shared a chocolate cake with 2 scoops of ice cream for dessert.
  10. Of course when we got back from Harvest Caye we had to eat again. Stopped at O’Sheenhans for some wings and pretzel bites.
  11. I feel like I’m going off the rails a little but I will try to catch up. Wednesday night we went to the new show in the Spiegel tent. It was a 80s Broadway Caberet. We apparently missed where it said “Broadway”. If you’re into 80’s Broadway I’m sure it’s a fine show. My wife enjoyed the Annie tunes they did at the end but she didn’t like the rest of it. Last night we did the late comedy show. He was very good. Syd Norman’s had Rock the House last night. People started lining up 2 hours prior. I wish they’d have them play in the main theater at least once.
  12. So I surprised my wife with a Villa at Harvest Caye. It’s nice, but the beach overall hasn’t been crowded. The big upside of the villa is the private bathroom and the amazing loungers. Drinks are very good, the food was all right but I was surprised there’s only 4 options for the villas. Did a little snorkeling but the water is pretty murky so you can’t see a whole lot. My highlight was a big orange starfish.
  13. With their schedule and amount of rooms they’re not doing requests. At least on this cruise.
  14. 16:30. It’s been very late afternoon every day. We don’t want to go back to the room and nap at all because we don’t want to miss our room getting cleaned.
  15. Well maybe being Sapphire helped. It was only 20 minutes of waiting. Waiting for the new 80s Cabaret broadway show thing in the Spiegel Tent. Food pics later. Or tomorrow. Or never if I forget.
  16. Oof da! 6:40 and it’s a one hour wait for taste and savor. I should have worn pants and taken my chances at the Manhattan room. Someday I’ll understand what the Sapphire priority dining perk means. 🙂
  17. 3PM and we had to eat again or we might die. Highlight was the ham and pickle sandwich.
  18. Talked to Victor about the tour. He apologized and offered to take us out for free due to the delays. Thanked him for the offer but we stayed onboard. Had lunch in the buffet. Not a bad selection today. Good was hot and fresh. Ate some Indian food along with pizza. Also had some chicken Parmesan. It was more chicken coated in egg. Also had meatballs and meatloaf. Ended the meal with lemon sorbet and pistachio ice cream.
  19. I think I missed dinner last night. The MDR menu wasn’t exciting so we though we’d try the buffet. Full disclosure, we rarely do the buffet so I don’t know what’s normal. Only one side was open and it seemed to have somewhat limited selections. The carving station was leg of lamb and the specialty stuff was several types of kabobs (meat only). I settled on some pizza which was once again pretty good. Dessert selections were lame so I had a scoop of ice cream. Apparently I had some Mac and cheese and tried out the lamb.
  20. Went to O’Shehans for breakfast. Ordered the corn beef and hash with some eggs. I’m more a fan of the canned stuff. The plan was to use Victor Bodden to take us to Infinity Bay. We checked in there and watched all the other groups of people get taken for a tour. After an hour we decided to give up since it was almost 9:30 now. As we were waking off, they said our driver was almost here. Told them it had been too long. So we are having a ship day.
