  1. I was able to do this directly with Delta for a cruise last October. I just paid the fare difference of $22. This probability depends on what airline NCL books you with as they have different rules.
  2. You should be able to change the flights online to a better schedule, you'll just have to pay the difference in fare. We used the free flights last year and were booked on Delta, our return flights left at 5PM, I was able to change them to 1PM departures for about 40 bucks.
  3. NCL will book the flights same day. You can request, and I highly recommend requesting a deviation up to two days prior.
  4. It's certainly not high tea, they'll have some scones, jams, and creams available, maybe some sandwiches. On newer ships with the observation lounge they will have it available there also.
  5. I agree, but if people are booking cruises with the package as-is why would they change it.
  6. That limit has been in place for a while, but yes, prices have recently increased. The $35 limit is just for the entrée, not the meal. When we were on the Bliss last month we were told we could order anything for an entrée except for the upcharge items (like the Tomahawk/Surf and Turf, etc.). My wife and I both had entrees over $35 and were not charged. Of course this might differ by ship...
  7. I always leave the steward a note with any requests that I have and typically they get filled. I do know that there were a fair amount of staff members near the end of their 9 month contract, we had been recognized by many bartenders since we had been on back in October. That still isn't an excuse to not clean your room though.. Sorry that you caught Covid on the cruise, we were on a few weeks ago and tested positive when we got home.
  8. Are you talking about opening the dividers between the balconies? NCL does not allow this. If you're talking about the rooms being adjoining with a door inside to connect them, yes, there are rooms with this feature.
  9. You must not get out much, a lot of businesses are struggling to get employees, or even get them to show up day to day. Places like restaurants here don't know day to day if they can open due to staffing issues or them calling in. But I guess that's all NCL's responsibility to make sure that all these places (including 3rd party transport) has staffing every day.
  10. I would use a phone or tablet. They actually control the camera and will switch between the front and back camera to get shots of you ID/Test, and watch you taking the test. It's very easy to do and they walk you through all the steps.
  11. It was on there a few weeks ago also....nothing new when cruising, wash your hands!! We didn't catch it, but we did catch Covid.
  12. We were on the Bliss April 30th, after we came home we did test positive for Covid. A pretty good chunk of our group that's on social media also reported either getting Covid, or Norovirus....:(.
  13. We were on the April 30th cruise and Six is no longer on the ship. They said it was going to come back at some point, but the CD didn't give a date. Part of it may be due to running at reduced capacity still, they estimated the Alaska runs were still only going to max out at 60 percent or so (of course that may change).
  14. No. They do not supply binoculars. There are a couple of fixed binoculars on the promenade, but I would for sure bring a set.
  15. We just got off the Bliss and there were no closures. We had around 1900 passengers. I don’t remember the exact staff count but it was only a cpl hundred from a full compliment.
  16. The process is done by a 3rd party company so calling NCL will probably not get you a valid answer. I have always been notified yay or nay. It could be the day of cruise though, especially now with last minute cancellations due to people having a positive Covid test.
  17. On the Bliss right now and it’s first come first served.
