Nice vlog!
But to use the word "secret" together with Bilbao is wrong. With places like The Guggenheim Museum I wouldnt exactly call it a "well kept secret!".. :)

So, we will be in Barcelona with Celebrity Reflection overnight from 12-13 October. That is normally a port I really like, and always look forward to visit. However it seems that it is some growing unrest, and now even local dock workers seems to join in. That MIGHT be a issue. So the question would be: Alternative ports? We will arrive from Nice, and the day after Barcelona is a sea day. Then its Malaga.
Would Marseille, Palma, or Valencia be potential alternatives to Barcelona.
Hopefully this develops in a peaceful way though!

Takk for fint review! Ca en måned til vi mønstrer på:)

You should really take a trip into Ravenna, and Basilica of San Vitale. Well worth visiting.
If I dont remember incorrect, it is a 20-30 min taxi ride from the cruise harbour to the center of Ravenna.

A funny observation: For me it seems like it is more activity on CC (and then Celebrity Cruises board) during weekdays than weekends.
..so it is not only me stealing time from the employer?
-
I thought they had call centers in other states. Then you just send the call that way.
Am I wrong?

Soooo, what about the name of this thread then?
-
I did. Just had to get it confirmed. So as long the generalisation hits you, you are against it. In other cased, generalisation is okay?
-
You object to THIS generalisation, or to generalisation in general?

Buhu!! No brown goat cheese, lye fish or smalahove at the buffet..

Looking forward to more! Great review so far!

I guess you get better answers regarding this at the ports of call section:
-
So behave like a normal Norwegian and zip it. .
You seem to be such a charming person....
-
Now you are just getting silly. Move along. Nothing to see here.
So you think it would be perfectly fine if someone wrote this about elderly persons? Or Asians? Or Americans?

Pumping out smoke all day. Possibly could do with some engine emission maintenance.

.... Norwegian authorities will now start with heavy regulations towards the cruise industry in Norwegian ports. One of the initiatives is to reduce the amount of cruise ship beeing allowed to visitin the fjords.
Guess the prices will raise quite much the coming years.

OP here. Thanks for all of the responses. Here are a few Random thoughts.
3) We are not "Child Haters" as some people (i.e. Norwegians) apparently surmise from my fairly cogent and succinct opening argument. We, like many cruise critic members, simply prefer not to spend our Holidays with them. Apparently my Aussie mates agree. ;)
Read it with elderly instead. Imagine the reactions you would get..

Bah, here we go again. Yet another " We hate children" thread...
I am starting to be really tired of the lack of tolerance here at CC: Some members express that they doesent like kids, others doesnt like Asians, gays, other dislike mediterrenean families, Russians, Mexican quinceaneras, or guests from San Juan.. the list goes on and on..
Just face it once and for all: Celebrity caters for all. Mass market. Average people like me: a Norwegian family father age 37 with with a upper middle class income. Im looking forward to cruise with my then 8 months old son in October this year. (October 9, Celebrity Reflection. Now you are warned..)
I you dont like that, then move on. Bring your dollar, pound, krone, euro etc elsewhere..
-
It can always be worse: imagine a ship full of spoiled Norwegian families..

We been using Tiber Limo (www.tiberlimo.com) several times. Will use them again in October.
You might find more info abut this at the ports of call section:

Until your footstool breaks and they can't replace it because it's in a verandah cabin. Or you don't have one because a steward put it in another cabin on the prior cruise. Guess that would be no problem for you...

I will survive quite fine without a foot stool..
-
I think this is an ethical question and it's not fair to the persons who have paid the full price for a conciërge class cabin. Please also book conciërge class and don't bring your steward into an awkward position with his job.

Im going in a concierge cabin in October - paying full price. If someone in another cabin wants a foot stool, asks for it, and gets it - be my guest! That doesnt destroy MY cruise experience - or my concierge experience.. I actually hope my fellow cruisers gets all the perks they can, and if a foot stool means something for them - hopefully they get it!

Seriously, what about the people in the cabins around you?
What cruise are you going on in October? LOL
Yes, it is one of the things that potentially can be a isdue. Luckily our little son calms down as long as I carry him around in my arms. The crying stops quite fast. .. it is my wife and myselfs job to calm him down.
And hey, some people snores loud and disturb their neighbour cabins....
What cruise? 9th October out of Civitavecchia with Celebrity Reflection. The roll call is quite active, so feel free to join:)

I wouldnt mind Palma. Going there next year though.
Hopefully - for the locals and for us tourists - it will calm down the coming days.
