  1. I also talked with Princess today and was told that the information previously available on cruise personalizer re ship captain cruise director and maitre de is no longer avail and they have no plans of putting it back any emails are probably backed up at my ta and I should call hem to have them forwarded. This was in my opinion a terrible reply.

  2. Did b2b on Jan 17and Jan 24. Coral dining room open until 1pm for lunch don't miss it, as has been said you need the shrimp with avacado. Curtis Stone menu items avail every night in MDR. Mahi-Mahi was wonderful, pork loin was excellent, and flank steak was acceptable.. Rooms were avail as soon ás we boarded and we were on early on the first cruise and earlier on the second. Please spend some time at crooners bar and get to know the two best bartenders on board, Kelvin and Donny.

  3. I agree. I hadn't planned on doing the formal night stuff on our next cruise but my wife would like to. So, I did something I haven't done in 40 years - I bought a suit jacket. I hate to have anything that needs dry cleaning but I figured for $6.12 (tax included) at Thrift Town it would be worth it and it would make my wife happy.

That is funny, I once needed a suit in a hurry and ended up buying one at good will. The suit was on super special and the tie at $4, was more expensive than the suit. It fit like a glove and my wife said that I looked very handsome.

  4. We sailed with eleven to Alaska, it was a wonderful family gathering. We did forward minis and across the hall interiors. The interiors can be used by the singles at night. The minis can handle the extra load. You can get an extra key for the minis to give to the singles, can get in the room and enjoy balcony but have no charging ability.

I wouldn't worry about sea conditions being different midship or forward, highly overrated IMHO. Balconies can be joined. Two of the kids can be booked in the interiors on paper to save some cash.

  5. We can usually tell by the end of the appetizer on the first night whether we will enjoy our tablemates for the cruise, so far the answer has always been, you bet! It might be that we have traditional late dining and by asking for that spot we have generally aligned ourselves with couples that have the same 'standards'.

It might be in Princess's best interest to allow all of us to further define our dining preference. When signing into our cruise personalizer, let us choose late night dining/formal, or late night dining/casual; early dining/formal or early dining/casual. I would then be with my 70% brothers and sisters every night (since it seams both sides believe they are in that majority). I would be in a section of the dining room on formal night and not have to worry that I made polo shirt guy feel bad because he was forced to sit at my table. Like wise polo shirt guy won't have to worry if he offended black tie guy.

We all feel more comfortable being with people that make the same choice as ourselves. I could care less who eats in the main dining room on any given night but if some feel strongly that Princess enforce a dress code and others feel strongly that Princess relax the dress code, let's try to find a way to accommodate both houses.

It's funny that in ATD, this problem can easily be addressed by the headwaiters. They simply seat people together that are similarly dressed.

Please everyone take time to enjoy the holiday with your families. We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year. (At least the 70%that are in my camp)

  6. We will be on the Grand out of San Francisco next week. Our return flight is at noon but when I attempted to enter that info on my booking it was rejected as "too early" by Princess. I just had to delete it all and not give them the info. Problem is we will be signing up for the Princess bus transfer to the airport as it will be the day before Thanksgiving and I am sure the airport traffic in San Francisco will be challenging. Will this be a problem with Princess allowing us to sign up for the bus transfer? In the past we have never had a problem getting to an airport by 10a. We have attempted in the past to get a taxi out of the port there and it was not pleasant.

Thanks for sharing of any of your experiences about this.

    . Mm

We will also be on the same cruise flying out of SFO at 12:10 Willing to share a limo with you. Our plan is to talk with service once on board and see if we can get a transfer. Don't think this will be much of an issue but whatever happens, lol my E-mail turfguyjim at Yahoo dot com. Hope to see you on board.

  7. Princess has some culpability. I would request a refund of my port fees. If the brochure says I will be in port for ten hours and their actions only allow me, say five, them I believe I am entitled to a refund.

  8. We are booked on the Caribbean Princess in January. My DD and SIL are thinking about joining us. Their daughter will be 14 months old. We are aware the Youth center is not an option for one that young and no swimming allowed. I've done some searching on CC and Princess site, but I couldn't find anything current. If anyone has traveled with a little one, your help would be appreciated. Our questions include:

    1) Can we reserve a crib, and how

    2) I see where we can request baby food, but some early treads said you had to fax a list of what was wanted, still the case?

    3) Can we request a high chair in the MDR

    4) I thought we could pre-order/buy some Diapers, anyone know how?

And yes, I promise to not let her ruin your trip.
