  1. ^^

1- Never use a debit card

2- A charge card is required in order to print a boarding pass for children. Princess will remove the charge card information from the children's profile after you print their boarding passes. You need to call Princess to do this.

3- Holds placed on credit cards is quite common. Hotels, gas stations and others do this all the time.

Suppose someone trashes a cabin prior to vacating or steals pillows or towels?

Princess just covers their butt. Perhaps credit score and credit limit may have something to do with holds?

  2. hello, I had a quick question, I have been on 11 princess cruises but never out of Brooklyn, I heard that Brooklyn is more strict in boarding times? is this correct? I always go early with priority boarding, and am usually one of the first groups boarding, for the new England cruise I have gotten several emails stating time to board like between 2-3, to me this day in port counts as my cruise and I want to get on as soon as possible.....so from past people what do you do? do u go early or wait, thanks so much.

When we sailed out of Brooklyn last year we arrived around 10:30 AM and were on board the Regal Princess before noon.

Had a nice lunch in the one open dining room. I forgot which one it was but lunch is served until 1:30PM

  3. On the Regal Princess do they use real eggs for breakfast on the Lido Deck?

I order my eggs in the dining room and they looked and tasted real to me

  4. Lots of complainers but no one has mentioned immediately tipping the cabin steward on the first day and mentioning some of the things that are important to you.

When you make their hand turn green they immediately remember you.

Never had a problem with any cabin steward on any cruise. They are tipped once at the beginning and again at the end.

  5. I will onboard for Halloween this year. Should I be bringing a costume with me?

    We will be Caribbean Princess.

We will be in St Thomas that day not leaving until 9 pm, but we will be back on board for dinner.

I did last year. My three under six grandchildren all ran away screaming when grandpa appeared.

  6. I am a huge fan of Princess Spaghetti and meatballs and have often ordered it from the children's menu. I didn't know about the dessert ( I love Banana Splits) YUM

My grandkids love the Spaghetti and meatballs.

They may have told the waiter to hold the meatballs or they already ate them when I took this photo?

I've ordered it as an appetizer and it is very good.

  7. I used to ask the cabin stewards if it was ok to drink and they assured me the out of the faucet was fine but coming down the Amazon I turned on the faucet and brown muddy water came out. I asked him and he said

He wouldn’t drink it. Since then I have taken to ordering bottled water.,,but I wonder what the ice cubes and dining room water are??? I must say I never got sick from it. Bottled water seems to be in fashion nowadays. An Irish guide said he never drinks water that is not bottled above the first floor even at home “since no telling how long it may have been sitting in the pipes”. Mike

What Princess ship were you on cruising on the Amazon?

The water treatment process aboard Princess ships is explained in quite a bit of detail and how closely the water is monitored during the Ultimate Ship's Tour. I've taken a few of those tours on a number of Princess ships and I've never encountered any muddy water not only on our nine previous Princess cruises but never on Home Lines, RCL, or Norwegian either.

  8. I've never cared for the rolls they put out on the table whether they are hard or soft.

We always request a freshly baked Challah for every dinner.

On our cruise last year on the Regal with our three under six grandchildren not only did we have a Challah each night but they included a platter of lox, cream cheese, sliced tomatoes, and sliced onion.

I’m very impressed, love Challah and didn’t realize that was an option, will request on our cruise in Dec. Thanks for the tip!

Am curious, were you in Trad or ATD?

We had traditional dining and had the same family table for eight every evening at 5:15 or 5:30. The kids had a blast.

  9. We have tried anytime dining but have come to the realization that we did not like it. On our last several cruises on the Royal Class ships we had traditional early dining and have enjoyed it tremendously. The waitstaff get to know you and after the first couple of nights they have everything waiting for us when we arrive. We like soft rolls instead of the hard crusted and hot tea for diner which they have set up and waiting. Had same wait staff on b2b and they were wonderful.

  10. Going on a 12 day cruise out of San Pedro with alot of luggage (thanks to the DW). How much should I tip the guys putting it on the ship?

In FLL we usually have two large heavy suitcases as well as a couple of other carry ons.

They not only schlep all your bags, but they know how to get you thru customs quickly and will go to the parking garage and load the heavy bags into your vehicle for you.

    We always tip them $20.00

Well worth it in my opinion and I don't care how much they earn per hour. They are big and strong guys and I had a hernia operation earlier this year and don't wish to incur another one.

  11. Is it safe to say that the bottled water you buy on the ship or pre-purchased is spring water and not reverse osmosis water? If so I might have to bring a case or two of Aquafina. Also, is the ships water drinkable? Other cruise lines I have been on, their water taste like reverse osmosis, same with a Princess?

Sign up for the Ultimate Ship's Tour and the whole ship's water process will be explained to you as part of the tour and you can ask questions regarding the process. The PH level is closely monitored.

    No need to purchase water
