  1. Need all day tour day before transatlantic cruise on Epic. What do you recommend?

Staying at airport hotel to be picked up or returned to hotel.

Saw Barcelona Day Tours highly recomended. Which tour do you recommend?

We want to see and do as much as we can on one day.

I am doing the all day Barcelona Day tour which will take you to all the tourist sites in one day if you are short on time and one day in Barcelona.

  2. That's exactly what I didn't want to happen! That's all I need is to come home from a cruise to find a huge amount on my credit card because I tried to use someone else's club number or something. I have since logged onto their site and the number coming up is indeed mine (thankfully)

Call Carnival and get a PVP Private Vacation Planner they will be able to help you on your first ever cruise.

  3. Just out of curiosity, have you checked back with the cruise line to see if either of the cabins became available after final payment? A lot of people cancel at the last minute. For my upcoming B2B on DCL, I started out having to switch cabins, but I checked back often and discovered our first cabin was suddenly available for the second sailing! So I snagged it and now I don't have the hassle of moving. Definitely check on it! Good luck!

Same scenario happen to me booked a Havana Cabana for our Horizon cruise and when we decided to do the TA also our room showed it was booked kept checking and about 2 months later our room became available called my PVP booked it immediately and i'm set same room for both legs no moving. So i would advise anyone to keep checking you may get lucky.

  4. The photo is free, and a copy will be delivered to your stateroom.

B2B's are an easy way to get to that next VIFP level!

Thanks evandbob good to know its free, 24 days at sea can't wait i am also looking at doing a BTB on my 2019 cruise to Aruba.

  5. Yes! I so enjoyed my B2B on the Splendor! My next booked cruise is on the Vista, end of January 2018, and I am seriously wondering how on earth I will only sail for 8 days and not do a B2B! I am looking at adding the 6 day at the end :)

I am Platinum now but a B2B has been on my bucket list since I first met someone on board on their 2nd leg way back in 2006 when I was on my 4th cruise....Finally was able to do it this year for my 50th Birthday!

I have only done one B2B and due to when I added the 2nd leg I was not able to get the same cabin. I was on the same deck and "around the corner" so I had different cabin stewards

As previously stated, I was told to check with Guest Services during my first leg to make sure they had me on the list - which they did. I received the letter with instructions the day before the change over. My cabin steward told me that he would move my belongings to my new cabin. I did pack everything up, although I had been told they would move hangers.

Change Over AM - B2B folks all met in one of the dining rooms. There was coffee, water, juice etc. A staff member collected all our S&S cards and we were escorted off the ship as a group. We went to the customs area, turned over our custom cards and then were escorted back on the ship. When we reached the Atrium we were handed our new S&S cards. Champagne and Mimosa's were served and a group photo was taken. It was really quite nice! The whole process was quick and easy and it was fun to chat with fellow B2B'ers.....I even met a couple who lived in the same City as me, live about a mile from my house.

After the drink and chat for a bit I went to my new cabin. My belongings were all there and I unpacked and was relaxing before the next set of Pax boarded : )

On the 2nd leg it was so fabulous how all the staff made comments welcoming me back and went out of their way to comment and chat.

I have my first BTB coming up on the new Horizon ship same cabin for both YEA... ? what happens to the photo that they take? do you get a copy is there a cost?

  6. Oddly enough, it's the Sea Trek tour I'm looking at. Love your Avatar:cool: . It looks like so much fun! However, my husband flat out vetoed the tour last night. While we were having dinner I had a sudden asthma episode. He is a respiratory professional and is concerned that if I were to have an episode while under water, it would take me too long to get to the surface for my inhaler. As much as I want to do the tour I have to agree with him. :(

You will have to fill out a form before and they may not let you go there were a 4 people in our group that could not make it down the ladder into the water because they could not equalize the water pressure and they will not reimburse you so check it out before you book it, I have done this excursion 3 times one of my favorite, hope you can do it.

  7. We planned our retirement 14 months ahead of time, this allowed us the opportunity to do some serious travel planing. We started in Barbados in November, Mexico in December, Panama Canal in January, Cayo Coca, in February, Palm Springs in March and Wales in April. I finally retired on April 28th. 2017. Six trips in six months pre- retirement. We are cruising to Alaska in September and then on to Hawaii in Sept / October. After working for 49 years my message is simple, don't wait until retirement to do the things you want to do. Enjoy life and travel while you can. I met up with an old friend I had not seen for a while and he told me that the only traveling him and his wife do now is to medical appointments.

We did both Alaska and Hawaii you will enjoy them we stayed in Seattle post cruise 1 week and also 1 week post stay in Hawaii my wife wants to go back to both but there are other places i want to cruise Panama Canal and more of Europe. Retirement is wonderful

  8. Congrats renbowers on your upcoming Alaska cruise we did it Aug.2016 and it was one of our best cruise. We booked the Tracy Arm excursion but because of the ice we were rerouted to Dawes Glacier. For the $$$ they charge you get a up close look but what is not told is that the ship may also follow you up close which is what happen to us so you might want to check it, if i knew that before our excursion i may have not gone we took photos when we got back and they were better than the ones on the small boat. So just something to think about either way you will enjoy seeing the glaciers.

  9. My wife and I are booked B2B with the 10 day Barcelona and then 14 day TA. We also convinced our friends to join us for the 24 days and they got the room right beside us for both legs. Can't Wait. Also got Carnival to book my flight for only $480 per person and a 2 hour layover in Atlanta. Couldn't ask for things to work out more perfect. Cant wait. Got hotels lined up so all that left is to decide on some excursions. Going to spend 3 days in Barcelona before the cruise begins and 2 days in New York Afterwards.

We are also on the BTB TA cruise also and if you check the Roll Call we have a large group excursion set-up for the 10 day cruise if interested check it out.

  10. I totally agree, knowing your not going to exceed the weight restriction and have to go through that awkward reshuffle of the suitcases is worth having a scale.

We picked up one for under $7 and it works great!

My DW collects plate from all the places we visit and trying to reshuffle your suitcase and not knowing the weight until you get to the airport ( fingers cross )not anymore i picked up one last year $5.00 #1 investment.

  11. Just in case you don't know, bookings are available on the Horizon through April of 2019. We snagged our valentines southern Caribbean sailing in a Havana inside a few months ago. It'll be our second time in that cabin since we're doing labor day out of NYC next year.

I have booked the Horizon BTB TA April 29 and May 8 so like i said when my PVP let me know i booked, it now i am also on the list to be notified when the new ship comes out mid to late 2019 so i can book it when he have the itinerary and also when the 2020 ship also becomes available. I am also booked on the Conquest to Aruba April 27, 2019

  12. On the iTunes App Store it's called Mobile Passport - Officially Authorized by CBP has a blue and white logo with a silhouette of a person and an airplane in the upper right corner.

Thanks i downloaded the right one, i will be flying out to Europe from New Jersey next year what is the procedure for using this mobile app. is there a separate line for this do you also need the paper passport ? sorry for all the questions but i like to get first hand info.

  13. We returned on Thursday. Not sure what happened at the port but we couldn't leave the ship until about 11 AM (they were setting up the lunch buffet for the newly arriving passengers) and another 90 minutes or so in line at the port facility before we decided to try the app. From then it was smooth sailing through customs!

can you give me the exact app.name for the mobile passport i download the first one but someone said the agents scan their app. which i don't see on the one i downloaded. I want to make sure i have the right one.

  14. What is the "secret" in booking a Havanna Cabin? How far in advance does one have to book, they seem almost impossible to book.

We are booked on Vista for Southern in March 2018 in a cove balcony which we really enjoy the cove balconies!

I am booked on the Horizon and when i saw the new cabin type i told my PVP to let me know the moment the itinerary becomes available. I booked my Havana Cabana cabin in Feb. 2017 for my April 2018 cruise if it is what you want don't wait if possible. i have told my PVP to let me know the moment the itinerary for the 2019 and 2020 cruise ships are outclear.png?emoji-cool-1690
