:cool:Thank you - I'm going to order my cards tomorrow from Allstate!

How do I use my gift cards to prepay for Cheers? Will it ask me rather than using the credit card I already have on file. Was afraid if I tried it would be charged to my credit card.

Does ocean plaza also have drink station?

Thoughts on Carnival transfers in NY? Arriving LGA and departing JFK. Plenty of time between arrival/departure and flights.
-
Thank you for info. Starting to get think I should just do carnival transfer or private service. About same price with no surprises.
-
Miami?
Since you claim JFK. Taxis are lined up across the street from the port.
Right. Is the Manhatten port similar to Miami and are they flat rate like they are there? Trying to decide whether to do taxi or private service to JFK.
-
do taxis line up as they do in Miami port? Is it a flat rate? Tolls?

:')Thanks to all. Yes in Michigan we drink "pop." Not soda! LOL

So any updated thoughts from cruisers who have traveled the past weeks about the best way to get from lga to port and then port to jfk?
Looking at supershuttle now.

Any thoughts or comments on using Carnival transfer for New York? Into LGA and out of JFK. What is earliest they leave? We arrive pretty early.
Thanks

Wow - thank you so much for the information! We get in a little after 9 and the ship leaves at 5 so we should be fine getting there on time. I'm thinking private company or Supershuttle private car- we did that in DC. We heard about the construction so we decided to fly in really early. Was going to do Carnival transfer but heard they tend to wait around too. Any private service recommendations? Really appreciate all your insight. First time in New York.

Can you get lemonade in Mdr?

can someone tell me what, besides water or coffee, are included with meals?
-
I've read a lot of posts and since I am a big pop person it looks like it would be worth it for us since I don't want to bring it from the room. I'm assuming besides ordering pop at meals we can order juices that we would otherwise have to pay for - is that correct?

Still looking for suggestions for transfers from airport to pier (and back) in New York? Has anyone used Supershuttle?
-
Has anyone used Super Shuttle out of New York? I used them in DC and thought they were good. Private car vs. shared?

Just wondering if Carnival's coffee bar also serves desserts? Are they free or an up charge? We cruised Celebrity and they did and they were amazing.

I believe a yellow cab charges a $50 flat rate from JFK... LGA is probably the same if not slightly less being that it closer... I would just grab a cab from the taxi stand or UBER. Which sailing are you on ? We are on the July 3rd..
We are July 11th

:cool:I don't think that will be a problem for us in the sun. We love it! It is nice to have protection in the rain though which we had a couple days on last cruise. If that happens I guess we will just need to hit the Havana bar! Looking forward to the aft view ! 83 days!

Has anyone used Carnival's transportation?

Traveling on Horizon in July. Flying into LaGuardia and out of JFK. What is the best way to transfer to and from port?
-
We are going July 11th and got the Havana aft room. Go to YouTube and look at Vista videos. Amazing views!

Yes, there are beach loungers located right there by the pier, to the left or to the right.
A lot depends on whether you're the only ship in port, or if you are the second ship in port. If you arrive after someone else, it might be difficult to find a free beach-lounger to the left of the pier (by Margaritaville). If you're first to arrive, or the only ship in port, you shouldn't have too many problems.
Note that while most of the loungers in this area are free (marked "GTCC"), there are about two rows of loungers close to the water where locals can charge for use of them. The loungers by the pool are all free, and they're not too far from the beach, as you'll discover.
There are loungers to the right of the pier also. Those are all free and the beach is less hectic. There are no restrooms there but the cruise terminal plaza restrooms aren't too far away.
Loungers by what pool are free?

Am I the only guy that dresses up for his wife? She loves dressing up so I try to compliment her with my attire. What others choose to wear is up to them as I really couldn't give a damn. Should I be the only person wearing a tux' then so what!
Good for you. Again, wear what you want and are comfortable in. Don't dress for everyone else. Just be happy! Remember you are on vacation!!!!

Anyone used Carnival transfers since Horizon began departures in New York a few months ago?
Just opinions on Carnival please.
