  1. Thanks, @mahdnc! I just checked my Delta app, and the new flights are there! I picked our seats, and we are ready to roll. No need to call FBC again.
  2. This just happened to me this weekend. My husband received the email from FBC on Saturday. It provided very little detail. On Sunday morning, Delta sent us both emails saying our flights had changed. The flight to the cruise was a small change, but our return flight was a problem. Originally, we were supposed to fly home at 5:50pm, and it got moved to 9:40am! There's no way we could make it from the ship to the airport on time. I checked my Celebrity account, and the old flights were still listed. So, I decided to call and work it all out. FBC requested Delta put us on a later flight. The rep said it can take up to 10 business days to process but that it usually happens sooner. She suggested I call back in on Thursday or Friday of this week if I haven't heard anything from Delta. I would suggest looking up your reservation through your airline. This will let you see the actual change. If you don't like it, call FBC.
  3. @AnnaNicole, thanks for asking this question, and thanks to everyone who responded. I just used some of our OBC to book Murano the first night of our cruise. I'm looking forward to it! ☺️
  4. On an upcoming Celebrity cruise, our flight home from LAX is after 5pm, so my husband and I are looking for a way to amuse ourselves between disembarking the ship and arriving at the airport. Also, we've got some OBC that we would like to use toward an excursion. Has anyone done Celebrity's Beachfront Santa Monica, Malibu & Beverly Hills with Airport Drop-Off? If so, what was your experience? Would you recommend it?
  5. This is what my husband and I do on cruises. It's a big money saver! Since we usually fly to cruises, we get there at least a day early and find a nearby grocery store to pick up wine. We try to buy bottles with screw caps, but we also pack a TSA approved corkscrew. Bringing champagne works well because no corkscrew is needed. Be sure to ask your cabin steward to clear out your fridge so you can chill bottles.
  6. When I booked upcoming flights through Celebrity, I received an email confirmation. One line of the email says "Record Locator/Booking Reference." There were two difference codes listed here. The one with "(Carrier)" next to it worked on the Delta website. I was able to pull up my reservation before making the final payment.
  7. It has been several years since my husband and I sailed with Celebrity, and we have a cruise booked on the Solstice this spring. What are the lunch options on embarkation day? I've read that the MDR is open to Concierge Class, but we don't fall in that category. We prefer to avoid the buffet on embarkation day because it is such a madhouse. Are there any other embarkation day lunch options? Thanks!
  8. Thanks to @jelayne, @the penguins, @WrittenOnYourHeart, and @dacsmom for your advice!! On the first night, I will be sure to mention that we like to sit in different sections each night. I prefer to not make reservations because I don't like to be tied down to a specific time. Also, this cruise has only one sea day, so that makes things even more unpredictable.
  9. The last time my husband and I cruised with Celebrity was 8 years ago, and we had a set dining time. Since then, we have taken many other cruises together, and we either had freestyle dining or selected anytime. Some cruise lines have done it well (NCL and HAL), and others were rather chaotic (RCCL). We are going on a Celebrity cruise later this year and have selected Anytime Dining. What is this like on Celebrity? When we were on 2 different RCCL cruises, they kept seating us in the same section with the same waiter. This is not something we wanted because we like to sit in different areas and interact with different people each evening. How does this compare with Celebrity? Thanks! 🙂
  10. My husband and I are considering a May 2023 cruise on the Zaandam. One of our favorite things about HAL is the Music Walk, especially BB King and Lincoln Center Stage. Does the Zaandam offer either of these? If not, what do they offer for dancing? We love to boogie!
  11. Hello all! My husband and I are interested in a cruise on the NCL Star. I've read that this ship has been remodeled and the Spinnaker Lounge has been removed. We love to dance! On previous NCL ships, this hasn't been an issue. Does the Star have a big dance floor and a lively band? Thanks!
