As an aside, on our moist recent cruise (jade 9 day from athens) there didnt seem to be a whole lot of people on board with us. i spoke with t he concierge and he told me there were about 1000 people on board and the capacity for the jade was 3,000.
Exactly what im talking about, our last cruise on the BA in November on 1700 on board a ship that supports over 4K. My buddy just did a crusie onthe same ship a few weeks back capacity was still just over 2K.

Supply and demand. While they are filling rooms, they have no incentive to reduce prices.
Respectfully i disagree, these ships are not sailing full by a long shot. My opinion, there is allot of cruise credits out there and NCL is pricing it so they all get used up.

Hopefully you do realize that this thread is about a question specific to those with Platinum status, right?
True the subject is about concierge services, its an off topic comment, just funny how everyone has to let everyone else know "Were Platinum" in any topic.

Yes they can be sold. But i beleive theoriginal cost is $125, at least that the most i ever paid.
You will find it hard to sell unless you get lucky finding someone thats looking. If you Ebayed it for $100 it will probably go fast. The other part that is working against you is that it expires by the end of the year. So that further makes it hard for someone to make use of it. Again maybe selling it cheaper it will go.

I never get an email. Than again i never requested it either.

Its a personal preferance i think. We prefer them near the balcony as we do not want to have to go around the bed every time we enter the room. But again just preferance. If we only had the bed near the door as an option it would not stop us from taking the cabin.

As most have stated talking to the concierge is a very good fist step. All the butlers reprot to him/her.
If still not happy with the service definetly go to customer service and ask to speak with a manager. I had to do this a few times on our BA cruise. I had a meeting with the officers in the conferance room and it did good. I was very nice at explaing my concerns, and they did a good job at making right. They need to know. Way to much $$$ to spend just to let it go.

Sailed in Haven on BA, was OK. Very cool to escape the crowds but honestly , the ships are not very full sailing at least that is what i see from comments. So i would save my money and go steerage.
Just sailed on BA for a 14 day Panama, was in steerage and di dnot miss the Haven at all!. there where only 1800 of us on board!

How fast was it? I'm considering getting the streaming option to watch a soccer game when we are on next week but am skeptical that we'll actually be able to watch it. (Steaming on Paramount+)
I had the streaming package on the BA, was getting about 4-5Meg downloads, of which the internet guy said that was extermely good speed. I was able to stream football and netflix, with the occasional buffering very occasional.

I drink black coffee and ice water from the tap suits this steerage passenger just fine (it's probably filtered/purified more than what comes in that bottle). I'll take the free!
Im with you, maybe the occasional beer. Which im happy to pay as i go.

You can book with out the packages, if you do you will not be charged the grituities on drinks. Which definetly add up if you not drinkers,

We took the BA from NYC to Nola in November, Only 1600 on board i think there were 2 cases of covid. The cruise itself was fantastic!

I just got off the BA (I'm a systems Admin) talked to the IT guy, the differance in speed is about 1-1.5mb faster and if you can do a speed test and get 4MB your doing real good!
-
Just got off a BA 2 week cruise. All activities were the same before the pandemic. There were only 1600 passangers onbaord. Was totally awesome!

Just made Platinum, thanks for the heads up!

Im on a 14 day cruise with Breakaway Nov 8, this is a one way were she transfers to NOLA from NYC.

That's why I took my full 100% refund right away. FCC is useless, unless you can actually use it.
-
Explains why mine is just a suite now it was originally a "CC" all good with me though. Wondering now that it is considered a suite will I get a butler? Time will tell.
-
This is why i took my money back! FCC is worthless.

Thats why i refuse to pay full price. I been in Haven a few times, (bid accepeted) its really nice dont get me wrong, but i will not re-mortgage my house to stay there, steerage is fine for me.
