    As well they should.

COVID-19 is not a joke or fake news meant to destroy the cruise industry.  It is a deadly killer that is still striking at the heart of our country and so many others.

Don't blame the media.  In retrospect the cruise industry tried to come back too quickly and will pay the price.  In addition, this mistake will cause our safe return to cruising to be further delayed.

Totally Agree. I love cruising miss it dearly, but its way to early to start sailing again.  Need people to take vaccine that will get this under control, than sailing can resume.

  2. Definitely read current policy as others said its very dynamic and changing.  I believe as others said currently they are giving 110% FCC now NOT the 125%.

I just got my funds returned, cash is KING!  FCC to much of a pain for 25%, 10% is even worse, and at the end of the day its just a piece of paper until you can use it.

When can you use it, well hopefully soon.

  3. Sailed this ship in a Forward Suite.

While is considered a HAVEN suite it is separate from the Haven "PROPER" area.  We actually dd a cabin crawl during this trip and had the chance to see a few different Haven suites.

By far our group thought that the Forward Suites are the best bargain for the buck.  They are huge, with a massive bathroom.  You get a window out front and a balcony on the side (although this is a small balcony for sure but more than big enough for 2 people easily)

You still get access to all the Haven proper areas.

If you don't mind the walk i highly recommend it.  Big savings.

We all want cruising to resume ASAP.  But cruising during a world pandemic has high risks.  It was only months ago with floating quarantine zones with sick passengers with no where to go.  If this happened again just to one ship, it would set cruising back even further.  As we found out, many refuse to wear masks in grocery stores.  Do we really think we want to engage these kinds of people on the high seas?  The Covid hot zones will go up and down.  As soon as they were going down here in Florida, things opened back up with Memorial day.  45 days later we were the Covid hot spot in the world.  The same thing will happen again.  Numbers are going down but Labor day just passed us and bars are now allowed to reopen.  Numbers will spike again.  Herding thousands of people on a ship carries risks.  I just dont want to see things blow up in their face with stranded passengers again.  First responders and hospitals have enough to deal with in this crisis. I cant imagine putting extra work on them to rescue the quarantined ships again.  Too many are concerned only with ME ME ME instead of the bigger picture and how we can snuff this thing out.

I'm with you here, my next cruise is Bermuda in June of 2021, even that one is not a definite, and i don't mind postponing if i must, but i need a working SAFE vaccine before i step on a cruise ship.

Disagree. Everyone had a clear choice at the time of cancellation. And every knew that the restart date was unknown.

If you go down the chargeback route, make sure that you fully disclose to your credit card company that you knowingly and willingly accepted a Future Cruise Credit plus bonus as a full refund for the cancelled cruise. And accepted the terms and conditions of those FCCs. And you now want to try and get cash back because you changed your mind.

Bird is spot on here, you had your choice.  I took my cash back instead of FCC.  FCC is a useless piece of paper until its used.  100% of 100% cash back is allot better than 125% of nothing!

My family of 5 had a cruise planned with NCL for March 15 that was cancelled. After numerous calls to them and their Customer Service they finally told us we would be refunded our money ($10k) but it would take 90 days! The 90 days are up, no refund, and phone #s I had been contacting are out of service. NCL promised the the refund and all I get are calls and emails asking if I want to book future cruises at big discounts! Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone actually received a refund from NCL? Does anyone have a valid phone # that has worked for you that I can call? Thx much for your feedback!

I would start a charge back on your CC card, if problems with that the next call should be to your states attorney general.  Or even both in my case.

I would agree with you- I think we are going to see the same pattern in other states where people just can't stay in. I feel as though it is come down to a choice between physical and mental health as well as the economy.

I went to drop my car off for routine matinenacne (6 months I had to go sometime) and was appalled at the people not wearing masks.

Florida never closed down like we did up here in New England and NYC.  They opened to early.  Up here nothing was allowed to open until we could show that we had 14 consecutive days of declines, FL and TX and others did not do that.  In my opinion that is why its exploding down there.  Here in CT we are at phase 2, most everything open with exception of large events like concerts and sporting.  We still have declining numbers, i believe we are below 200 people in the hosp. for covid-19 for the whole state now.

  8. FCC is a worthless piece of paper until you actually use it.  And that 20% stuff, yah they raised the prices so much that the extra 25% given with the FCC and the 20%off BS is just that...BS!

IF cash, is important than i would take it!  As one poster said 25% is a good return on the money but only if you actually use it on a cruise that does not have inflated prices.

Our cruise was scheduled to leave March 16th and was cancelled March 13. We put in the refund request on March 23rd. Like others we got FCC credited to our account(which we didn't ask for) while the refund waits. I didn't actually book this cruise until January 22rd which is still under 120 days so yesterday I told my credit card company everything and they have agreed  to start a chargeback. They have put a hold on the funds and now NCL has 14 days to dispute my chargeback or I get my money back, if they do dispute I will need to provide more evidence. My credit card company said they it should take no longer than 15 business days to process a refund if a company agrees you are entitled to it and 90 days was too long to wait.

I honestly have no faith NCL will ever process refunds for cancelled cruises I think they may just stall and stall until they go bankrupt. One thing about this financing they got to keep it afloat, it is NOT FINALIZED. the financing could still fall through.

Thanks for this, i have been wondering to call my CC company, and now gonna do the same.  90 days is awful!  Jet-blue just cancelled my flights associated with the cancelled cruise, they are offering me a total refund and the wait is only 14 days, which is much more respectable.
