I spoke with a supervisor, only waited 10 minutes. I reasoned that since there is precedent with Viking, Holland and Norwegian that Royal should eliminate testing immediately. He said he would pass the info up the ladder. I thanked him. Don’t know if it will do any good but at least I feel better about trying.

If you are cruising in Europe soon please call Royal and request they drop the pre cruise negative test. With the EU dropping the requirements for a pre-cruise negative Covid test result, Royal should drop it immediately. Viking and Holland already are not requiring the test on some cruises, Norwegian is stopping as of August 1st.
Thanks
Dennis

Going to Marseille on a cruise and always purchase a tee from places I visit. Saw plenty on restaurants and bars but nothing on souvenir shops. Looking for something with Le Panier on it.
Thanks

Used BDT in 2015, loved them. Going to Barcelona in late July be for cruise. Using them again , very professional and knowledgeable. Doing a private half day tour, 12 of us. Next day using them for transfer to the ship.

We are also leaving Barcelona on July 31st. When we land on July 29th we have testing scheduled at Barcelona airport, I believe Terminal 1. Cost was 30 euros per test.

Our TA was able to work it out with Royal and American Airlines. We now have a non-stop flight from Barcelona to Chicago. We are all ticketed but no seat assignments. The TA is trying to get seat assignments, but said they might be assigned at the airport. We will see.
Thanks for all the responses.

There are 12 of us cruising from Barcelona. Airfare was arranged through RCCL . I was checking on seats for the flight and the Barcelona to London was gone. Still showing London to Chicago, but no way to get to London. I checked with my TA and she was not aware of this change. She is working with Royal and airline, but so far no agreement on how to proceed. Hope things get straightened out sooner than later.

Thanks for all the input. My grandson will be very happy. A relief for his parents as well.

This probably has been covered, but I couldn’t find it. My grandson has Celiac and cannot eat anything containing gluten. I know in MDR he can order gluten free but wondering about breakfast and lunch in Windjammer.
Thanks for info

Thanks, we will give it a try

Thanks, that info is depressing though. I guess that will be our first stop. When we were on Allure in 2020 we were allowed to pre reserve entertainment before the cruise.

We board the Wonder on July 31st. Do you have the entertainment schedule? We want to reserve dares for entertainment. We have 12 in our party.
Thanks

Our family of 12 are on the Wonder in August. Our travel agent linked everyone’s reservation. She said more than likely, we will have two tables next to each other. Hope this helps.

My understanding after looking at Spains website, if your original vaccine or booster is more than 270 days old you are not considered fully vaccinated. We were boosted in October 2021, so are planning to get the second booster before our cruise from Barcelona in July.

We booked our flights through Royal Caribbean, with transfer also through them and a 10:15 flight is considered a legal flight. Our TA checked with Royal and they told her that flights that are not considered legal are not even listed as an option. I have to admit, I am nervous about making the flight.

Dania Beach hotels are a great option, short ride to the port. Be careful about a shuttle service at certain hotels. We stayed at Homewood Suites and shuttle was a bus that went to several hotels before going to the port.
if staying in Dania Beach, consider Rustic Inn for dinner. Not fancy but seafood is great and fresh. Place is a lot of fun.

We are on Wonder July 31st, doing this tour in Rome. We signed up for Best of Rome: Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi fountain and St Peters. It is $389.00 per person. Hope this helps.

I always use a TA, piece of mind. There is no cost to me from the TA and they take care of the details. Several years ago while on a Panama Canal cruise my father passed away, yes I could have handled the arrangements to get home, but my mind was on other things. Called my TA and they took care of all arrangements to get me home quickly.

Trying to plan excursions for our Med cruise and looking for info on formal nights on a 7 night cruise. Thanks for responses.

Thanks, I wasn’t planning on anything earlier than 11:00, we like to board as early as possible since that is considered one of the cruise days.

I looked on royals website and cannot find out times to board the ship in Barcelona. There are 12 people and we are arranging a private transfer to the ship. I want to let the transfer company know what time to pick us up at our hotel.
Thanks. Dennis

This was our first cruise with Celebrity, so nothing to compare with. We were in a hump balcony cabin on deck 8. Loved the location, largest bathroom we have had in 26 cruises. As others said MDR food was fine, had hard time finding an entree with the selection offered on certain nights. Ocean View cafe food was very good.
No production shows, entertainment was a mixed bag, some were excellent, some not so much.
Ship was a little over 1/3 capacity which was nice, loungers always available by pool.In general cruise was good, we prefer Princess though. With that said we would sail Celebrity again with the right Itinerary.
Request Royal to stop negative Covid test to board
