  1. I've been having trouble with the AARP rewards site this week and was finally able to pay the pre-paid gratuities (let's not go there) and the kids' Bubbles package. Not sure what it was but I could do everything but select the complete order button. I had all the fields filled out correctly and tried every browser. Just wouldn't let me complete an order until today.

I have been having the same issue today also,

  2. I have a separate question here. How long did it take them to get you the gift card? I had the same thing happen to me. I used gift cards for the whole purchase and I am anxiously waiting....The cancellation letter said up to 3 weeks. I don't like the thought of a gift card worth so much being shipped to me.

I have waited almost 6 weeks now for my gift cards refund, Nothing yet.:(

My T.A. contacted Carnival a week ago, and still no refund. Getting a bit impatient now with Carnival.

  3. Yet another positive review from a first time poster - this service seems to get lots of these. Count me suspicious :( - drivers posting or maybe they are trolling for reviews?

I respectively disagree with you on this one.

Of course you have the right to your own opinion, but I have used Jiffy Jeff several times. He has a great business and awesome service.

Maybe the poster found his service to be great (as I do) and felt the need to come here to let others know.

There is really no need for him or the drivers to "toot their own horns".

  4. I have seen several posts suggesting to go to the casino the last night, put the balance of your account on a slot machine, do one pull, then cash it out at the cashier's window. That way you get the balance in cash instead of another Carnival gift card. I will definitely try that in December. :)

Yes this is what I have done more times than once. It`s very easy to do and your money is returned in cash, if that`s what you prefer.

  5. I bought 4 $100.00 ones mid afternoon today, then decided awhile ago to order one more $100.00 one just for good measure...lol

Cruise is paid in full and I have enough OBC from gift cards to spend so, yes I think I`m addicted too.

The one hundred dollar ones are still available at 6:30 central time.

Just to verify the ones that I ordered the last time they were up for grabs came within a week after I ordered them, and they did not have the points coupon with the cards.

  6. Just a heads up here. Please be careful and check your balance when you get these cards.

I have ordered two $500.00 and three $100.00 ones without any problems but I know someone that wasn`t so lucky.

She ordered two $100.00 ones on October 20th. checked the balance yesterday (had not thought to check the balance until she read on here that someone else had this problem) and both cards have a 0 balance on them. She`s not used them before however.:(

I`m not sure how it will be handled since she no longer has her receipt where she purchased them, only where they were charged to her credit card.

  7. My $100.00 gift card was shipped (mailed) a week ago today.

It still hasn`t reached my box as of today.

I do not recall the others that I bought from AARP taking this long to come once they were on the way.

However it is Christmas time now and the mail is heavier.

But others here are posting that theirs have come really fast... I hope my card is not lost.....Yikes! :(

  8. I'll keep checking. I only need $300...3 $100 coupons.

Question...If I purchase the $500 one, will he balance be converted to OBC?

My understanding is yes, to your question.:) If this is not correct, someone will speak up.

  9. I`m not sure who are the ones posting negative reviews about the Breeze, but I can say having cruised on the Breeze twice she is my favorite ship to cruise on so far.:)

I haven`t cruised on the Sunshine as yet so can`t comment on that, but I`m booked on the Febuary 21, 2016 Journey cruise.;)

  10. So I am wondering why would you go buy a full price gift card from AARP or Lowes for Carnival.

I can see doing it for Verizon and have with the discount. but what do you gain buying full price ones. a prepaid visa card, or using your own credit card gives you more options and if you have money left you can use it for anything you want

You may pay full price value for Lowes gift card, but for AARP you do not.

They are discounted the same as Verizon.

Well, after you earn points to apply toward them that is.;)
