Yes, my opticians told me not to clean with soap or washing up liquid, for the reason that you have posted.

The Balearic Islands & Canary Islands are excluded from this update on Spain

But you would need to isolate, for 14 days on your return from these destinations,it say's.

Did anybody learn anything new during lockdown...
My lip reading course was a complete waste of time...😊

What I said was that Aragon had double the number of cases that Catalonia did. A fact that you then backed up with actual figures to show that to be true.
I think it's always best to question people.
Thank you, It's nice to be right! it's not clever to be smug, however it's far better to be fair!

I've not seen any evidence of spikes all over. Mainly in Catalonia and Aragon, as was discussed the other day and you even posted the figures.
I think I was answering a post whereby Jean was mentioning Catalonia, and you were spinning to Aragon.
Might be worth you re-looking at your post.

They are taking preventative measures before it gets bad so hopefully they will lock it down quickly, they did the same in Leicester so there’s no need to panic.
Difference, surly is that Leicester is a city, Spain is a Country,

Yes, I agree.
Trust no one.
Question everything.
The only way you learn!

I pretty much quoted the Professor of vaccinology at Oxford University. I'm sure she'd appreciate your feedback.
But you did'nt! Spin!

No worries. It's easy to miss posts. Especially when you've got Mercury questioning everything that I say 😉
You should not have a problem, to justify anything that you post, It is the spin that you seem to put on things that cause me to ask the questions.

The macaques weren't just exposed to the virus though, they were injected with a large amount of the virus directly into the most susceptible areas (including the upper airways). So it's unlikely that a human being exposed to the live virus would produce a similar result. Hopefully the current trials will answer all of these questions. Sarah Gilbert from Oxford has done a q&a video about the macaque trials. It's really interesting, think it's on the Oxford website and possibly YouTube.
Cannot find where it say's large amount!
Have I missed something?

do you mean if you want to cruise and do not want the vaccine they would charge a hefty premium. I can see that. Equally that would not help the cruises be "normal" would it. I certainly would not want our cruise next summer to still be a mask wearing one. As some people are just opposed to any vaccines full stop should/would they be allowed on a ship. Should not the protection of the many override the personal feelings of the few.
Yes, Yes, Yes, At all times!

First cruise on Aurura, 2016, table waiters were Alex and Advent.
We had been put on a table for 4 in the MDR, second sitting on the raised platform.
The other 2 guests never appeared, though out the 17 night cruise.
Alex and Advent were very concerned that we were dining alone, so spent a lot of time with us.
Gave me a chance to explain to Advent where the different cheeses came from, in the UK.
Stilton Cheddar etc, I ask him if he liked cheese to which he replied yes Sir, very much.
I asked him what cheese he liked: he said, Laughing Cow, Sir!
I also asked him, how he got his name, Advent! He said, I was born in December, Sir
We still laugh about all this, we have met both, on other cruises, and they have welcomed us as long lost family.
There are many of the staff that we think about, in this sad time, and fear that there hopes and ambitions have been severally curtailed.

It is if you believe the clickbait Jean.
Aragon region reporting 415 new cases today, more than double that of Catalonia. The spike was never really in Barcelona either, it was 100 miles or so north but Barcelona sounded better for the headline. It was similar to saying the Leicester cases were in London.
Spain today!
Aragon 415 cases
Cataluna 182 cases
Madrid 102 cases
Navarra 66 cases
Pais Vasco 61 cases
Andalucia 47 cases

Maybe the reason that day 130 we are still in lock down.
My lungs would not take the hit.
Care home would be the only option for OH.
Choices?
We have none!

I will be first in queue for the vaccination if I can.
Vaccination is not just for yourself but to protect everyone else. it should be a free choice, get vaccinated or stay home.
To simplistic!

What would put the icing on the cake so to speak, is if you try the vaccine, Jean goes on her April cruise and reports back, and Wowzz and his ole lady, sit together on a park bench for a couple of weeks eating Camembert sandwiches.
Then if all,s well, we might come out of our hibernation.😄 wowzz----respect!

So would we Harry. I don't want to spend the next xxx number of years we have left in hibernation. Anything offered that could give us back a relatively normal life we would grab with both hands.

Not doom or gloom, more reality, it was fun while it lasted, it was a joyous aside.
As a reality check
10 Million cases worldwide on the 28th June
Over 15 Million cases today 21st July
Increased by over 5 million in less then a month!
There is only one business to be in at this time and that is not cruising.
Dearly beloved!

I believe that cruising will return to some form of normality as soon as the first cruise proves to be successful, you might say I am being overly optimistic but I cannot succumb to doom and gloom.
