Thread Hijacking (Off Topic Posts) -- from Senior Community Manager, LauraS

Thread hijacking is the act of trying to steer a web forum discussion thread off topic by discussing a subject entirely unrelated to the subject at hand. This would also include making references to the original poster, or even to OTHER posters, that have nothing to do with the subject at hand. There is far far too much of this going on in the NCL Forum.

We realize that in some instances, this happens naturally. However, it does appear to be intentional by certain members. Please be considerate of your fellow members; posting off topic within a discussion -- 'hijacking' -- is boring and only wastes everyone's time. Think twice and, for some of you, even three times before posting off topic in an existing discussion: not "thinking" may result in loss of your posting privileges on Cruise Critic.

Magellan Exceeded Expectations by HappyViking Yes, the cabin may not have been bang up to date but it was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the ship. The food was excellent and the entertainment was good. All the staff were friendly and our waiters and cabin steward were brilliant. My husband has various food intolerances, especially to preservatives, and the Maitre D at our restaurant checked with the baker that he could eat the rolls, even going to his cabin to wake him up and check. Poor soul. Continue reading... Exceeded Expectations

Britannia Amazing Cruise by Holidayfun141 Embarkation took 10 minutes, our cabin was so comfortable , the television is on the wall opposite the bed so it was easy to watch a film, there are so many to choose from. The balcony is small but adequate for two people. The bathroom is small but the shower with a glass door makes up for that. Our cabin steward was lovely and kept everything clean and tidy, replenishing tea and coffee and biscuits every day. And chocolates every night. Continue reading...Amazing Cruise

Scenic Jewel Everything taken care of by ChristineL48 Fellow passengers included British, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand couples, a couple from Chile and some larger groups from the USA. The age range was mainly late 50s upwards; there were a few people with walking difficulties, but somehow they managed to get on and off the boat, which was tricky on the couple of occasions that we had to go through another boat and there were a lot of levels to negotiate. they tended to spend more time in their cabins. Hebridean Princess If it's good enough for the Queen... by delavalliere Our first dinner on board was a wonderful precursor of the culinary delights ahead of us. At least two choices per course (3 for the main course: meat, fish or vegetarian), with coffee & petits fours served upstairs in the Tiree Lounge afterwards. We had chosen to have a table to ourselves: this proved to be by a large window on the port side & would be ours for the duration of our cruise. Our table steward, Sven, would also be serving us for the cruise & within 24 hours he had memorised our various likes & dislikes so we never had to ask for anything. One of the bar stewards from the Lounge circulated continually around the Restaurant tables, topping up wine glasses with a good quality wine appropriate for each diner's chosen meal. Freedom of the Seas Our First Cruise Freedom of the Seas by Roger whybrow Sun loungers were plentiful and never fully in use. The hot tub was popular as were the pools. The various dining rooms were well presented especially for evening dinner with full table service as was breakfast in Leonardo's. The Windjammer eating room was self service it was popular and difficult to find a table during peak times. The entertainment was also very good this included an acrobatic show/ dancing on ice /a comedian who was very funny /juggler and a singing group. The casino was a popular venue as well. We didn't experience any problems or find any of the staff unhelpful in fact I would say the opposite. Continue reading...Our First Cruise Freedom of the Seas

Thomson Dream First Cruise but Hopefully Not the Last by BeverleyR The liner itself is showing its age a little but the staff keep it clean and well maintained. There are several lounge bar areas which have a different selection of entertainment as well as a show lounge. The ship also has a small range of shops a salon, reception and destination area. The lounges and showrooms are comfortable with exception of the browsing area which could be more comfortable if you want a quiet area to read. One of the lounges doubles up during the day as a very nice coffee lounge. Continue reading... First Cruise but Hopefully Not the Last

TUI Discovery Very good cruise, plenty to see and do on islands by Nyontour The cabin was very comfortable and we found the balcony big enough, the only minor drawback would be that there wasn't a great deal of storage space inside the cabin, although this didn't mar our holiday much! As an aside, although you obviously don't go on holiday to watch TV (and we didn't) , one of us was pleased to note there was also Sky Sports News as one of the channels, to keep up to date with results on occasion! Continue reading...Very good cruise, plenty to see and do on islands

Thomson Majesty Thomson Majesty - Just Majestic! by Goldiewing There is a gym on Deck 7, which we did not use, and a late disco as well. There is a very good Wellness Centre, and I had a full body hot stone massage, which was well worth the money. As this was our first cruise, we decided to have a private photo shoot. We negotiated a good price, and the photographer did a good job. Continue reading... Thomson Majesty - Just Majestic!

Oriana Loved this charming Lady by Gettingbutnotpastit Andalsnes and the train to Bjorli was on a wait list by the time we got round to booking but we hopped off the ship early and headed for the tourist centre. For around £64 we secured a coach trip out to Bjorli to include a regional snack and a ski lift to the top of the ski area. Great way to see the local countryside and the meal in a paper bag was taken in a barn with seating covered in reindeer pelts. Continue reading... Loved this charming Lady

Thomson Celebration Better Than Expected by Jivedancer56 The ship is quite small compared to many that now ply the waters but we found it to be a friendly ship with a good atmosphere. We also discovered that most of the guests on board had been on the ship on multiple occasions and if we heard once we heard a thousand times the number of people saying they would be back on in six weeks when it got to Newcastle!!!! Being small it also means that it was never very far to get anywhere. Continue reading...Better Than Expected

Emerald Dawn Fantastic Cruise by sunnypeas Emerald Dawn is a beautiful ship - new, modern, clean, plenty of room for everyone, the cabins are comfortable, the public rooms are light and airy, the food is good, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It is excellent. Our compliments to the Captain and all the crew for their hard work and efforts to make everything seamless. Continue reading... Fantastic Cruise

Norwegian Sun Really Enjoyable and Great Food by mxb350 Dining was very good and we had the benefit of speciality dining in our package and we very much enjoyed the steaks. If you want to have Teppanyaki then we advise you decide in advance when you want it and book it early to avoid disappointment. The main restaurants were also very good and we were always seated without problem and the waiting staff were friendly and chatty without being in your face all the time. In fact, I would say the staff in the main dining room were better than in the speciality dining venues. Continue reading... Really Enjoyable and Great Food

TUI Discovery Amazing Holiday! by Lauren0c0nnell The entertainment was incredible , in the day they have plenty of things to do from quizzes and musical masterminds where you can win real presents and loads of music and live performances going on. Also there were quite a few activities to do mini golf , climbing wall and they had a enormous amount of classes or gatherings for everyone to do in one day. Viking Mani Amazing Experience by Mark1957 The food was excellent. There was always an excellent choice for breakfast (from fruit and cereals to full English, Eggs Benedict and pancakes!!) and for lunch and dinner there was always a great choice of starters, mains and desserts. The chef would cater for everyone. One of our party was gluton intolerant but never had a problem finding something wonderful to eat. All drinks with your meals (wine, beer and soft drinks) are included in your package and the waiters will continually fill your glass - until you stop them! You do have to "pay" for drinks at the bar - you settle up your bill at the end of the cruise - but we thought the prices were reasonable and there was a wide variety of quality beverages available. Tea and coffee was always available from the machines by the lounge area and there was a constant supply of cookies, pastries, etc to help increase the size of our waistline!! Continue reading... MSC Fantasia Grand Voyage Abu Dhabi to Genoa by 1fifthavenue At all of the ports of call we sorted ourselves out, we’re not big on ships excursions and prefer to do our own thing. At Aqqaba we had arranged a private tour to Petra through a company we have used in Egypt for similar tours off Nile cruises. Petra was quite simply amazing. It’s a tough day out which would be impossible for people with reduced mobility. Ensure you take plenty of water with you, and even some snacks might be advisable. We entered the Suez Canal late at night which meant we spent a good portion of the next day transiting the canal - it really is a marvel of modern engineering. Continue reading... Azura A Really Enjoyable Family Cruise by Cat.m The entertainment was good. Not brilliant, but we enjoyed what we saw. It was a strictly come dancing cruise and although none of our party are dancers we really felt it was an added bonus to meet the stars and see the costumes from the show. We enjoyed watching films on the sky screen at night. Wrapped in a blanket drinking cocktails, under the stars, brilliant! Films were good too. Viking Lif Great Crew Who Made a Great Cruise by Southerntravellers After all our ocean and river cruises we don’t have any doubts to say that we were blessed with the best Cruise Director EVER! Leonard was a library of knowledge mixing every information with a useful tip and an excellent and refined sense of humour. Normally we avoid when cruising on board lectures or presentation but his daily chat about our next port of call was a “live performance” from Discovery or History TV channels: informative, full of useful information and tips, easy and funny to watch. Majestic Princess Majestic Maiden Preview Cruise - Trieste is best! by dides Immediate differences was the signage in both English and Chinese and the Chinese flower hallway carpets – blue for port and red for starboard. The cabins had 1 Chinese socket, 2 European, 2 US and 2 USB ports. The standard balcony bathroom size seemed smaller in front of the basins and the toilet roll holders placed under the basin next to the door. The new mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Otherwise the cabin was much the same as the Regal or Royal Princess. Continue reading... Majestic Maiden Preview Cruise - Trieste is best!

Norwegian Sun Brilliant 7 Night Cruise from Buenos Aires to Rio De Janeiro! by Rishigudka However despite the lack of variety in the menus for vegetarians, the service and the entertainment was top notch. Loved most of the shows including the world beat production show which was one of the best shows I have seen on a ship. The local tango show was brilliant too and got a standing ovation. The only show I was not too keen on was the rock show which I have seen before on other ships. The magician show was Ok. However the show on the 1st night by a lady performer was brilliant. TUI Discovery A New Discovery by Katomerikaf We had chosen the cruise because of the itinerary and only had one day at sea. The ports of call were all great for us but we really enjoyed Bequia, Guadeloupe, St Kitts and Antigua. We went on two ship excursions which we thoroughly enjoyed and found to be good value for money. Plenty of the ports had local companies offering tours as we came off the ship. equally we found it easy to do our own thing using local buses for a fraction of the cost and with a lot of local flavour thrown in!! MSC Fantasia Dubai to Genoa - a Very Pleasant Cruise with an Interesting Itinerary by bootscooter MAIN DINING ROOM – meals were mostly good, sometimes excellent and sometimes less so. Food was plentiful, with up to 6 courses plus extra vegetables available. Overall not as good as more expensive lines, which is only to be expected. Very pleasant tablemates added to the enjoyment. BUFFET – Much like other ships; peak times were a bit of a scrum, otherwise no problem getting or sharing a table. Some of the hot lunchtime dishes were the best we have had on any ship. Norwegian Spirit Very Little to Fault by ronandlily Tangier was our first port of call. We didn't take a tour but decided to immerse ourselves in the kasbah and medina. Immersion complete, we won't be returning there again. Tenerife, Gran caniaria, just did our own thing. The same with Malaga and Alicante. All these places are so easily walkable. Madeira, first visit. What a stunning island. Despite the horrible weather, we took a private taxi to various points of interest and as the driver allowed us all the time in the world, we finished up in an upmarket bar sipping a glass of 10 year Madeira wine. Wonderful ! Continue reading...Very Little to Fault

Azura 15 Days on the Azura in the Caribbean by Mitchell F We had freedom dining which was handly for us we aimed for dinner most nights around 7pm and asked for a table for 2 some nights a table was not available so you had a choice of table sharing (which we did 3 times and meet some lovely people ) or you could take a pager and get a drink or look around the shops and it would normally only take about 10/15 minutes the food was first class. S. S. Antoinette Great times! by Eds33uk The ship was well appointed and equipped and the swimming pool was lovely, especially as we saw no one else in it... Thomson Celebration Total Enjoyment and Excellent Value by MarkCheshire Yes, the celebration is an older ship – she’s been around for over 30 years under various names and line. She’s “traditional”; teak promenade decks and a capacity of around 1200 – a change from my last cruise on NCL EPIC huge at over 4000 passengers and almost all decks surrounded with Perspex (great for stopping the wind, but deprived of that outdoor, cruising feeling of resting against a balustrade and watching the sea…..but I’m getting poetic!). Carnival Inspiration First Time Aboard by Terry Cutmore The different forms of entertainment were to a reasonable standard the jewel in the crown was the Rhapsody In Blue Piano Bar that we visited every night, fantastic host,(Skip) who enjoyed what he was doing, playing music and songs to suit all requests that had been made, a great sense of humour he was able to engage with all of those who he entertained each night. Bravo. Other pop up musicians were located around the ship to add atmosphere with songs that they had chosen. Continue reading... First Time Aboard

Seabourn Sojourn Could not be faulted! by Mauzac We had a wonderful Room Stewardess who was just so sweet and lovely and continually tried to second guess what we might want, we felt thoroughly spoilt. Pride of America Very Good by GC48 The times in the ports are very good and there is plenty to do off ship but, as with all cruises, it is better to sort them out yourself in advance rather than use the ship as it will be much cheaper this way. We hired a car in most ports and, depending on the types of car usually costs from $46 to $60 a day for 2 of us, plus petrol. The roads are generally very easy to drive and the car hire company usually offers free shuttle from the ship. This cruise is a great way to see lots of Hawaii and we would recommend it to everyone, with just one or two reservations Continue reading...Very Good

TUI Discovery First Timer by Patch23 Entertainment was not our thing but different turns were put on in the Atrium and for us it was just really background stuff not really taking a lot of notice until one evening Nikki one of the Thomson crown came on and knocked the socks off everyone else who had appeared and even grabbed our attention. The one night we went to a show and watched Johnny Casson (Comedian) absolutely brilliant and we are still laughing now. Continue reading... First Timer

Aurora A Decent Ship with Some Problems by mactire They have a different theme each night in the buffet so there were some interesting dishes to be sampled. The layout of the Horizon was quite good with plenty of tables for two. There were occasionally queues but nothing to worry about. The Raffles bar serves Costa coffee and all cakes were complimentary. That was not advertised anywhere. The coffee was not as good as Costa coffee on land. On the subject of coffee I had read in a few places that the coffee on Aurora was not good so I brought my own. I have to say that the coffee on board in the Horizon was quite drinkable and was made from ground coffee so I brought all my own back home. Continue reading... Oriana The Northern Lights by mrobbin1 Our first port of call was Andalsnes where we took the train from the port to Bjorli Station, then came back by coach via the Troll Wall visitor centre. (The Slettafossen Waterfall was not accessible by road due to the weather.) Stunningly Beautiful Countryside. Our next port of call was Tromso where it was snowing heavily, but we did manage to visit the Arctic Cathedral, take the cable car up to the top of Mount Storsteinen and visit the Polar Museum. In Alta we did a leisurely tour the first afternoon seeing the Northern Lights Cathedral and then we visited the Igloo Hotel the next day which was absolutely fascinating. The scenery at these ports is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately we only caught a fleeting glimpse of the Northern Lights in Alta, better luck next time! Thomson Majesty Possibly the Best Way to See the Canary Islands and Madeira by N S Food was plentiful and especially good in the Bistro. If you are lucky enough to be celebrating a special date, then let them know and look out for one of the best “Staff” bands we have had the honour to serenaded by. The buffet food provided throughout the day is acceptable and offers some variation day to day. We did find however, that the Chef’s stations, where food was prepared freshly as you waited, provided a much better alternative and I would recommend the omelettes. Oh yes, and the scones; surprisingly, I had the best scones I have ever had as part of the afternoon tea offering. Continue reading... Celebrity Infinity Great Itinerary, Fabulous Ship by Travellerslife The on board entertainment team worked extremely hard and the shows were fabulous to watch, the only criticism would be here would be for the show times to be about 15-30 minutes later than scheduled. Cruise director was excellent and helped to create a wonderful atmosphere throughout the ship and you felt the whole ships staff worked together as a team/family. South America is a wonderful itinerary and we were very fortunate with the weather, with only one stop being cancelled. We arranged our own tours in port as the ship excursions were a little on the expensive side. Continue reading... Great Itinerary, Fabulous Ship

Oriana Into The Lights by Tepee Chose to see the Northern Lights and we weren't disappointed It's the first "cold" cruise we have ever undertaken and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Oriana is smaller than we are used to having become accustomed to the larger Azura, Britannia and Ventura. Like everything they all have their unique features. On Oriana I particularly liked the setting out and space between the tables for two in the Peninsula restaurant. I also thought the quality of the food in the Peninsula was the best we have experienced. Continue reading...Into The Lights

Britannia Fantastic Honeymoon With a Few Minor Flaws by mattshawman The choice of bars is also very varied with the Crows Nest probably being the nicest, especially if you are a fan of Gin. They do a very good selection. We spent a lot of time in Brodie's, which we loved. We are big real ale fans and they had an impressive selection for a very good price. £3.80 for a bottle is very good value for money. Also this is where most of the quizzes are held, and being big quizzers naturally we loved it there. The quizzes were very good, but some of the entertainment hosts could be a little irritating. Also after doing a few we found they re used some questions, so you can get very good with practice! We like a little gamble as well and the casino was next door. After a few beers though, I'm not sure this was good or bad! Continue reading... Fantastic Honeymoon With a Few Minor Flaws

Diamond Princess After 20 Plus Cruises, Our First Visit to the Far East by Darspurs Check in was easy but Singapore immigration is painful about an hour, almost as bad as UK citizens arriving in Miami. What we didn't know before we were on the ship was that it was actually two separate cruises 4 + 7 days. We knew we were stopping in Singapore after 4 days and some people were getting off and some on. What we didn't realise was that we would have to go through Singapore immigration twice on that day. Not the ships fault but a pain. There should be a way to have speed lines for those that were in transit to get back on and off quickly and not have to wait for those departing and rejoining. Celebrity Infinity Stunning Scenery and Wildlife by montythecat Ports of call were as expected. The penguins at Volunteer Point on The Falklands were our highlight. A superb day with clear blue skies. Antarctica was, as anticipated, stunning. At Ushuaia, unusually for us, we did the ship's catamaran and Tierra Del Fuego tour. Wish we hadn't. Way too expensive and the land tour element was incredibly boring. Montevideo was pleasant enough and the boat trip around the Tigre Delta when we returned to Buenos Aires was very enjoyable. Azura Excellent Cruise and First Class Service by Rotel Usually before dinner we would go to the Planet Bar for a drink and met a very friendly and helpful bartender called Simpson, from the first night to the last he always made us feel welcome and would start serving preparing our drinks as we walked in. I have to say that throughout our cruise all the staff we encountered were smiling, friendly, and helpful even more than other P& O ships we have been on. This really did make the cruise. There is no doubt in our opinion that the Azura is a happy ship and this was reflected in the atmosphere around the ship. Continue reading... Excellent Cruise and First Class Service

Spitsbergen The Northern Lights danced all over the sky. by discerningedinburgh We booked this voyage hoping to see The Northern Lights and we did. 4 nights out of 6 the Aurora was there in all her glory. 12 sightings in all. That's what I call success! We've cruised on 'cruise ships'; Celebrity & Holland America. We knew The Spitsbergen was not a 'cruise ship' and having read some reviews here we were a tad nervous. The ship exceeded our expectations. She is modern, warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff (mostly Norwegian) are professional, efficient, friendly & helpful. The food was local, delicious, varied, plentiful and beautifully presented. Continue reading... The Northern Lights danced all over the sky.

Thomson Dream Brilliant Itinerary with some Minor Niggles by susyq 1967 We chose this cruise based solely on the itinerary which included Cuba, Columbia and Grand Cayman (having missed Grand Cayman last year due to adverse weather). Now here's the thing. The itinerary changed almost completely from when we booked it in May. Same ports just different days! Flew from Manchester on the Dreamliner. It was no dreamliner for sure. Perfectly average flight with average food and service. Seats narrow and uncomfortable but good leg room. On time and smooth. I have never done a package cruise but liked leaving my bags and not seeing them again! Continue reading...Brilliant Itinerary with some Minor Niggles

Good choice of entertainment from comedians, magic shows and a Beatles tribute (the latter two we had seen before but still enjoyed them again) as well as latest release films shown on the Movies under the Stars screen or available the following day on cabin TV. There was also a large choice of free films available on cabin TV. Continue reading... Not as good as last cruise on Royal Princess

Oriana Force 11 Finale to a Spectacular Cruise by spleaver Our first time on Oriana, having previously sailed on Aurora, Oceana, Ventura and Britannia plus a couple of non P&O ships. Nice classic ship, teak decks, wrap around promenade, good size and with that lovely stern. Particularly liked the railed balconies as you could lie in bed and see something, not just salted up glass! Liked her so much we have booked another cruise. There is engine noise which is particularly noticeable in the rear restaurant but it didn't stop our table from having a good time. Continue reading... Force 11 Finale to a Spectacular Cruise

Celebrity Solstice Great cruise in spite of weather by Calabrun I have read lots of reviews finding Celebrity's entertainment lacking but this was certainly better than the last cruise we did with them. The singers and dancers were great as was Will Martin. We also really enjoyed the 'silent disco' were everyone wears headsets and has a choice of 4 different songs. We have already booked our next cruise with Celebrity ( should have done it on board.) We had a really great time, visited some great places, ate some great food and enjoyed a cocktail or two. Next time will take my gym kit to exercise away those extra pounds. This is the only lie in this review. Continue reading...Great cruise in spite of weather

Aurora 1st leg of the Aurora 180 year celebration world cruise by rich 112 I liked Aurora, there seemed to be a lot of space with plenty of rooms over several decks where people dissipated. The outside space was great and we could always easily find a sun lounger even on sea days. There are three main pools, the front pool at times had some music and occasionally a singer for an hour or so at lunchtime. I thought this could have been improved on with some background music at least. The middle pool was the quiet one with a retractable glass roof (by the buffet restaurant). The rear pool had great views but was very cold and had the kiddies pool and play area incorporated Continue reading... 1st leg of the Aurora 180 year celebration world cruise

Zaandam Return to Antarctica by Bridget31 On board were experts on Antarctica, including a Naturalist, who was out on deck 3 early on the mornings of sea days. We joined her and many passengers on several occasions and a list of birds and animals sighted was written up regularly. There were lectures from the experts and from Wallis, the lively Location Guide. We prefer to watch these on TV in the evenings because there is too much to see outside to be seated in the theatre in daylight. Unfortunately, the lectures were not given a scheduled slot and it was pot-luck to catch one you wanted to see. Lectures on ports gone by were also repeated unnecessarily. Continue reading... Norwegian Jewel Great Panama Canal Itinerary; Ship Casual by ship2sure The daytime sail through the Panama Canal was fascinating, even for those not technically-inclined, and it was worth watching the film about its construction beforehand (just a pity they didn't show the more recent tv film about the new cut, too). Having a historical interest, the old colonial cities of Cartagena, Leon and Antigua are all worth a visit, though the latter two are a bumpy and sometimes challenging ride for wheelchairs! (OK with Nike attitude!). Continue reading...Great Panama Canal Itinerary; Ship Casual

Midnatsol This was an adventure and an expedition. Not a cruise. by DavyT We were lucky to have made all our scheduled cruises and landings including Cape Horn. In all we were off the ship 14 times (11 landings and three cruises). This really was an adventure. We had close up experiences of many types of penguins, seals and sea birds as well as fantastic scenery, massive icebergs, fabulous sunsets and historical research stations. There was no time for boredom as we seemed to be in and out of boats all the time or simply gazing at the scenery as we sailed through the spectacular channels and bays. Continue reading... TUI Discovery First Cruise by DreamIslands Smashing ship, glad we chose smaller compared to some we saw en route. One couple who were not on our ship described her as "a lovely old lady" and big and new is not always better, we agree. It's the personal more intimate touches on a smaller ship. The cleanliness was just astounding, from our cabin with a balcony to the non stop cleaning of the interior to the exterior. My one niggle that the carpet could have been cleaner in The Islands. The food, particularly The Islands was 'outstanding' the choice was fantastic, always hot with hot plates for it to be served on, something for even the fussy of palettes. Continue reading... MSC Fantasia Doubtful about Dubai by Jantheman132 In Khasab we had again arranged an independent dhow tour, which was a bit choppy on the open water before we reached the fjord where it was very calm and we saw dozens of dolphins. Or maybe the same 2 or 3 several times! It was windy and therefore a bit cool, so I chose not to go swimming or snorkelling but the water was very clear and even from the boat we could see loads of fish. Britannia Big, Brilliant Britannia. Almost Perfection! by trescomania Space- never crowded, always places to cater for all. The noisy pool area did fill up quickly, but there were plenty of sunbeds in and around the rest of the ship.. My favourite area that was peaceful without any music was right at the back on deck 17 – the rattan comfy sofas. My husband preferred to read in the Crow’s Nest at the front, which was empty in day time. Many smaller seating areas inside and out all around the ship. Continue reading... Big, Brilliant Britannia. Celebrity Eclipse First Time to the Caribbean by Bev Mulcare I don't think we made the most of the onboard entertainment around the ship as generally we would be on excursions in the morning, round the pool in the afternoon and the theatre after dinner. Entertainment in the theatre was not to our taste, a few good acts generally very mediocre, mainly catered for mostly American audiences which happened to be the vast majority of the people on board, also a lot of Canadians. We also found the age group on board to well over 70+ which was again different to the summer which was pretty varied but that was in Europe. We met some really lovely people. Continue reading...
