I hope this doesn't lead to lingering issues since I will be on the Glory in September
-
I've never been on an eight day cruise, so I'm not 100% sure. I think it's the first sea day and Grand Turk.
-
I'm looking forward to the rest of your review. I am on the Glory I'm September and can't wait.

The second and seventh post answered it perfectly.
mdsgu, the only time a cruise fare will go down again is if the economy craps out again. Carnival will never cutback their fares because they cancelled a service or are staffed with less employees.

Following since I will be on the Glory in September

Okie, which cruise are you going on?
-
Thanks. I was as little worried about Grand Cayman but found out it is against the law there. Belize will be snorkeling, Roatan will probably be the free beach and Cozumel will be a beach day/snorkeling. At least that's the latest plans. Thanks for the responces.

It would depend on when their contracts end. That would be the main reason they wouldn't be there. I would go to the roll call a week or two before your sailing and see if they could see if those preticular staff members are still there.

Look forward to reading since I will be on the Glory in September

on the Carnival Glory September 22 sailing?
-
I need some help. Me and my wife aren't prudes but we will have our young kids with us. We enjoy the beach and snorkling. What beaches should we avoid in the western Caribbean if we don't want to expose our young kids to thongs or topless women. Thanks in advance.

Carnival is doing some weird stuff to offset the price drop on my cruise. They added additional pricing for front, back, or mid and they are charging to choose your own room which almost brings it back to my old price.
-
Jeff, thank you for taking so much time to put this, and all your reviews together. I really enjoyed the first part and I'm looking forward to the rest of the review since I haven't ever cruised out of Fort Lauderdale and would like to see it from your perspective. I can't wait to read the rest!

Enjoying your review. Brings back great memories of last October being with you at Little French Key and Mr Sanchos. Will be back on the Glory in September!
Which week in September? I'll be on the week of the 22nd.

I got the up sell email also. My cruise is still 5 months out but they wanted $314 to move up one floor and to the back of the ship under the pizza place. I turned it down because of both price and location.
-
I just got an email for my cruise that is 6 months away. I didn't take it. It wasn't a good deal since it was almost full price and I'd move under the pizza pirate/ back pool area on the glory.

Not saying it won't happen but July is early for a hurricane. Hurricane season starts in September or October. Also, most independent tours usually ask for a small deposit and payment when you get to the excursion. They will know when the ship has to reroute and adjust without penalty usually.

Wow that's very sad

I've luckily already got mine for my September cruise. I've gotten FTTF on my last few cruises but I'm done with it now. I'll get an afternoon boarding time so my room will be available. I guess the Diamond and platinums cried enough so carnival is getting people to think twice about it.

Nice review so far. Following and looking forward to the rest.
-
My favorite part about these "sales" are the up charge in booking a interior ( about $5.80) a day for a true interior and then the up charge for moving to a higher floor
-
I think I've seen some 12 ounce size cans of monster on ama zon but you have to type 12 ounce monster in the search bar
-
Very nice start to your review. Following along

Very nice. Congrats

I haven't heard of that rule. I would say yes you can go.
