We live nearer to LHR than you but rather than take the risk with traffic problems on the day, we always book a 'stay and fly' deal. A night in a hotel near the airport and the car left in their 'reasonably' secure car park while we are away.
That’s what we would normally do, but we arnt flying until 10 in the night.

HI Guys, Going on MSC to Dubai in February and flying out of Heathrow. Can anyone recommend a Meet & Greet Parking company. I have heard some bad reports about some companies, hence my reason for recommendations. Thanks Guys.

I'm surprised that you do not already have the option, when I access our upcoming booking on Preziosa I have the option to pre book for the specialty restaurants or a dining package.
There is no option on Splendida which is strange

We are booked on the Splendida in March 2019. The website states there are no specialty restaurants on the Splendida. When logged into our booking there is no option for specialty restaurants either.
There are 2 specialty restaurants on Splendida, the butchers cut and the other one I cant remember, did you know that it was refurbished earlier this year, because of the Chinese market.

The speciality restaurants are not included, even for YC guests. You can pre purchase a dining package for the speciality restaurants which i believe from comments is very good value, although it's not something we've ever booked.
I dont think they do the specialty restaurant packages on Splendida

Hi guys we have booked our first cruise on MSC, we are going to Dubai on the Splendida. I have just been looking at a menu for the Butchers Cut Specality Restaurants, and I can’t believe how expensive it is. We have booked the yacht club, I did read somewhere that if your in the yacht club you can order any meal you like even from the speciality restaurant restaurants, is this true or are the specialty restaurants purely payment only. I hope not as they are outrageously expensive

Hi Guys, I have been looking through the forum, and there is hardly any mention of the Splendida, is there a reason for that ?

Hi Guys joining Splendida in Dubai in February, trouble is we are landing in Dubai quite early. Anyone know the earliest we can get onboard the Yacht Club. Thanks

Hi Guys we are trying the yacht club for the first time. Can anyone please tell us about the formal nights, How formal are they, is it black tie or just suits, looking at some photos of Splendida it loo’s like lots of men are wearing suits most of the time. Thanks

Hi Guys, need some feedback please. We are thinking of booking the MSC Splendida Yacht Club in January from Dubai. The problem is we have read so many negative reports about MSC being terrible, like the friendliness, the food etc. I haven't read that many good reports to be honest, but I also cant see that it cant be that bad especially in the Yacht Club. has anyone got any feedback please about splendida and the yacht club. thanks

Hi Guys, its my first time on Marella, going on Discovery 2, can anyone say if there are any first day discounts available like speciality dining ?
-
Someone on another Marella site, has just come off Discovery 2, and he was saying it was a great deal, so it must be available ?
-
Hi Guys anyone know anything about the specialty restaurant 3 meal deal, on the discovery 2, is it worth it and what’s the cost. Thanks
-
hi guys, I am sure this has probably been asked before, but are you allowed to take any of your own booze onboard ?.

Hi Guys, looking for some advice on the Yacht. Club, we have tried Norwegian Haven, and found though it’s good, we thought it vastly over priced for what it is, so we thought we would try the yacht club. So my questions are, how does it compare to the Haven and which ship has the best yacht club, or any other information you think may help. Thanks guys

I've only cruised on Uniworld, so I'm offering my opinion from that perspective.Even though Uniworld is a higher end line, I don't find it stuffy or snobby at all. You will find that your fellow cruisers may be a little better educated than the general population, and most have traveled abroad previously. One my first Uniworld cruise, I had dinner every night with 3 other ladies I met on the ship who were also traveling by themselves. We were a nurse, a teacher, a librarian, and an urban planner. Hardly a stuffy or pretentious group.
From my standpoint, Uniworld is all-inclusive. On my first cruise, the only thing on my onboard account was a charge for postcard stamps. On my second, there was a charge for some earrings I purchased using OBC. I had to add a few euros to cover the cost. I have a 3rd Uniworld cruise coming up in October.
All meals, beverages (unless it's high end alcohol), tips, tours, and transfers are covered.
If you have specific questions about Uniworld, please post them and I'll try to answer.
