Hi Guys, we are really interested in river cruising, but we are a little unsure. We have done 3 sea cruises around the med, but we are getting a bit fed up with the same itinerary's, so we are considering a river cruise. Trouble is we feel they may be a little bit on the stuffy snobby side, but we could be wrong, Do you have to eat at large tables as we are very private and prefer a table for 2. Also are there any fully all inclusive river cruises ?. Can anyone recommend a good river cruise and Itinerary. Hope you can help take away our doubts, thanks in advance.

Hi Guys just arrived in Marseilles we are docked right opposite the Star, there seems to be a great deal of work going on, huge cranes all over the ship. Hopefully they may upgrade the cabins, they were somewhat under par when we sailed on her last September. Otherwise it’s such a lovely ship.

Hi Guys, I am coming off the Symphony of the seas on Sunday the 20th, and staying in Barcelona for a night. So can anyone recommend some reasonably priced restaurants, I would love to try the Catalonian Lamb. I know some restaurants can charge stupid prices, also somewhere nice to have a drink. We are staying at the Hotel Suizo in the Gothic Quarter. Thanks

Hi guys, I am a bit hesitant about booking with MSC, they look like they have fabulous ships and great itineraries, but, I have read so many negative reports about MSC, I really don’t know if I should risk trying them. We really like the itinerary of the new ship Bliss, and if we booked we would like to try the yacht club, but as you know it doesn’t come cheap, so do we risk it ?.

Hi guys, just had a thought, I am going on the Symphony in May, I have the ultimate drinks package, so my thought was this, If I order a double gin for example, will it cost me anything extra, as if I am correct the drink limit is $12. So if for example a gin was $6.95, do I need to pay the $1.90 extra ?

Hi Guys, going on Harmony for the first time this year, never been on a huge ship before, and looking at all the videos on YouTube etc., everywhere looks extremely busy. Are there any quiet bars where you can have a drink and hear yourself talk. Also is it relatively easy to get a bed in the adults only solarium area, or is there a mad rush first thing. Thanks guys

This all sounds so disappointing looks like RC is failing in this area. we went on the Norwegian Epic last year, and their steak house was magnificent, I had a 20oz Tomohawk Steak with no up charge, and it was the best steak I have ever eaten.

Yes that’s an up charge for bigger and better piece of meat

Hi Guys, I have booked some specialty restaurants on the Harmony, and I have come across something on the chops grill menu. I like a big steak and I noticed that against the 20oz Porterhouse steak, there is a price of $19. will I have to pay that additional charge even though I have booked and paid for the chops grill in advance ?. I’m sailing next month during spring break in a family suite on the Star and it was only $900 per person (4 people). Wow.

Yes but March in the Mediterranean is considered a very low season, try getting the same deal in September

hi Guys I have 2 questions I hope someone can answer, can somebody tell me what the cruise next deals are like, we are sailing on the symphony of the seas in May, also we have booked a 2 night speciality restaurant package, it says we have to have these on the first 2 nights, in restaurants that they pick, can we change the restaurants and the nights ?

Hi Guys, wanted to ask a question, is it me or has anyone else noticed that Norwegian prices have increased dramatically since last year, I was on the Epic last May in the Haven, and it cost £1800, this year it’s £3400, and we were on the star in September, we had a mini suite for £1200, this September a balcony is £1800, I can’t see why this type of increase is justified?

Hi guys just wondering if the RCI ships have heated pools, this our first cruise with RC, going on the Symphony in May 18, normally we cruise with Norwegian, and there pools are absolutely freezing.

Hi Guys, we will be debarking at Barcelona next May, apart from getting to and from the airport we have never been in Barcelona. Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel which is both close to the port and to the centre.
