We've done both. The first time we didn't have one and our room steward just brought one. The second time we put in a special request ahead of time and the last time we asked once onboard.

We are sailing Carnival Dream on October 5th and I was wondering how the Frightfully Fun Halloween all month long works. Am I correct in thinking they will designate one day/evening as "Halloween"?

Carnival Dream 5 day vs. 7 day (differences?)

Since when was this a thing? I was on a 4-Night cruise on the Horizon and afaik was not charged for lobster.
I could be wrong but I thought they quit having lobster, at no charge, on cruises less than 6 days more than a year ago.
Maybe they still have it on the Horizon 4 night cruise because it's the newest ship?

Thank you for the information!

We'll be sailing out of Galveston, on the Dream, for a 5 day cruise this October. I'm curious, other than no lobster (no charge) on elegant night what other differences are there between the 5 day and 7 day? Also, is there just the one elegant night or two?

Two reasons! First reason, I LOVE spending as much time as possible on that ship for my vacation! Second reason, my husband is a Type 1 diabetic. It NEVER fails, every vacation, every holiday, simply switching up his routine as his BS is through the roof. It's nice for him to have our room to pass out in rather than on Lido looking passed out drunk before we set sail! 🤣

I'll never forget the excitement the children had when they saw chocolates on their pillows! I miss that the most, I think!

We prefer 7 day cruises, with the family, and have never felt as though they were too long. We have done a couple 3 day cruises for a quick getaway without the kids and have left wishing it were longer! On the other hand, my sister-in-law has done 2 seven day cruises and felt "trapped" during both. Definitely recommend 7 days!!

Thank you for the info. I enjoyed the days of having it delivered the night before, not too fond of picking it up in the morning!

Is alcohol purchased in port or on board delivered to the stateroom on the last night or will we have to pick up elsewhere on the morning we disembark? Thank you.

Have Fun!! Love your enthusiasm and excitement!! We'll be on the Imagination in 3 weeks, 3 VERY LONG weeks!!

Does this only impact Saturday departures? Next month we are doing a 3 day from Thursday to Sunday, I wonder if we will have the same issue?

If you fly into Long Beach, a cab is just as easy (maybe easier). Especially if you have FTTF. In long Beach we were on the ship by 11:00.
louanne93 - What time did you arrive at port? We also have FTTF purchased for our September 20th cruise and was curious as to when they start boarding. The earliest check in says 12:00 but I was hoping sooner. Thank you.

We always get FTTF and have felt it is more than worth the extra expense. I tend to rationalize the "extras" and when looking at a sailing 12 months away that is only 20.00 per month to cover all 3 rooms and when looking at it that way it's a minimal expense. I can pretty much make ANYTHING about cruising work in my head! HaHa! Especially with the little one, I would definitely recommend it. Enjoy every minute of your cruise!!

We have been on Magic twice and Breeze once. Our last time on Magic (Sept. 2016) and on Breeze (Oct. 2017) we were fortunate enough to have Pocholo as our waiter (Magic) and Bartender (Breeze). Absolutely wonderful individual!! Always smiling, always laughing, and always memorable!!

We have sailed on the Magic twice and have had only good memories of her!! Our children, ages 6, 9, 11, thoroughly enjoyed themselves!! Your children will have plenty to do to keep themselves busy and happy!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember reading somewhere they are charging for a sharps container now?? I don't know.
