Yay! Thats very encouraging:)

First time I cruised on Golden I found I could buy their olive oil (ordered through Sabatinis) so I bought a couple of bottles; second cruise they had run out completely so my plans were thwarted.
I'm hoping to be able to buy it when on Golden again in a few week's time.....
Anyone else bought their olive oil?

Great thanks for that - I did do a search on YouTube but didnt find that one!

Hi ya, have booked this stateroom for a short cruise - it has angled balcony which appears to be 50% larger.........
We like that it's on deck 14 and just a few steps outside to the Terrace Pool and one deck up to Horizon Court, yet not directly below the buffet area.:)
-
How much bigger is the balcony? It looks to be 50% bigger again with a view towards the front of the ship.......
I like location of this as you walk straight out onto the Terrace Pool and it's only one deck down from the Horizon Court, but not directly underneath the buffet itself:)

Hi Leigh, how much did the taxi cost from the airport to OPT please?
-
Ok that sounds very manageable - particularly if there are seats to sit on along the way - thank you very much for all the help to this question:)
-
How long does it take to walk from train at Circular Quay to the OPT? Neither of us are particularly mobile (osteo-arthritis) and I'm worried about the walk - particularly with a suitcase.....?
-
Awesome thanks so much for your help:)

Hi, back on Golden Princess again next month, and my friend and I arrive at Sydney Airport at 9.15am. Plenty of time to catch a train into Circular Quay and make our way to the OPT.
If flight arrives on time, we will have a few hours to kill before boarding but don't want to drag our suitcases around with us....so.....the big question is can we drop our bags then go hang out in Circular Quay area for a few hours then return to offically check in?
Has anyone done this?:halo::halo:

Hi twice cruised on Golden in a suite and we loved the breakfast in Sabatinis each morning. I read somewhere on a thread that the suite guest breakfast was in Crown Grill.
Has it changed?
Thanks:)

I have cruised on Golden Princess twice (March 2017 and January 2018) and am about to cruise on her again in October this year.
The first cruise we experienced that bad smell on deck 7 by the theatre, but on the second cruise there was no smell at all!
I like her, she handles bad seas really well:)

I agree it's a pretty short-sighted move on their part - and very disappointing.
I'm wondering if this is a pre-curser for the same decision to be made in other continents?
-
No unfortunately I don't know the answer to that; you're going to have to give them a call; but they should honour pre-existing referrals surely? :halo:

3 sleeps to go before we board Golden Princess - yippee yi yay!!!
-
I had the same trouble (Kiwi!) and asked Princess Cruises about this. Apparently this is no longer available for Australian and New Zealand Princess Cruisers; totally sucks in my opinion:(
-
We are able to order from the main dining room menu for all meals; that was really more the direction I was asking about:)
-
I like the idea of ordering breakfast from the extended suite menu, however having experienced Sabatini's breakfasts, there's absolutely no way I'm missing out on that experience every morning - wow, it's awesome!
-
Hi am excited as my next cruise on the Golden is only 11 sleeps away now!
My friend and I are booked in a suite; she has a friend who is on the same cruise but they are booked in a regular mini-suite.
Are we able to invite her friend to have lunch or dinner with us in our suite if we're ordering of the main dining room menu?

After unsucessful searches everywhere on Princess Australian website for the refer-a-friend link I finally emailed Princess Cruises to ask what had happened to the link.
This is the response I received:
I have received your enquiry regarding the Refer a Friend.
I do apologise but unfortunately this program has ceased in Australia.
If there is anything else we can assist with please do not hesitate in contacting us.
Kind Regards,
-
Yes it used to be there, but it's gone from their Australian website:(
-
Okay looked as suggested, and also tried the link; it's not there - this would be the Australian Princess website - totally sucks I can't do a referral:(
-
Ok thank you to you both for this helpful information:)
2021 Australia/NZ cruise schedules - when are they likely to be released?
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers

Hi ya, am off on Golden Princess again in a couple of weeks, then have a short cruise on Ruby Princess Dec 2019......
Probably won't be able to cruise again until 2021.
Given the knowledge base on these forums, I'm hoping one or more of you can give me some idea of when schedules are likely to be released for last half of 2021.
Turning 60 that year, so absolutely MUST do another cruise to celebrate:D and I will want to book as soon as dates are released!
Thanks:D
