  1. I have had this same issue recently. My sister and BIL cruised with us in November and will be going again in 2 weeks. Both of those cruises, I had the same message. We have another booked together in a year that I can link. All we can think of is they booked those 2 cruises late and after final payment, so we are not sure if booked differently. Neither of our TAs could figure it out. The first one I called and the person I spoke to sent an email to the ship and we were linked. The next one I have not gotten a positive answer when I call. We will go to all dining rooms once on board to fix I guess.

  2. We do not sail in suites, but do book the larger verandas on the slant. Loungers definitely fit as we had them in the past. Since we are often a party of 3, you would  think we could get 3 chairs, but in January even that was a no on Reflection. I will try again on Eclipse in a few weeks.

I will be sailing Eclipse on May 26th......guess I will find out if I have loungers on my balcony when I get to the ship.

Are you in a suite or a veranda? We will be a family of 3 on a following cruise and are booked in a deluxe veranda on the slant. We will definitely ask if none are there. Pre covid, we always had 2 loungers and 2 chairs in the same type veranda but post covid, only 2 chairs for the 3 of us.

Since you were there in  017, TFL has gone to contactless payment. You can use any contactless credit card (obviously use one with no foreign transaction fees). You each need a unique card.

I have a question about credit card usage.  Can my DH and I use the same credit card account as we each have a card? Also, can I hand DD my card to use after I tap in?  Her card does not include no foreign transaction fees.

  5. We had this issue last year when there were 3 of us in a cabin. Especially at meals, all the wine went in DHs tab. He went over one night and it took 4 trips to guest services to get it resolved. He also dealt with a rude guest services person, who basically said he was drunk and didn’t remember what he ordered. We mentioned him by name in our survey but no response from Princess. Next time, we will be more in top of it.

  6. I noticed the price increase over the weekend. We are cruising from Southampton to Rome in October and there are 3 of us and another couple. I had priced a few excursions that involved long travel each way about 3 weeks ago and noticed last weekend they had all increased $20-$30 per person. We have not made any definite plans yet so not much I can do. We do like to do private excursions with the 5 of us, but several sites involve at least an hour each way travel time. We are considering using ship excursions for these just in case of transport delays.   No one but me has looked at anything so I am just forgetting about the increase. 🤣

Other than domestic, I would not book an EzAir round trip ticket for this very reason.

Too late for us for our October trip to Europe but good to know it can be done for the future. I am not sure why I didn’t try it since if we are repositioning between two US ports, I do book the legs separately.

  8. How does this work? DD and I signed up for the martini flight in an upcoming cruise due to a great price…and having had a few cocktails before we did it.
Do we show up at the martini bar when we want or is it a set date and time?  I may cancel one of us and share the mini martinis between us if that is allowed.

  9. Sorry to read of your loss. It is hard to lose our 4 legged friends.
I am following along as I have never been to New Orleans and would love to do this cruise. The next two years they are not as long🤬.
Do they not have the ingredients for the Lavender Lemon Drop at the Martini Bar?  I would be looking for missing ingredients myself at first port. My DH will be making me one shortly for pregame.
    Enjoy your cruise

  10. We were on Reflection in early January. DD drinks moscato like water-lol. She was able to get it almost everywhere. The first night we ate at Lawn Club she was told not available. We went back 3 nights later and the sommelier said I will get it for you and poured her a few glasses.

  11. You are most definitely in a “hump” balcony deluxe veranda. The balcony is by far larger than a regular balcony. We usually book on the back slant whereas you are in the forward slant. I am interested to know how the wind is on your balcony as we would be open to more possibilities. Enjoy this itinerary, we were on in early January for the same. If you are snorkeling in Bonaire with Woodwind, they are a great company;  Bring an extra $40, one of the guides takes a couple of hundred photos of fish and guests that you can purchase and they send you a link later that day.
Have throughly enjoyed all your trip reports in the past.
Sorry to read of your recent loss and that you are solo cruising. Hope the cruise helps to calm and relax you.

  12. As a side note, we were originally booked on Emerald Princess for the Solar Eclipse in April, but we decided the old locks won out over the Eclipse as it was just an added bonus to us when we originally booked that cruise.

  13. I am hijacking this thread slightly. We are booked on the Coral WB in January also. I have started looking at excursions and wonder what the best thing to do the day in Fuente Amador that would enhance the transit. Quite a few look interesting.
    Thanks.

  14. We usually do not get off in Nassau. However, the end of November we did a food tour with Tru Bahamian Tours and had a great time. I felt 100% safe the entire time. The guides were great. I feel for the tour companies like this one that may lose business over the actions of a few.
