things disappear from the website all the time. just check again later. i think you should still be able to purchase a drink package up to 3 (?) days before the cruise.

I would go with the YC, ad well. But I am not traveling with a toddler and don’t particularly like whirlpools.
So ask yourself how important that whirlpool tub is to you. Otherwise, YC should be amazing.

i have just booked a fabulous new cruise for americans only...xenophobic cruises! There’s actually a food court with a mcdonald’s and a chick-fil-a! Woo-hoo! They only serve domestic beer onboard, which is just fine by me. I do like my pbr in the morning! You can even get a big mac in the mdr, where they show nascar 24 hours a day, for an upcharge! The entertainment is real cool too, with all the singing in ‘merican english. C ya’ll onboard!

I think this year I would go with the River rafting (despite crocodiles lol)
-
I did the sea kayaking and dunn‘s river falls last summer through the Divina.
We enjoyed it very much!
Nobody said we had to buy anything. We were maybe 20 people.
The kayaking was fun but a bit short.
The Falls were a lot of fun, as well.
At the top of the falls there were s lot of very pushy vendors. Now, I have no problem walking on and saying no but they pulled aside my teenage son a couple of times and had to get stern.
I had no cash left otherwise I would have bought a beer offered by a vendor right at the exit lol.
We enjoyed our tour very much.

On all accounts there’s canapés, wine and champagne.

Mrs Bees, I like how eloquently you explained the issue!

At least the YC waiting area has decent refreshments, if you’re a little early.

Oh, so sorry to bother you all, and yes I see some posts on this. AGAIN sorry.. if you don't like the questions, DON'T RESPOND to them. Thanks.........
I agree.

It’s explained in one of the threads. Apparently, it’s the same menu but with limited choices.

Well stated. I've been on Carnival (yuck) Disney (amazing) and 3 MSC (2 Florida 1 Mediterranean) and have loved all 3. Were there some issues on each ship? Of course there was. Just like there is when you go out to eat, take the train, fly on an airplane, stay in a hotel or go to a resort. But I will NEVER let something as (in my own words here people) trivial as a line at customer service, an employee having a bad moment or day, my bed not being made till 2 pm (thank god it gets made for me), a 5 minute wait for a cocktail or a company trying to up-sell me a zip line, photo, bowling or anything else they want to sell me (anyone ever been to Disney World or some other park) ruin any part of my hard earned vacation. Now I may have paid extra for Yacht Club on March 10th but don't hold that against me as I get to get on or off the ship faster and have some other special areas of the ship to myself. That's what I paid for. If you want those things pay the extra. Just like when you fly. You want free luggage, drinks and food? Pay for first class. Don't bitch and moan that some people are getting something your not. See you March 10 and lets all have a drink together and celebrate 7 wonderful days of vacation.
Exactly!

Items on the menu marked with two asterisks.

385 dollars per Person. Every person in the cabin must buy one.

so will we....

He'll be fine - it's only the 3-11 age group that get the limited package, so you're going to have to find something else to torment him with! :p
no worries... he would have taken his revenge by putting his gym socks in my pillowcase. ;)

Ah nothing surprises me any more lol!
My son is almost 16. We are going to be in the YC but if I can have gelato and he can't, I will sooo make a show of eating gelato - slowly, with gusto - in front of him. Hahahaha!

i hope that's true

yeah, so she has the adult non-alcoholic drink package. You're right, it's not very informative though. It appears as though cappuccinos etc are not included but I am not sure that's true. It also makes no mention of the mini bar. At the same time it states all people in one cabin have to have the same package and this one is for persons 12-20. It can be combined with any alcohol package that the adults may have. So... how would they know who took drinks from the mini bar? They wouldn't.
This is the time I would call MSC and ask for clarification in writing.
I was on the Divina last summer and purchased the 18 drink vouchers with my Fantastica experience. So both my 15 year old and I had 30 vouchers each, his were non-alcoholic but otherwise covered the same stuff. Might be useless information though since the 18 vouchers don't exist any more.

Bea, I got confused so I studied their drink packages.
According to their website, only children up to age 11 are eligible for the child drink package. So, not sure if she has an adult non-alcoholic package at age 15 or what.
But otherwise, as far as I know, all persons inhabiting one cabin must have the same drink package.
Hm. I'm going to investigate further.

you can only make reservations on board

Sea Cruisers is a youtube travel program I watch. This video was in early January, I will be on the top floor Interior Yacht Club, so i hope I won't have the problem. This lady and her group, were near the bow, on the fourth floor.
She was on deck 5, portside, mid-forward.

That's not quite true, windlicht. There are some non-alcoholic based items that are only covered with the deluxe package. These items have 1 asterisk next to them. (Items with 2 asterisks aren't covered by any packages).
Wel,, if she stays in the same cabin, she'll have the same package.

Apart from maybe a touch of ethnic stereotyping (and mind you, "Europeans" includes a wide variety of ethnic groups, same as "Americans"), a very thorough, informative, excellent review. I enjoyed reading very much.
The European/American issue was a bit bothersome to me, which is why I mention it.
Thanks for the wealth of information and the exorbitant amount of time you must have put into this review!
