Princess - love the freshwater pools and Movies Under the Stars. We like the pool deck food amenities and self laundry. We like the balconies better and wish Princess cruised out of the NYC area. It seems all my kids need to be happy is a pool, mini golf, ping pong and an arcade which are all found on any line.
Princess sails to Canada / New England out of NYC in the fall.

On at least one occasion I've seen missing passengers return to the ship via the Pilot boat.

I know this happened to the Liberty a couple of months ago, when my daughter was aboard and they hit every port as expected.
Maybe if they stop hitting every port, they won't have to do maintenance as often. 😉

On the Anthem, the Music Hall also has pool tables on the upper floor, with television monitors to watch the fun happening in the stage area.
That area is also used for Diamond Club overflow.

Lobster was day 4.Just got off the Anthem yesterday. 5 nighter to Bermuda. Dress night was day 2. Lobster was day 3. -
Whole Maine Lobster = $29.95My question: on those dinner menus, what is the price of the 3 upgrade options at the bottom each night, if I want a whole Maine Lobster or Surf & Turf? I see the extra 18% gratuity but the rest is cut off.Chops Grille Filet Mignon = $16.95
Surf and Turf = $34.95

The one and only time I sailed on her, she was brand new. I sailed on the very first revenue cruise ... March 26-29, 2001.
Enjoy your cruise!

The original DD idea was nice but the reservation system was AWFUL. Of course, being on the first "regular" sailing with DD (Quantum TA - Southampton to Cape Liberty, NJ) didn't allow for any bugs to be worked out. On the same Anthem sailing the following year, I chose DD Classic which worked very well and I liked the day to day change of environment / menus without the hassle of making reservations. When first implemented, it was four different "free" dining rooms each with a different menu that did not change night to night. No fixed (traditional) seating, it was all like My Time. As time went on, they added more menus and had a "classic" option that added a traditional fixed dining time that rotated through the different restaurants. -
I bought OBC but will most likely not use all of it. If I set up a cash account, do they refund the unused balance in cash at Guest Services?

I will play devil's advocate. Book another cruise for next year instead of upgrading for $700. :)
P.S. I booked an Inside VB Guar. on the 10/18 Anthem 9-day Canada/NE and was assigned an Oceanview.

Did you ask the online TA about transferring your existing booking and re-pricing?

And they're STILL the same shows that I saw 3 years ago on the Southampton to Cape Liberty cruise. :(You are completely right about Spectra showing off the room. They should let people know, it explains a lot about the show. The Gift was just strange, pretty to look at though. -
Sorry to hear about your issues. But ... the thread title is very misleading.
P.S. I've booked thru Air2Sea multiple times and will continue to, if applicable.

Book a guarantee and possibly get a free upgrade.

And Quantum Class (Quantum, Anthem, Ovation).Yes, and Oasis and Allure too. -
I'm 0 for 2 with Virtual Balconies.
Booked Inside VB guarantee on Quantum maiden transatlantic from Southampton to Cape Liberty. They initially assigned an Oceanview, then later assigned a deck 13 Balcony.
Booked Inside VB guarantee on Anthem to Bermuda. At 6 weeks before sailing they've assigned an Oceanview.

And Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card.Hello,My friends and I were on the same ship (Anthem).....with the medical emergency's - I actually heard it was 5 people that were medically evacuated from the ship during the Aug 9 - Aug 18 cruise. Just proves the value of "Trip Insurance"!
EMERGENCY EVACUATION & TRANSPORTATION
If you or a member of your immediate family are injured or become sick during a trip far from home that results in an emergency evacuation, you can be covered for medical services and transportation up to $100,000.

But [almost] all that time in the Chesapeake is covered by cell service. :)Anthem is farther north, but Grandeur spends A LOT of time getting out of the Chesapeake Bay. -
We were also on that cruise. Small world. We were on that cruise too. Loved the celebration for Cyrus, a super nice crew member that worked in the Windjammer and MDR. He worked on the Grandeur from day one. Was a great 20th Anniversary celebration too.Gwen [emoji3]
Why do you like the Radiance?

Were you on the planned inaugural voyage or the maiden revenue 3 day pre-inaugural voyage (March 26-29, 2001)?
My daughter and I were on the maiden 3-day voyage. MDR was total chaos for the 3 days. They hired 75%? new staff rather than moving staff from other ships. Otherwise, the ship was beautiful.
