This is why we New Englangers live where we do... Absolutely!! There is sooo much natural beauty here! π Gotta love it π₯° The angle of the sun and your composition for these photos and the ones in your earlier post really capture the beauty of our beaches. Does the Westerly Chamber of Commerce or any other organization put out a calendar with local photos?? If so, I am sure they would love to use some of your photos!! They remind me of some of the paintings and prints Iβve seen in the shops in Watch Hill.

My goodness! Youβve had an even longer connection with some of the members of your team than I realized! That would make it even more difficult for both those team members and for you to say goodbye. π’ They must love that you display their pictures and football things. It seems that you and the students share a mutual admiration. βΊοΈ

Awesome sunset photos! @Ocean Boy I especially like the composition of that first one. Regarding the seniors on your football team: You write about them like a proud Papaππ₯² You have been a part of their lives for four years now. During this time, youβve witnessed their growth from boys to young men. I can understand why you would feel emotional at the end of their final football season. Iβm sure the players are going to miss their team Doc just as much as you will miss them. Iβll bet many of them will come back to visit you next year and beyond. Take care, Sue

Yes, I agree! They just appeared one day a couple of months ago - a nice addition. They are a bit weathered and splintery, but fine to sit in as long as you are not in just a swimsuit. There is a tall flagpole behind the chairs that makes a clanging noise when it gets very breezy. The sound reminds me of the sounds you hear at a seaport.

Well, I think you may like to see a few of the pictures that I took earlier today. π It was so beautiful and warm (71Β° F) and sunny here in SE βNewβ England today!! We took a short ride to the small local beach near us thatβs on Narragansett Bay. (It is a bay in RI that flows into the Atlantic Ocean.) It appears that the sea was much calmer up here than it was down where OB was - which is south and west of where we were.

Hi Greg, When I want to take a screenshot on my iPhone or iPad of something like a recipe that extends beyond the visible screen, I take the shot and then the βshotβ drops down to the lower left corner of my screen. I tap on the βshotβ and then at the top of my screen, Iβm given the choice of how and where to save it. Then I choose Full Screen and save to Files. I took some screenshots a few minutes ago that I hope will show you what I do. Hope they attach okay. I used the page that you posted your statement on.

Hi Jim, I decided to βrevisitβ some of your photos on my laptop vs. my iPad mini, so I could enjoy them even more. Iβm glad I did, because I was able to spot this very coool βface in a hoodieβ on one of the icebergs you photographed. You posted it on Sunday on page 33. It is post #804. I went back and was able to see it on the iPad, too, by stretching it. I wonder if you will be passing by it again on the second βlegβ of your B3B? Thank you sooo very much for sharing your thoughts and photos with us. I hope you will be able to see the Aurora Borealis tonight!

@dani negreanu Our Dear Sweet Dani, I am sooo relieved to read that you are safe! π You are the βheart and soulβ of this thread and Iβm sure I speak for all of us when I tell you that we really miss you when you are not able to post. I will continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers π and I hope your son will arrive home in time for your family vacation. Take care, Sue π π€

Hi Jim & Iain, I thought you might like these screenshots I took of your sailaway. As you can see from the time stamps, your captain wasted no time heading out of the harbor! Too bad the camera is on Staten Island, so there was no view of your cabin. Best wishes for fair winds and following seas for your B3B. As always, I look forward to reading your reviews. They're always so wonderful, witty, and detailed. Sue The ship seems to be listing a bit while making the turn? Unfortunately, an oil tanker? blocked most of the view of the Summit passing under the bridge.

The scenery was incredible, even though it rained for almost the whole trip! I took these from that little platform that's at the back of each car and only fits two people. (I'm not sure of its name, but it's not the caboose.) Please excuse the blur, but it was pretty rocky back there and quite rainy that day.
