  1. We were scheduled to go on the Sunrise next year, September 11 - 19, 2021 for an 8 night. We got an email on Thursday Morning saying that the Sunrise will be doing short cruises, 4 & 5 night. So we got switched to the Carnival Horizon, 8 night but the date is now September 4 -12, 2021. We do not know our new room number as of yet. I do see the new itinerary on Carnival's Website. So we have different ports of call but it's okay with us. We are to get another letter by August 23rd with more information.

I just hope we are done with the cancellations and all the moving around at this point!

  2. Good Afternoon Byrd!!

I LOVED Your Cruise Review!! A review of a Carnival Cruise, on a Cruise Critic Site, Wow, Go Figure!! LOL It was a lovely break from the typical conversations that have taken over on Cruise Critic. I'm glad you and your friends had a good time on the Glory. I'm happy to read that the cruise newbies now want to book more cruises. Yay for them!

I hope you all continue to enjoy cruising together as friends. Take Care!

I am curious too.  When I used the $15 promo for laundry, I was told to fill out the laundry form and write $15 promotional on the form.  But for the free Platinum laundry, I wonder if there are special laundry forms.  Between my husband and myself, we can have six free bags of laundry per 7 day cruise.  I could send out a small bag each day for six days if I wanted to.  Clean clothes nearly every day.  What a great benefit!  We would only send out things like underwear, shorts, socks, T-shirts, and casual shirts.

I could see washing my DH's Swimming Trunks, Shorts and Tee Shirts as well as my Shorts, Swimming Suits, and Capri Pants. That's less wet things that I'd have to pack to take back home to wash. Thanks for the tip!

I will be Platinum on my next cruise, so free laundry.  Yay.

This brings me to some questions. I have been Platinum for a while but never thought of doing Laundry on a cruise because that seemed like work and I want no parts of work on Vacation. So how does Free Laundry Work? Do I mention it to the Cabin Steward or what? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

People are here to talk cruising. Not see COVID numbers for the day

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

That's a Great Question! I too, have been wondering the same thing for the last Month or so. And as soon as someone comes on here to talk about cruising and how much it's missed, the Naysayers try to put a negative spin on it. That or can't believe there are people who are willing to compromise their health, the health of others, call us Desperate, etc. for still wanting to cruise.

All I can say is, Really? Well actually I could say a few other things but I'm sure I would get booted off Cruise Critic!

I have a cruise booked for late September and I cannot wait to get back on a Carnival Cruise Ship. Vista here I come!!

  6. I personally like to go to the Steakhouse on the first night. I like to get a free bottle of wine to go with my dinner. I've never found that the first night is crazy. Also on the first night I'm not missing out on anything that special, it's also not one for the Elegant Cruise Nights either so I still have that to look forward to when me and the DH are dressed up and take pictures. At least doing the Steakhouse on the first night gives me the rest of the week to dine in the MDR if I wish.
